This is my first phone ever since I start using phone. It was a gift from my brother for my birthday. We brought it on September when it just released, I used it until last month 08/2023. I think it about 5 years. Nothing wrong with it, I just have a 13 so I decided to switch. It still in perfect condition and it was my favorite design of all apple phone, specially the gold one. It so funny that I was water damaged it in 2019 and it had a dead spot on the screen, I was so sad and tried every trick I found on the social media but nothing work. I don’t have any money to fix it so I just use it with the problem. Surprisedly that it was back to normal like nothings was happened. It heal by itself :))) yeahhhh I was so confused. I love my iPhone XS Max. I originally thought it might be too big, since I’ve always bought the regular iPhones which often are on the smaller side. But I wanted a phone with a big screen because I recently got into gaming, so this phone works perfect for that need. I got my iPhone with the largest storage, so memory is great. Pic quality is decent. Battery life is okay for now until apple decides when to put this version on the chopping block. I recommend getting it in the gold color. It’s stunning and different from whatever else apple released throughout the years.

I bought this phone when it first came out. Needless to say, for something that costs a freaking THOUSAND dollars damn near, you’d think I’d have it decked out in the best damage proof/waterproof/idiot proof/toddler drool and screen abuse, butttttt I don’t. I’ve had cases (4 now over the past however many years it’s been out now) all of which cost less than $20, and a glass screen protector on top. I’m clumsy AF, seriously y’all, I trip over air, walk into corners of tables/counters hourly, you name it. My phone has decided once it wanted to end its life, but luckily for my ninja like reflexes, I saved it from drowning to death at the last minute in the toilet. I really liked the look of the phone but the fact that the back of the phone is actually glass was super frustrating. If you don’t get a good case it breaks really easily! I thought my case was strong enough but apparently it was NOT! Then changing out cases I got glass chips in my finger. The camera was decent. Definitely can’t take pictures of things at night (like the moon, etc) but idk if that’s possible with the new iPhone 13 pro either. I just upgraded to that one. These phones are just so expensive and I do pay for insurance but the fact that you can’t get the back replaced when it breaks so easily is rather irritating bc then you have to pay the full deductible for just a back screen. The camera quality is AMAZING. If you like to take photos or travel then i think this phone will be great choice because of the quality of the phone and it being water resistant. I think this phone is amazing, I’ve had it for almost 2 years now as I just love it. My only con is the size of the phone can be a bit tricky to get used to because it is bigger screen. I’ve had apple phones for years but used other brands for tablets and I do find apple just far superior from speed to app availability. The camera quality is fantastic even years later it’s still brilliant and I have no problems with it. 64gb storage is perfect for my photos and I have probably about 40 apps. Over all as I said even to todays standards this is a fantastic phone. So get it

Best iPhone Yet, with some screen scratch issues

I have owned the 3GS, 4S, 5S, 6S Plus...and now the XS Max.The 6S Plus was such a great phone (I still use it when I work in Africa) that I skipped over the 7 & 8 Models.The XS Max is such a leap above the 6S Plus...and you don't really realize it until you go back to using the 6S Plus. As good as the 6S Plus is, you can't compare it to the XS Max. On all my iPhones over the years, I never used a screen protector. I have never needed to. My 6S Plus, which has been in service for about 5 - 6 years now with heavy usage in the jungles of West Africa, doesn't have a single nick or scratch on it. Hundreds of miles of being in my pants pocket thousands of hours of usage and nothing.My XS Max had dozens of very fine "scratches" all over the surface of the screen in a matter of days and significantly larger "gouges" that I can feel with my fingers within a month...with only being used in my office and home around the holidays when I bought it.You can't normally see the fine scratches and gouges during normal use, unless you catch the reflection off the screen just right when you have a dark background or a lot of ambient light.Research on the internet seems to point towards a newer screen coating that is actually scratching and not the normally very tough screen material, but a lot of other XS Max owners seem to be having similar issues.With the new model iPhones probably coming out in just a matter of weeks (Sept 2019), I would recommend holding off on an iPhone purchase until the next model is ready. I would still buy the XS Max, if I had to do it again, but for the first time would probably consider a screen protector. That is the only fault I can find with this excellent piece of technology. One mark reduction on Quality due to this screen issue.

Best iPhone experience yet!

But the quality and usability of the iPhone XS Max is by far the best Apple device to date. The battery life is incredible and depending on how you use your device it can easily stretch to 1.5-2 days between charges, no need to top up throughout the day like on previous models. Signal quality has been excellent (WiFi and LTE) and speeds between opening up apps, streaming video, or browsing a web page makes this device feel like a pocketable iPad Pro. If you are on the fence about the size, be comforted in knowing that if you have ever had any of the Plus model iPhones (6+ 6s+ 7+ or 8+) it has the same body size, but all screen and close to zero bezels. I am 6’4” with large hands so I can understand if this isn’t too manageable but most phones nowadays are becoming less and less applicable for the 1-handed user. So if you like big colorful vibrant displays, do yourself a favor and opt for the Max.. Yes plenty of people scoff at the $1100 price tag but phones are the one device we use EVERYDAY. (Even over computers or cars) I tend to upgrade every year, but this might be a device a keep through one extra Apple iPhone cycle because it hits every mark. Fast, great battery, excellent camera, memory, amazing display, iOS 12, awesome selection of accessories to pair it with; Apple Watch, AirPods, wireless charger etc. Overall, give this device a chance and I promise you after a day or so you won’t go back!!!

Excellent Condition Is Not Truly Excellent

This is my third cell-phone that I have purchased from Gazelle, and I hate to say it, but this may be the last cell-phone I purchase from Gazelle. Since my second cell-phone order, every time I order my iPhone in “Excellent” condition, it arrives in person and it is the exact opposite of excellent. Knicks and scratches are usually all around the phone, which isn’t supposed to be there on an excellent condition phone. This is even more baffling because I read reviews of certain Gazelle customers purchasing fair condition cell-phones and receiving them in near-perfect condition. I don’t know if it’s a joke or not, but maybe give people what they pay for Gazelle. I shouldn’t have to take a risk with my hard-earned money like this. Great working phone

this phone was a great buy for me. I saw some of the reviews, and decided to go ahead and see for myself what I’d get. I’ve had this phone for a year now, and I was fully satisfied with it until I upgraded to iOS 16. I believe there are some hardware issues, because now I cannot fully use the vertical middle of my screen. It’s very strange, but I do not think it has anything to do with the seller since my phone was working perfectly for almost an entire year. I would definitely buy another phone from the seller and I probably will. I had no cracks or scratches on my phone when I received it, just some lint in the speakers which was easy to clean.

So I decided to give it a shot since I do like the iOS platform. There's a lot to be said for it. So setting aside my hefty skepticism I ordered the refurbished Xs Max. I was extremely pleased to see the phone was shipped to me in pristine condition. The display and the rest of the phone was scratch free. And trust me I checked closely. Set up was a breeze for me since I still had my old Apple ID. Everything took about an hour, including updates. I noticed the seller replaced the battery with a new one not approved by Apple.
