I’ve been using iPhones for a long time. I bought my first iPhone when they were first released when I was a teenager. As the years have gone by I’ve upgraded my phones as I’ve needed to do so. In 2021 I bought an iPhone 12 Pro Max. This phone has been amazing. My favourite feature is the ability to airdrop between devices. I have a MacBook Pro and an iPad Pro, and I’m an artist, so being able to use easily send files between devices is amazing! The camera/s on this phone are also really good. I’ve managed to take some spectacular photos using this phone and I’m really pleased with it. As far as longevity, it’s been two years and my phone doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. I came from the X, and so far I love it. By far the biggest upgrade for me is the battery life, it is just outstanding. As I type this I’m getting off a 12 hour shift at work and I’ve used my phone extensively all day for various things from some games on my break to watching a movie in my car on lunch, etc. I’m sitting at 75% left, and by the time I go to bed tonight I’ll probably be around 60%. I simply can’t kill this phone. My X would just barely last me all day, and I could honestly go two days without charging this one I feel like, especially if I used it conservatively. As far as the size goes it’s definitely way bigger but not too big that it’s unwieldy. It fits in my pocket just fine (I’m a dude so if you’re a lady your mileage may vary) and it fits fine in ... It fits in my pocket just fine (I’m a dude so if you’re a lady your mileage may vary) and it fits fine in my average sized hands, I don’t have too much of an issue using it one handed. I chose the blue silicon case from Apple and it’s got a great sleek profile, and the texture is surprisingly grippy which helps with the one handed use. Overall I’d definitely recommend the 12 pro max if you are a big media consumer on the go and need the battery life or if you just want a big beautiful display.

Apple continues to impress me as usual. This phone is huge! Exactly the way I wanted it to be. After coming from an iPhone X and keeping it for almost 3 years, I was so happy to see the size upgrade. The battery life on the 11 pro max is around 15 hours. Whoaaa! That is absolutely incredible! I don’t have to haul my charger around to every car or every home I visit anymore. I can actually charge my iPhone at night and it will stay charged the entire day without having to plug it in and recharge. Night mode on this phone is Phenomenal too. The stabilization on the video at 4K 60fps makes this exceptional for B-roll. Adding B rolls to your videos can single-handedly take your videos from looking basic and choppy to seamlessly incredible. If you’re into filming videos ... In October 2020, my boyfriend surprised me with an unlocked Apple iPhone Pro Max 12. He pre-ordered it from Apple, and it arrived in less than a week in excellent condition. Apple's product shipping is impressive and reliable. First and foremost, the aesthetic of this phone is as bank as a phone can get. It features an almost 7 inch (6.7 inch to be exact) Retina XDR OLED display. Unlike most phones, this one has a very distinctive curve to it that are within the standard rectangle shape. The pixel resolution is 2532 by 1170 with a ppi of 460. The contrast ratio is 2,000,000 to one. This is outstanding quality. The pixel resolution is 2532 by 1170 with a ppi of 460. The contrast ratio is 2,000,000 to one. This is outstanding quality. I am really impressed with the HDR display, as well as, the use of True Tone technology. The mp camera is probably the strongest feature on this phone, it includes a system of three-in-one. Ultra wide, wide, and telephoto. In addition to multiple cameras, the iPhone 12 Pro Max includes a series of features including a portrait mode that takes photos as professional as a camera you would spend thousands of dollars on. You can zoom up 12 times with the regular camera and 2.5 times when using the portrait mode. It’s the best camera ever in a cell phone. If you love taking pictures and selfies, this is the camera for you. This is just the rear camera of the phone. The TrueDepth camera complements the entire system of cameras. By itself it is a 12 megapixel camera that basically includes all of the features you get with the rear camera system. It also features a strong retina flash and burst mode which is ideal for anyone who loves taking photos. The quality is as immaculate as a camera can get on a mobile phone. This camera boasts exceptional video quality with its HDR and Dolby Vision features, making it perfect for