It was easy to set up as you just sit your previous phone beside it, if it is an iPhone and it guides you through & transfers all the things from your previous phone. I find it easy to use and can see the difference in screen from my 11 pro, it seems brighter & crisper. It is also much quicker when using the internet & apps.Be aware the cost is the same, but you no longer get a charger plug, in the box it is just the phone, the simm tool and a usb-c lightening cable. I have purchased MagSafe chargers which are really clever and use a clear Apple case with MagSafe, which means I don’t have to remove case to charge phone. I also had to purchase plugs for these as they didn’t come with them, so if you are buying and want to use MagSafe for charging, bear in mind the extra costs involved in buying all these extra things if you don’t have them. The camera lenses really stick out, much more than my 11 did, but the quality of the photos and videos is incredible. I took a video last night and then air played it onto our tv and was so impressed with the clarify. The zoom seems much better than the 11 on taking photos.I have used iPhones since the original for home and have to use android at work, so can compare. Honestly, I tend to avoid my android work phone at all costs as for me I find it much more complex to use than an iPhone. Obviously iPhones are never cheap and I buy outright, as don’t want to be locked into a phone contract. But with very you do get the good options of buy now pay later etc, so it means I can buy then save each month to pay it off in full when it is due.

Buy it if you have the cash to burn for luxury.

OR 3.) get this as a free or very discounted upgrade through your carrier if they still have them at the time you are reading this. OTHERWISE skip the 13 line up and go for the 14 Plus or Pro line up

It's Decent - Meh or a Worthy Upgrade
27 September 2021

This is the first iPhone I wasn't really excited for; but went ahead and upgraded since Best Buy/T-Mobile had a pretty good trade-in deal going on and my iPhone 11 Pro was getting a bit outdated (overall battery health was at 83%, it lacked a 120hz screen, and 5G). The 120hz screen is really nice, and yes, finally having 5G does make a difference in browsing/streaming on the go and makes me feel like I'm part of this decade. Aside from that - it's like having a bulkier version of my 11 Pro. The new design looks nice; but the edges aren't as comfortable as the curved 11 Pro edges to hold or to pocket - pocketing my 11 Pro was nice, this phone just feels bulky. Also - yes, I love the f/1.8 aperture; but at the same time not overly amazed by the camera to where it ... MoreThis is the first iPhone I wasn't really excited for; but went ahead and upgraded since Best Buy/T-Mobile had a pretty good trade-in deal going on and my iPhone 11 Pro was getting a bit outdated (overall battery health was at 83%, it lacked a 120hz screen, and 5G). Also - yes, I love the f/1.8 aperture; but at the same time not overly amazed by the camera to where it justifies an upgrade from the 11 Pro. There are improvements in battery life as the phone does last longer, even with somewhat heavy use. Functionality wise - same old iPhone; basic and you can depend on it to work and keep you and your data secure. Overall, I am happy with the 13 Pro; but at the same time it was a "meh" upgrade that I don't think I really needed. If you're upgrading from the iPhone X or older or maybe from Android because you want to try iOS, the 13 Pro is definitely worth it; but if you aren't the type that needs to have the latest iPhone every year, just hold off until the next version. On a side note - want to thank Best Buy for finally being able to activate T-Mobile devices and for offering better deals on activations and trade-ins than actual T-Mobile Stores. Also, the team at my local Best Buy was awesome even though they were a bit overwhelmed with the number of activations on this iPhone release.

They work for 3 months, then the problems start

Apple sent it back to me saying there was nothing wrong with it, and charged me for another phone while under APPLE CARE.There are serious problems with these phones and with Apple. I’ve had iPhones going back to iPhone 6, and had ZERO level of problems as I’ve had with 12 and 13. If you need a new phone, get a good Android.

iPhone 13 Pro is very good, but iOS is a mixed bag
9 July 2022

Really good phone. The screen is very bright and crisp and clear. I don't love the camera lenses sticking up on the back top because it doesn't sit flat and even with an Otter case it slides around easily unless I put it face down. I wish the volume buttons were on the side of the power button. I like the silent mechanical switch. I don't love the notch on the top but you get used to it. I was forced to iOS because I wanted bluetooth streaming with my new hearing aids. I still prefer Android but have accepted iOS and see it does have advantages, but not enough to where I'd prefer it if I had a choice. FaceID works really well to access the phone -- much better than finger id. I don't like that I must use Apple's Contact app -- wish I could use Google Contacts -- have to buy an app to sync them continuously. Google Calendar doesn't allow you to set a custom event reminder tone -- only Apple Calendar can do that -- so calendar reminders only get a generic sound that isn't very distinct. For anything important you have to setup an Alarm -- again quite a pain and inferior to Android. Another bummer is that Apple continuously takes over the keyboard from my chosen 3rd party keyboard and I have to reset it back. My last big nitpick is the way Apple does preferences which is ridiculously dumb where you only have some app preferences within the app but other important preference must be accessed via the Settings app which itself is a nightmare organization with related settings broken up into too many places -- mega pain.
