Stumbled out of the gate, but may ultimately be great.I got this phone on release day and was immediately hit with the (now fixed) copy data bugs. It took mutiple resets and attempts before the phone was working. At this writing, the heating and poor battery life are big unresolved issues but Apple has announced it plans to fix. We'll see. So far, this phone has the worst battery life of my last 5 iPhones. The phones gets very warm when charging. On the plus side, the Titanium case looks and feels great, the weight is much improved, and USB-C charging is a big boost. Note, the USB-C charging is very picky and does not work with all USB-C cables I have tried.Cameras are very good, but Apple really needs much better camera controls to compare to its Android ... HDR sceens can take on an overprocessed and oversharpened look which is off-putting. Cameras on the last 3 iphone generations were great, so hard to claim this one is a huge leap. Night photos do see much better. The screen is great, speakers are great, and the phone is certainly fast. The new action button is nice but again Apple could have done a lot more with it.Once Apple works out all the software issues, this will be a 4 star phone. Compared to $1000 competition, I'm still not convinced this is a 5 star offering from Apple.

One interesting and amazing features that now because of the iPhone 15 Pro USB-C change, you can connect it directly to a small hard drive where your photos and videos can get sent directly. And from the drive, you can plug into your Mac and access to edit directly.Another huge improvement is the processor is approaching Mac level of processing power. This might be most notable if you game on your phone.I do think the action button on the side is a good improvement and I love that you can assign it to different tasks or apps.As far as the heat that some reviews have noted, I have only experienced a couple of instances where it got a little warm for brief periods, but then resolved quickly. Not sure what to make of that yet.If you’re thinking of upgrading, and you have an older iPhone like I did, I definitely think this is worth the upgrade

The new photonic engine with its prime focus on 24mm, 28mm, and 35mm lenses while upgrading the “standard” photo size to 24 MP, along with automatic Portrait Mode depth capture even on regular photos (when it detects a person—or animal! in the frame) makes snapping a really high quality picture by just “pointing and shooting” a real thing. Of course you can set all the settings manually if you need to, say for a staged shot or a formal portrait, but 99% of the pics you take are spontaneous, and camera that fixes shots for you on the fly while ... Now it’s a “phone” that’s always in your pocket. If good photos matter to you then this purchase is a true no brainer. Pick your color and get the 1TB size, because it does the same magic with videos, and once you realize what you can do you’ll be taking lots of those too; and they can take up a LOT of space. Enjoy!
Just like the title says:Phone is great, love the addition of USB-C which brings it into the 21st century, good battery life (better than 13 and 14 were), and quite nifty lightness... surprisingly welcomed... Great screen as well in bright environments. Best upgrade in last 3 iPhone iterations.Best Buy ROCKS, they had it in stock on release day!!! This year was better than the 12, but just as buggy and horrible as the 14. Lost all my contacts, all apps were reset, had to restore from a backup on my laptop instead of from phone to phone.I am uncertain why it is so ... Lost all my contacts, all apps were reset, had to restore from a backup on my laptop instead of from phone to phone.I am uncertain why it is so difficult to transfer all existing data from phone to phone, but perhaps now that the connector is in the 21st century, and there is availability of a high speed USB-C transfer, maybe next year it will be a 10-15 minute process instead of a 10-20 hour horrible frustrating experience with bugs all throughout the process, and blaming VZW, and vice versa...Best Buy was great through the whole thing, and they did all they could to help. I won't buy gear anyplace else anymore after all the great experiences I have had with Tyler and the crew.
Let's be honest, we keep buying the same phone over and over again. Apple stopped innovating a long time ago. This is no exception. It looks and feels the same, outside of the lenses on the back, but USB C is a welcome improvement. If you travel with a MacBook or iPad, it's nice ot have one cable that works with everything - including wired headphones (my AirPods are always dead). Beyond that, the alert button is terrible. I had to disable it b/c it's too easy to toggle and I missed several important calls (sliding in/out of a pocket for example). Dynamic island is nice. It improves the user experience, but again, not necessary. If you have an older phone (mine was a 12 Pro) MagSafe is a disappointment. It's weak and doesn't really live up to the expectation. All in all, it's okay. I upgraded b/c my old phone was cracked. Outside of that, I don't think it's necessary. As with every upgrade, you'll notice a slight improvement in load time and performance. I miss the Apple of the past. It's really boring these days.
Moved from an old Galaxy S9 to see if I’d like it. Will definitely be going back to Android after I get out of this contract. Everything is just worse from clunky animations, to inability to change any settings, to glitches and hangs. Workflows for my most common tasks (like getting directions, playing music, and sending an email) are all unnecessarily slow and complicated. Apple built-in apps are universally worse than their google counterparts with often no option to change the default app (hello maps, itunes, and wallet). Autocomplete and password management is a mess. Volume controls are seriously lacking. I had to falsify my earbuds as a car stereo to get the OS to play them at a reasonable volume. Screen is ok, not great. Spell check and autocorrect are so bad ... MoreMoved from an old Galaxy S9 to see if I’d like it. Will definitely be going back to Android after I get out of this contract. I was hoping to be blown away by the camera but it’s just ok. Action button is really limited right now. Hopefully more apps take advantage in the future, but right now there’s nothing useful for me that I can have it do. Overall I’d rate it somewhere between “meh” and “frustrating”.
This is my upgrade from iPhone 11, so a lot has happened in the interim between models.I really like the design of this phone. I was a fan of this design on the iPhone 4 so glad they revived it. Apple have made a lot of noise about the Titanium used in the manufacture of the 15 Pro, which looks great (I have the Titanium Blue) so it is a bit annoying to have to buy a case and cover up the phone. I got the clear MagSafe version but it still covers the design.Surely Apple can build a phone that does not need a cover or case and we can admire the design and tactility of it.The camera on this phone is fantastic, the best on any iPhone I reckon the zoom is amazing and crystal clear, you can get much more creative with it than a few selfies, should you wish. The 5G ... I've owned several iPhones, including the original. Although I love the color of the deep purple iPhone 14 pro, it seemed glitchy and did not have the time to take to Apple to find out if it was a "lemon," so I traded it in. I like the aesthetics and feel of the slightly curved glass and frame edges of the 15 pro. It's feels more compact and modern, and reminds me of the iPhone 4 and X-- my favorites in form and function thus far. I just wish it came in deep purple.Con: Like the 14 pro, even with the phone locked, it opens up apps and gets warm while in my pocket. It does not get hot, but enough to notice. No; however, the 15 pro feels like a more solid (even if lighter), modern device. Aside from the app opening, it functions well/less glitchy. People have already asked "is that the new iPhone" and want to hold it. I just wish it was available in deep purple.
The iPhone 15 Pro, which I recently purchased from John Lewis, has truly impressed me. Its speed when accessing applications is nothing short of remarkable.
