MagSafe is a unique feature of this iPhone but it is something I don’t use often. Apart from this unique feature, there are other features that are refined and worth the price. I purchased the Seirra blue because I liked the colour and it is unique. We cannot expect this colour in near future. 512gb storage is good if you don’t use iCloud or other cloud services like me. There is 1Tb storage version as well

I need something that is reliable and this phone is not reliable.I would avoid this phone. It is definitely a reliability downgrade from my previous phone which was more than 4 years old.I am not a fan of paying premium pricing for unreliable devices.

Normal view. Zoom in view. Zoom out view and nowhere in between. I miss the Samsung keyboard. On the iPhone you have to constantly switch back and forth from the letters to the number/punctuation keyboards. A hassle. On Samsung numbers and letters were all on the same keyboard. Another drawback is you can’t watch YouTube in the backround like on a Samsung without paying extra. I’m thinking of switching back to an Android phone. This iPhone is good overall, the battery is great, but it could easily have been better.

Full of glitches, camera AI ruins photos
7 May 2022

Upgraded from the iPhone 11 a few months ago and the experience has been awful. I take and edit a a lot of photos and video and there are a few amazing photos I’ve taken with this 13 ProMax but overall most of the photo and video is almost unusable. They’re oversaturated, out of focus and the “auto”edit never gets it right compared to Google photos. Google “iPhone 13 ProMax Camera Oversaturated” and you’ll see it’s a huge and growing issue as people spend more time on this phone. Besides that it’s been riddled with glitches- constantly disconnecting from wifi, using cellular data when it should be using wifi, password manager doesn’t work (will often auto fill password box with randomly generated password when you need it to input the actual password) iphoto, iphoto ... MoreUpgraded from the iPhone 11 a few months ago and the experience has been awful. They have given way to much rendering over to AI and it just gets it wrong most of the time. There’s way to much red in the blacks, blurry photos, and just this gross, unusable oversaturated look. Practically unusable in low light conditions and when it does work the photos often have a cartoon or comic book look to them. I was way happier with my iPhone 11 on TMobile I curse the day I switched to Verizon so I could get this phone

Good replacement Phone
24 January 2023

I needed to update my iPhone 6s which was faulty. After much research and visiting the store, this model met my requirements. It is pricey, but overall a fairly good replacement. I don't like that you cannot charge the phone and have the earbuds / earphones plugged in at the same time as the charging port is also the headphone port. Had to buy another set of compatible headphones/ earbuds as I don't use Bluetooth wireless headphones. Why did Apple change this fundamental feature, that is my only disappointment with the phone, but this is what their phones have featured for a few years now. I had avoided purchasing a new phone as I didn't need one and didn't want to have to spend more on accommodating a missing feature, but as my old and trusty phone was faulty I had ... MoreI needed to update my iPhone 6s which was faulty. Good service from my local John Lewis in Solihull and excellent helpline assistance from Apple helpline to help me set up and transfer from my old phone to this new one.

Great Switch from Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ to iPhone 13 Pro Max
8 August 2022

Decided to switch to iPhone from my Note 10+ due to the extra security that iOS offers over Android (such as not allowing non-App store apps and each app needing to get permission to do pretty much anything on your device). Plus, Apple has remedied a lot of the reasons that I switched from iPhone to Android more than 10 years ago (home screen folders, file browser, and home screen widgets to name a few). Not that these features are new to iOS by any means, but were originally items I left iOS for.I do kind of miss the ability to install apps outside of the App store (like you can do with APK files on Andorid). However, that's one of the things that makes iOS a bit more secure than Android. However, that's one of the things that makes iOS a bit more secure than Android. At this point in time, especially with all the scammers out there), I'm willing to trade some flexibility for more security.Apple tends to make things a little more complicated than they need to be sometimes, often making the learning curve even higher. However, after ~6 months of using the device I've become pretty fluent in its use and only have to look up "how-to's" every so often. To be clear, it didn't take the full 6 months, but I've had the phone ~6 months at the time of writing this review.I love the design and color of the phone (I got Sierra Blue and my wife got Gold). It feels like a premium phone holding it in your hand. It's heavy, but too heavy, at least for me, anyway. My two biggest concerns going into the switch was 1) the lack of a fingerprint sensor (loved my fingerprint sensor on my Galaxy Note 10+) and 2) not having a home button. However, I don't really miss either of those features. Face ID has turned out to be even easier than having a fingerprint sensor -- now I don't miss it at all. While I still find myself looking for a "home button" from time to time, it's not really a big deal.Overall, I'm happy with my switch and wouldn't change anything. The 13 Pro Max is a Powerhouse that should serve my needs for years to come.

