Apple iPhone 13 Mini 128GB Black - Excellent Refurbished

First off, I'd like to let the community know that you should expect renewed phones to come with a lot of scratches and less than 90% battery life. Most iPhone mini users did not use cases, so the reality is that this model isn't going to look great. That being said I was very disappointed with my purchase because not all of the components of the phone were working out of the box. I unboxed and setup my iPhone 13 mini, transferred all my data, only to realize that the bottom speaker makes no sound at all. It's clear to me from this purchase that Walmart does not properly test their refurbished phones. A simple test of the speakers would have immediately flagged this phone as defective and would have saved me tons of time. I figured the in-store option for returns would be faster, but it's not. I returned the phone to the store a week ago and I haven't received an email indicating that the store has sent the phone back.

Great size and, with the brighter screen, I have not noticed that it's smaller than my iPhone X. Battery is not amazing though, but that's due to it being a very neat little package that slips nicely in my front pocket rather than the back one, from which my old phone had slipped a couple of times. The glass back on the recent iPhone range is very prone to cracking and is basically a "live with it" problem, which is pretty rubbish really. Can't understand the thinking of having something so fragile that cannot be replaced. It's probably not water resistant anymore and that's a pain and it's lost that sleekness that is what you pay for in an iPhone. 10 months in and the battery is now at 85%, which is dreadful and causing a lot of problems when travelling. I was reluctantly forced to upgrade from my iPhone 6 and although I was tempted by the larger sizes I selected the Mini because it's perfect for my hands: I'm small and also have arthritis in my thumb, so stretching my palm to hold a phone isn't a good idea.Differences between this and my old phone:- the sound is much better - even without selecting 'speaker' it's clearer. That's another £19 if you want to plug into the wall and not your Mac. And if your Mac is oldish (my MacBook Pro is 2015) you've got to buy as adaptor for the USB too - same price again. So add £40 to the overall cost.
