My iPhone 13 promax has giving me more trouble than I care to mention. I have been suffering with that issue like many, of being stuck in “backup restore” mode. It has been like that since I got my phone, which is now been a couple of years. Needless to say, this really, really, really limits what I can do with my phone and frustrates the crap out of me. Apple customer service initially tried to brush off my issue, sort of make me feel crazy, and now I continue to remind them how many people now have reported the same issue. Eventually I will get some sort of reprieve, afraid I’m going to have to buy another phone, not real sure if I’m going to get another iPhone 13 promax, or another iPhone for that matter. My daughter and my husband got the same exact phone, at the same exact time as me, and they do not have this issue and never have. I don’t understand it. That is the only reason I even consider replacing my phone with another iPhone. Would I recommend it? No, I would not. There are thousands of people with my very same issue with this phone.... The camera quality continues to improve to the point where I no longer find myself using my personal camera. There is always a new feature to learn and consistent software updates that can make your phone feel brand new. I never have to worry about speed or glitching. The quality of the device itself has improved massively over the years! I have dropped this phone more times than I would like to admit (sometimes without a case) and it is still in mint condition. 5 years ago if you dropped your phone the entire screen would instantly be shattered. I also appreciate the new charging blocks that allow me to charge my phone fully in less than half an hour. I have plenty of storage even with 17,000 + photos and countless documents and applications saved. It’s worth it, I would rather have an iPhone 7 than the newest android device.... Show more

This is apples best product and they have not topped it. For the value it will actually never be surpassed. The 14 and 15 pro max may be marginal upgrades but they are FAR from necessary when this exists. It will get the job done fast, be battery is godlike and it has a 120hz display. Realistically you shouldn’t be buying another iPhone besides this one, the phones have peaked and can’t possibly make a change to justify the price vs this which is about $500 now or less. You decide to check your email first, the A15 Bionic chip powering through tasks with no lag. Opening the Mail app is instantaneous, and your inbox loads with an almost eerie speed. The TrueDepth front camera catches your eye for a moment, reminding you of its power in FaceTime calls and selfies. The depth of the blacks on the OLED display feels almost infinite, and colors pop with a richness that’s still breathtaking. As you pull down to refresh your emails, the haptic feedback gives a subtle, satisfying click beneath your finger. With your thumb, you swipe to the camera app. You’re greeted by the view through the triple-lens system—each lens captures sharpness and detail that feels nearly professional-grade. You flip to Portrait Mode, admiring how the software perfectly isolates your subject with a creamy, cinematic background blur. Toggling over to the wide-angle lens, the field of view expands dramatically, allowing you to capture everything in front of you without even taking a step back. Curious, you decide to shoot a quick video in 4K at 60fps. The stabilization is nothing short of impressive—the footage stays smooth even as you pan around, and the phone doesn’t break a sweat. The sound of the world around you is crisp and clear, thanks to the spatial audio microphones. After a few minutes, you’re editing the clip directly on the phone. You pinch and zoom, cutting frames with the precision that was once only possible on desktop editing software. The phone remains cool to the touch despite the intense processing happening in the background. The True Tone display adjusts effortlessly to the lighting around you, always maintaining the perfect balance of warmth. Even when you tilt the phone, the viewing angles remain sharp and consistent—there’s no distortion of color or brightness, a hallmark of the OLED technology. Finally, you decide to relax and open a streaming app. The HDR content looks incredible, each pixel seemingly calibrated for perfection. The stereo speakers surround you with rich, deep sound, despite their small size. Every explosion and whisper in the show you’re watching comes to life. You hold the phone a little tighter, still amazed at how far technology has come. The iPhone 13 Pro Max doesn’t just feel like a tool anymore—it feels like an extension of you.... Show more

While the standard iPhone 13 (starting at $799) seems to be the best choice for most people, with a terrific balance of size, power, battery life, and price, the iPhone 13 Pro Max is a terrific alternative for heavy users and artists, with its killer cameras and beautiful buttress of a battery. The iPhone 13 Pro Max is, well, max. At 6.3 by 3.1 by 0.3 inches and 8.5 ounces, it's a large, heavy phone that you won't want to use in one hand. That's the price you pay (along with your $1,100) for this kind of battery life. But you're probably used to it already, as it's almost exactly the same size as the 12 Pro Max. It's a little heavier than last year's model, though, which weighed 8.0 ounces. It’s roomy, narrow-bezel screen gets a little bit more real estate from a slightly smaller notch than on the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Apple has said in numerous articles- the notch is 20% smaller than before. On the back, the Pro Max's triple-camera system juts out noticeably. I'd smooth it out with a case, although you don't necessarily need one for protection—the phone carries IP68 waterproofing and has Apple's tough "ceramic shield" screen coating. (with a phone this nice I still like to always get a screen protector, they have awesome designs and custom ones for cases sold on castify.com I even found cute little sparkle individual camera lens covers to put on for extra protection (and it's a cute touch! They have tons of colors on Amazon that will work with any Apple 11 up! The 13 Pro Max comes in four colors, including blue, gold, graphite (gray), and silver. The blue is very cool and elegant, as you can see below. CONS- BIG HEAVY Like other phones its size, this is more of a bag phone than a pocket phone. It fits in my coat and jacket pockets, but it'll stick out of most pants pockets but I've noticed over the years so did just about every iPhone from the 6 and up! OVERALL I RECOMMENDED THIS 100% I am an Mac/Apple user is all things from phones, watches, laptops, TVs. You name it if it has an apple on it, it’s definitely in our household!... Show more