capturing footage any time of day or night. Additionally, the sound quality matches the high standard set by the video, giving it a professional feel akin to a standard video camera rather than a typical mobile phone camera. The resulting 4K Ultra HD footage is nothing short of outstanding, making this camera the ideal choice for avid videographers. I’m so impressed with the phone’s battery life. The device incorporates a lithium polymer battery that is rechargeable. It offers an 80-hour audio playback, 20-hour video playback, and up to 12 hours of streaming playback. During initial usage, the phone's battery remained between 90-95% for three days before experiencing any significant drain. The MagSafe charger is great for quickly charging your phone, but the standard charger also works well. Many chargers from previous iPhone models are compatible with this device. Personally, I prefer the fast charging cable because I have a phone case that requires removal in order to use the MagSafe charger. The phone has various internal memory options ranging from 64 GB to 512 GB, but customization is not possible. The absence of a 1 TB option is a downside for some users including myself. Despite a neutral engine, the phone boasts an exceptional A14 bionic chip. The phone is water-resistant, but not water-proof. The longevity of this phone in correlation to water is 30 minutes with a depth of almost 20 feet. So if you are swimming in a pool and your phone accidentally falls in, you can save it from dying completely. Additionally, this phone has 5G speed and is the first iPhone to utilize this type of technology. 5G-Plus is also available. Other technology available is the FDD-LTE, TD-LTE, UMTS, HSPA, HSPA+, DC-HSDPA, GSM, GPRS, and EDGE. The iPhone 12 Pro Max also features communicational abilities utilizing HD voice, WiFi, and video. The Bluetooth is v5.0, which is very strong. You won’t find another phone that has all of these capabilities at this quality. At least I haven’t other than iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The phone's accessibility options are impressive and extend beyond TTY/TTD compatibility to real-time text (RTT) capability. Additionally, the device features voice-over, zoom, magnifier, Siri dictation and text, switch control, closed captions, and speak screen. The phone also has assistive touch and back tap options. As with any technology, there are downsides. While not a severe issue, the ceramic screen shield on this device is prone to scratches. This is an uncommon experience for me, having been an Apple customer for 10 years and owning several of their devices. Apple uses OLED screens in many of their newer devices, which are known to be more susceptible to scratches compared to other screen types like LCD. Many Apple consumers were hoping for a 120Hz refresh rate on the display, but the device only features a 60Hz refresh rate, which is half of the expected rate. Other devices have already matched or exceeded this refresh rate during the time of this phone’s initial release. While disappointing, some consumers, like myself, may have settled for the 60Hz refresh rate due to the need for a new phone. It's important to note that the device is not water-proof and may not survive extended exposure to water. Despite these issues, I believe this is the best phone I have ever owned and possibly one of the best on the current market next to the iPhone 13 Pro Max and the iPhone 14 Pro Max devices. Therefore, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality phone. Overall, the iPhone 12 Pro Max is a fantastic device.
It's a modern iPhone... no matter what you're doing on it you'll have a fantastic experience. Just moved from a Pixel 3 XL and the smooth gesture based experience is brilliant. On the larger screen you've got a great media consumption experience but I do have to use two hands to properly use it. If this is a dealbreaker for you then you're probably not looking at a Max anyway. The larger screen in my opinion is a bigger plus than being able to use it with one hand since lets face it you've probably got both hands free anyway. The 12 Pro Max is a very powerful phone and you won't be missing anything compared to any iPhone 14+. Phones are so powerful now that anything you'd reasonable do on a phone is completely taken care of. If you're the frugal type like me going a ... Bear in mind 12 is when MagSafe was introduced if this matters to you, I've personally loved the whole MagSafe ecosystem. It's like Qi charging on steroids. Wholly recommend going 12 over 11 for this alone, you'll love it once you start using it.
