worried about getting in an accident. If you are an old iPhone user, this is a great upgrade. The face id is nice but some of the latest Android phones use face id and drop you
into your home screen, not the iPhone it unlocks it and you have to swipe up. This does not bug me but if that is important keep it in mind. I like to close my back ... Show more

This does not bug me but if that is important keep it in mind. I like to close my back ground tasks which Android has a close all, but iPhone doesn't. The App store does not really compare the iPhone takes down Android and everyone else. Like Android, iPhone tries to keep you in the garden which is fine, but Apple is flexible enough to allow all your android services to move over to your iPhone which is nice. The hardware is on par with some of the top Android phones in some areas, but Apple is superior in photo and smoothness. The top Android phones do have the smoothness and quality photos but do not have the extra features for picture processing. You won't suffer having either, but the iPhone pricing is on par with the top Android phones and why not go with some superior hardware? Some feel they get better support with Apple; this comes at a cost, but I understand it. Apple like Google makes sure that you will likely run out of space and will offer to only charge you a nominal amount each month to increase your storage. I call this a toss up, because both companies do this practice. As far as moving from Apple to Apple or even Android to Apple, it was very simple as long as you know your passwords going into the process. I hope this helps some of you decide, the larger screen of the plus is wonderful for my older eyes, but my son prefers is regular iPhone.... Show more

I really like this phone and the camera. It is a little difficult to get used to not having a home button, but I love the facial recognition feature. It makes passwords so much easier and it works in just about any condition as far as lighting. The battery life is excellent. I upgraded from a 7plus and it hasn't been that difficult to transition to this version. Apple has made transferring to a new phone so much easier than the old days when I dreaded getting a new phone or computer. Of course the cloud helps.... Show more

iPhone 14 Plus.

Now, before reading this I have not used this iPhone, so take me with a grain of salt. But, the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus are not big upgrades. The baseline 14’s have the A15 bionic chip from the 13 Pros last year, so there is a slight upgrade in performance. However the 14 Pros have the A16 chip which is around 18% faster then the A15. However I think the 14 Plus will be a big hit this year, you get a huge screen under $900. But, the 14 Pro and Pro Max are much better with new features, and the normal person probably probably doesn’t care. So, if your thinking about buying the 14 or 14 Plus, go ahead and get the 14 Pro, you’ll be much happier with your money, but if you can’t, these phones will be great and all. It’s just you get more value with your money. So yeah ... MoreNow, before reading this I have not used this iPhone, so take me with a grain of salt. iPhone 14 Plus Excellent Upper Mid-Range Value
25 February 2023
My wife and I both had Apple 8 Plus phones. We really liked our 8 Pluses as they were solid, reliable, and always worked well - with the exception of the fingerprint reader, which didn’t always perform. I frequently had to enter my passcode. We replaced the 8 Pluses with 14 Pluses and love our 14 Pluses. The Face ID on the 14 Plus is MUCH better than the fingerprint ID on the 8 Plus. The 14 Plus is a solid upgrade. We are completely satisfied with the 14 Plus in every respect. It is fast and easy to use and the display is sharp and crisp. The only complaint that I have is that I use the alarm for morning wake-up and sometimes have to fumble around on the screen to turn off the alarm. In that respect, I miss the home button. I upgraded from an iPhone 12mini in which I loved the size but could no longer see very well without reading glasses even with its enlarged text) so I could have much better enlarged text and for the crash technology. I ride horseback alone alot so I was hoping this would be good in case of a bad fall but it states can NOT detect all crashes so disappointing in that respect. It also seems to have some of the same quirks that the old phone has. I do like the battery life. Haven't had long enough to use other features. At least I seemed to get a good a good trade in value without having to change to a more expensive plan so thank you Verizon (I am a long time customer)... Show more

Delighted with my IPhone 14Plus. The new safety features pair with my Apple Watch and allow me the emergency features of my previous medical alert button with fall detection and my pocket EKG machine without all that extra expense, bulk and taking up more room in my purse. Crash alert is another plus that helps me stay more secure on the go. Need I even mention the great pics, superb sound of my favorite music and ease of calling, email, internet and so much more. Love the red color, the magnetic charging and the nice sized screen. I loved my IPhone 11, but the trade in made it a simple, affordable upgrade that suits me well. Love this phone!!
14 December 2022
I love it! I was a little leary of getting a new phone do to having learn all the things that I took for granted on my iPhone 6 plus. I have been pleasantly surprised. Learning this phone has been so simple. Things have run so smoothly and as much as I hated giving up my iPone 6 plus, I am glad this is the phone I chose to replace it. One many of the things I have found to be easier is not having a home button. It actually gives you more freedom by not having to push the home button to do things. The only downside I have found is a couple of apps I use are not available for the 14 plus. They will be but not yet. I rate this phone a 10 because in my opinion, it has earned it.... Show more

Watch out for the Learning Curve.I like several things, some I haven't tried yet. The one frustration I have is finding the "spot" to slide up and delete open apps. I have found that a gentle slide from lower left brings them out...but not always on the first try. I have had trouble with one of my apps - getting the password, etc. corrected. and I was recvg. warnings on calls I dialed about my "last line". I think it finally went away...Verizon couldn't resolve it for me. But I do like Verizon overall and think the phone will settle in and be user friendly (emphasis on Friendly.)... Show more