Fit and finish of the iPhone 13 Pro Max has to be the best on the market as of March 2022. It's not light, and it just feels perfect in my hand. I like the flat edges of this phone, and honestly it just looks really nice compared to some of the iPhones of yore and was enough to convince me to dump my usual choice of going with a Galaxy in favor of something different than the usual. Plus Sierra Blue is really pretty and it reminds me of the Zephyr Blue Metallic paint on the 03-05 Toyota Celica. Kinda wish it came in Midnight Green, that color was so cool. Everything about this phone feels function forward on the outside. Everything about this phone feels function forward on the outside. The A15 is a really snappy mobile processor, for everything that I do it doesn't even seem to stress the thing, much less clog the ram up be it 6gb or 8gb depending on what source you ask. For most of us, myself included, it'll take age to slow down this iPhone. The display is nice, 120hz so playing a few mobile games look great on this as well as watching a youtube video or two. Also the battery life on this phone is insane, I am on day two of not having it on the charger and it's hit around 36% and I use this phone for some critical functions of my job (calls, task management, ect) so there has been a consistent load on it outside of when I sleep. AirPlay is awesome by the way, hands down one of my favorite features is being able to quickly and seamlessly slip between my car's stereo and a pair of head phones. Also the speaker quality is pretty dang nice too! The camera might be the next best thing next to the design for the 13 Pro Max. Low light looks pretty good when I take pictures or use it for videos. There are neat short cuts like tap back which I use to turn on the flashlight on the phone, it's not the brightest thing but it does a good enough job. The screen responds nicely and taking videos of my dogs running in slow mo has never been so entertaining, plus the camera taking a mix of photo and video has earned some giggles too. What I hated : So the first thing I am going to get out of the way is that I came from a Galaxy S10+, everyone that I have talked about iOS to has claimed that it is either a different beast altogether (Not really) and that it is more functional than Android by far (I wouldn't agree or disagree with this). Organization is NOT something I would say iOS does well, with Android you have the App drawer, with iOS I have made different folders and prayed that my goldfish like memory wouldn't end with me trying to find one of the many apps I use. Stacks/Widgets aren't bad, but I feel like Android does this better as well. This isn't exactly something I would call bad, but it was enough for me to second guess this phone after a couple of days because my organization of all the apps I use was driving me nuts. For a company that focuses on the idea of things "Just working" I think Apple needs to take a look outside and make some minor tweaks to perfect iOS. I also kind of miss my custom roms for Android as well but anyone with two functioning brain cells knows why Apple doesn't allow that sort of thing. Also 3rd party apps don't always work even if you approve them and for crying out loud allow us to emulate or VM older versions of iOS for older apps that can be found on the App Store! I was looking forward to trying Doom II RPG on this phone but iOS 15 isn't compatible and I am too lazy to find a work around at this time. I really like the way this phone feels in my hand though, and if I had to buy another phone again (please no) I'd stick with the 13 Pro Max cause I like it THAT much.Less... Show more

Don’t Buy!!
22 May 2024
This phone description stated it was unlocked or it was compatible with straight talk so we bought this for our 16 year old daughter for Christmas. We have YET been able to get it on the straight talk plan we’ve been on for a few years despite calling numerous times and talking to customer service who THEN says “corporate” will have to call us back. “Corporate” still hasn’t called and she still has to use her old phone. It’s ridiculous and her big Christmas gift turned out to be NOTHING after 6 or 7 hundred dollars. Not worrying with trying to return it because the time we spent back and forth with straight talk used up the warranty time. I thought, “surely we will be able to get this done!” and kept trying. I already know how Walmart will screw you over with the ... MoreThis phone description stated it was unlocked or it was compatible with straight talk so we bought this for our 16 year old daughter for Christmas. I already know how Walmart will screw you over with the whole 90 day warranty mess and I’m not fighting with them to be lied to like I was about a computer I bought a few years ago and it was falsely advertising specifications and we didn’t realize it then started calling Walmart to be told different things when I would call or go up there. I just know I will NEVER EVER EVER purchase electronics through Walmart ever again. Come to find out, this happens A LOT more than people realize.... Show more