Honestly i can’t even tell it’s been used, I legit am so picky and also have the Samsung z flip 4 (which I purchased brand new with Verizon) so I am willing to pay a ridiculous amount for a brand new phone, because i just am. I love my 12ProMax over all. However. The other day, mine broke. The back of it shattered. You might be wondering “what?? phones can still do that??” And the answer is, if it’s Apple, then yes. Apple thrives off of carrying the “best of the best, the newest and best technology”… but it comes with a twist. With that beautiful sleek design comes fragility that not even a really good case and extreme precaution can protect from. My iPhone was in a good case, and still, it managed to shatter. Not the front, but the back. The part that is apparently supposed to be even stronger than the screen. Absolutely totaled. Seeing as I had gotten my iPhone only 8 short months previously, I figured that I was well under warranty still and, even though I had purchased my phone through Verizon, should still be covered through Apple under the limited warranty that is available for a whole year after purchase (and that I was still well within). I read on their website that they would be able to repair just the back of the phone for $99 under warranty; which makes sense because it seems like a manufacturing error that my phone would shatter from little to no impact while in a case. I made an appointment at the Apple store, and apparently my high hopes for such an expensive phone were too high. Due to the fact that I didn’t purchase a specific type of Apple Care, they would not replace the back glass panel for $99 under my one year warranty. Instead, they offered to replace just the back of my phone for a one time low cost of FIVE.HUNDRED.NINETY.NINE.DOLLARS. Needless to say I wasn’t going to pay $600 to solely replace the back panel of my phone. At that point, it was cheaper to just replace the entire phone. So, I ended up contacting my insurance company and doing just that. Two days later I have a brand new phone through Asurion (NOT Apple) for well over half of what Apple would have charged for just the back glass paneling. It is super sad to see that a corporation that had gotten so much of my business is so selfish. But I am not shocked. So all in all, I love my device. But it is way more fragile than it should be, and Apple banks on this being the case so they can scam you into paying an unreasonable amount of money for a replacement. Just be warned, Apple is very little help when their products break due to poor manufacturing, and if you buy this phone, expect to be let down by Apple if you need help, and definitely expect to have to go through your carrier’s insurance and file a whole claim because Apple can’t be bothered to fix what is definitely their fault.

For some reason android app buttons pop more visually. - Quick glance information ( battery percentage, temperature, date, time) falls short, and should "jump out" at the user for quick comprehension. All the information just blends together. - "Back" and "home" gesturing creates a lot of strain in my hand and inefficiency. - This phone feels like a brick. It's heavy, I have pain in my hand using this phone. -Typing/texting on this phone is a nightmare. I've tried swiping, double handed, single handed...tried messing with settings, it mistypes words so much I have stopped texting friends. It's almost like the keyboard is broken. I never had an issue with accurate and fast typing on my pixels. It's my biggest problem with the phone...I can't even type a single word without it auto correcting and adding periods everywhere. The only good thing about the phone: battery life, clear and smooth display, possibly the performance. On a daily basis, android ecosystem and function works a lot better for me...I'm going back to either the Pixel 7 or Samsung S22Ultra.
Camera is good but everyone already knew that. Aside from that the phone has many other pros...runs smooth as most iphone users have come to expect. I love how easy this phone is to hold and operate with one hand. I'm only 5'8' and have no problems with this at all...not sure what all the complaints are about that. Love the blue color. The 512GB is more than enough storage and options for 256 or 128 make it a bit more cost effective for those needing/wanting less storage. The face recognition is fantastic and works flawlessly. Make the phone and apps much easier to interact with. The chipset makes the phone super fast...but where this device shines is its battery life. I abuse this thing and it lasts throughout the day which is great. All in all its a great device that justifies its price with expectional performance and functionality. Highly recommend.
Getting this phone and switching to Verizon has been one of my biggest, most expensive and annoying regrets in the past year. I switched May 2021. First, it took 6 months and incessant calling to finally get the bill credit to show on my phone bill. I was paying the full amount all that time while they clearly showed receipt of my trade in. Very crappy customer service! Now to this trash phone that goes dark every time I charge it. It dims for almost an entire hour and there is nothing I can do about it. MoreGetting this phone and switching to Verizon has been one of my biggest, most expensive and annoying regrets in the past year. I don’t have any settings that make the phone auto-adjust and moving the bright dial does nothing. Even went to the Apple store with them claiming to not be aware of that problem even though a search online clearly shows others experience the same thing. People also complain that they hear dead air while I’m talking. And idk if it’s this phone or Verizon but lots of times when I’m using cellular data, it’s turtle 3G slow and I can’t get pages and apps to load for several minutes. I constantly getting the no internet is connected error. I’m over Vzw and Apple products at this point. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!