Real review not paid. Love my new 13 Pro max
26 July 2022

I’ve seen comments about poor battery life. That’s opposite of what I’ve experienced. Longest charge life of any phone I’ve ever had. Graphics are awesome. I got the 1TB size. I still have another “regular size” Android. When you lay the android on top of this one the size difference looks minimal but I will say in your hands this 13 pro max does feel a bit oversized. I usually end up connected fine with 5G. I have used this as a hotspot at times and I will say the speed of that is a but disappointing. Download speeds for adding new apps and just downloads in general are lightning fast. Shockingly fast sometimes. I have zero complaints at all though. The few annoying things are just that small annoyance. Overall money well spent

Started with the 13 mini in April & idk why I did that thing is small af but I got the regular 13 like 2 wks ago and regretted it because the 13 pro max is what I actually wanted. I went back & got the pro max. All these phones are the same with battery in my opinion even androids! I play Apple Music all night as well as having an app that uses my location for a family locator app. It barely drains my battery. When I’m running facebook or some of my large games it drains my battery quicker but still not sure how long people thing the batter should last playing things like roblox, FarmVille, candy crush or similar. These aren’t desktop computers lol. Only thing I’m finding I don’t like is the shiny slippery edges of the phone. So overrated
24 March 2022

As of today I'm writing after 24 hours of constant issues with this phone. I really wanted to love this phone but for the price I just couldn't justify what I was getting. To be honest I might be a bit biased since I've had Samsung phones since the first slide galaxy. I had ( and still have the s20 plus) this was probably the worst galaxy I've had. I was ready for a change and thought the the squeeze might be worth the juice getting this fancy shiny state of the art army green device. I was very wrong. I had several dropped calls, 3 call failures, I could barely hear anyone at max volume on calls, HD calling did not work, the back button wasn't available on several apps so I had to keep restarting my progress, the new camera with macro control is garbage. My s20 plus picks up every detail even if it's a taxi with their logo on the side in the background. From what I hear Apple does this because they value portrait and focus on the specific subject. No hate on that, it's a completely different set of lenses and preferences. I'm guessing if you're shooting movies or interviews I phone does it best since the aperture is built that way. I work in an environment where I have to conduct regulatory audits and document with uploads. I definitely have to give the nod to Samsung as far as full scope pictures. The I phone Is almost like looking into a tunnel.I really wanted the pro max 13 to be my new everything, but at the end of the day, if I'm paying this much for a phone I shouldn't have to spend hours upon hours looking for tips and hacks on how to improve everything.

Switched from Pixel to iPhone - No Regrets!
20 August 2022

3 weeks ago I switched from an Android to an iPhone and I couldn't be happier. I've had Android phones for about the last 10 years and I was due for an upgrade. The new Pixel 6 looks and feels exactly like the 3 that I had, which was boring. The Samsung S22 Ultra looked really nice, but it was too long for me, and it seemed a little slow. The iPhone 13 stood out as the best phone on the market right now. Here are some pros / cons that I've noticed in the last few weeks.Pros:- I could transfer data from my Android to the iPhone despite the horror stories I've read. Text messages, pictures, etc all transferred without issue through the Move to iOS app.- The camera is awesome. Way better than my old Android phone.- Battery life is unbelievable. I can easily go 2-3 days between charges.- Apple Car Play seems nice than Android Auto.- The App store seems to have a wider range of games and apps to use.- All of the Google apps (mail, photos, calendar, etc) work flawlessly.Cons:- Using saved passwords are a pain in the butt. I had to reset my password on most apps so that I could get new passwords loaded into the iPhone keychain app. Now that I have them saved it's no issue, but I think the Android phones are better integrated with saved passwords in Google (not surprisingly).- Navigating the iPhone is very different than Android. It's not a bad thing, but it does take getting used to. Examples include closing open apps, going back through web pages, and going from a comments section to a post.- Apps cannot be placed anywhere on the phone screen like an Android. You have to fill up the entire page before going to the next page. Once the page is full then you can order them however you want, but you can't have open space on a page.
