Almost an iPhone

ntially an iPhone SE without the phone. Since people don't actually speak to one another these days and stick to texting, that almost doesn't matter. You also are limited to Wifi with no cellular, and that might be a deal breaker for some people. In a pinch, you could use your phone as a wifi hot spot and the iPod would work fine. For me, it's a perfect seamless companion to my iPhone. It even has a real 1/8 headphone jack, a convenience that I have missed greatly on the newer generation of iPhones.

Purchased for grandson. He does not have a cell phone, so this was an amazing alternative. Ability to set security limits and no monthly cost was important. Great alternative to teach responsibility. He loves it, is able to FaceTime, take pics, play games and listen to music while traveling. When he called me and said this was the best gift ever, it made my day. He maintained communication with us while on his month long vacation cruise. Everyone should get something like this before jumping to a cell phone. Thank you

Best Store to buy apple products

I had ordered one from apple themselves but, because of this pandemic my order date had gotten pushed back to a later date than expected. So when I found out I decided to order an iPod 7 on Amazon and before I was getting ready to order it. I wasn’t too sure I could trust Amazon with buying an apple product from them. So I took the risk and I ordered one anyways and it’s the best thing I’ve could’ve have possibly done. It came the next day. And there were no cracks and it work perfectly fine. And the other iPod that I order from apple came the next week after I order one from Amazon. So now I have 2 iPods 🤣. But, I honestly recommend buying an iPod from Amazon. One, because there’s a cheaper option. And this iPod work extremely well.

Comedic price tag in the year of our lord 2023.

Albeit the fact this seems to be the only place offering "new" last gen Ipods, (even though a brief look in the reviews, will show you that they are also apparently selling used and broken ones as well) it still doesnt excuse that absurd price. This is 2023, only weirdos like myself still even use ipods, and you're seriously charging more than a ps5? In 2023? For something most people just use an app for now? With that being said, since I started looking for a new one because my current 6th gen model suddenly has a battery that competes with my average ability to last in bed, the price has dropped by 60$ in the month or two I've been checking this, which is good, but still nowhere near enough.Anything more than...... 100$ is insane in my eyes for a product that is ... MoreAlbeit the fact this seems to be the only place offering "new" last gen Ipods, (even though a brief look in the reviews, will show you that they are also apparently selling used and broken ones as well) it still doesnt excuse that absurd price. Happy with seller, UNHAPPY with Apple App.
27 July 2022

I am very happy with the seller of the product, ElectroCell. They delivered my order by FedEx within two days. Even though this item is discontinued by Apple, it was brand new, package was original, unopened and intact. However, what is very upsetting, is what Apple does. The 7th Gen ipod is advertised as having 32Gb of memory, which should have been plenty for what I needed. But, what they don't tell you is that 17Gb of that space is taken by preloaded apps. Even after you go through and delete what you can, you still don't get a full 32 Gb worth of space. Secondly, and probably the worst part is what Apple has done with their iTunes updates. I' never had a problem before with previous versions of ipods, but this time it's different. I set my music up the way "I" want it, painstakingly taking the time to get all the information and artwork for each song. After all this work and corrections, I'll go open iTunes several days later and find that alot of information has changed, years, genres, etc... Also, when I tried to listen to certain audio recordings after syncing the ipod, I find certain songs haven't been loaded and it displays the following message: "This song is currently not available in your country or region." YOU"VE GOT TO BE KIDDING! Seriously?! I have several different genres of audio recordings and have never had an issue like this with any previous ipod version. If the recording is in my iTunes library (which it is), it shold be on my ipod. What the heck does Apple think they're doing?! Keep your hands out of my music!

I highly recommend the 128GB iPod Touch
9 January 2021

I gave this to my wife as a present for Christmas and she loves it. I was updating her from an older iPod Touch that couldn't do every thing she wanted ( It wouldn't update its operating system--so some apps and websites stopped working on it and many videos wouldn't play). Plus, the old one would only last 5-10 minutes before the battery would die. The big improvement this new iPod has is that it can update its operating system (but not forever!) and it has more memory. While I believe rechargeable batteries should last more than four years, and mobile devices should be able to expand their memory, you end up being locked into an ecosystem. I still have an iPod Classic, and all my friends and relatives have iPhones. I was tempted to just break down and get an iPhone, but she loves the phone she has.I also got a present out of this, in a way--I received a fitbit for Christmas and it couldn't connect to my computer (Windows 7--I have since updated this with a dual-boot to Windows 10), my phone (one with no memory for apps), my tablet (old android operating system that cannot be updated), and my wife's old iPod Touch (again, too old of an operating system). So this made my fitbit a useful tool (until I updated to Windows 10) instead of a useless piece of plastic on my wrist. One last thing about battery life--My tablet and iPod classic are 6 and 10 years old respectively, and while there is some degradation in battery life, both can be used for for over ten hours before they need recharging.I recommend this iPod as a cheaper alternative to the iPhone. I cannot speak to its battery life because I have not monitored my wife's charging regimen. I believe she will get many years use and joy from this. And since she now has 128 GB of memory, I can put our entire music library on it and have plenty of room for apps.

Love it
22 December 2021

Just got this yesterday.I had two 5th gen iPod touch between 2014 and 2021. The first was replaced when I dropped it without a case in 2016. I continued to use the second one until it didn’t charge anymore in october 2021.I used the iPod everyday mainly for music and was lost without it. When I got this gen7 touch in December, it was so much faster than my 5th in every way. I was shocked. If you use a music player daily like I do, this is the only one you should get, best value out there when measuring functionality, connectivity to your other Apple devices, and generally for peace of mind knowing that you can depend on it. No other MP3 can measure up
1 December 2022

I was hoping to find an MP3 player with the same ease of use as my old ipod which has lasted me over 10 years. (It still works but the battery only lasts about 3-4 hours ) which is still pretty good. However, I just could not figure out the new guy. And there were no how to videos on YouTube, only videos discussing the features. It was only $50 and I liked a lot things about it, but just couldn't figure it out. So I broke down to shell the $300 for this bad boy and could not be happier. If you are shy with technology, then this is awesome. Afterall, if it lasts another 10 years, that's only $30 a year. I can live with that. I do have one caveat. If you are trying to merge this with your old macbook, it may not work. It did not recognize my 2011 macbook. (which I did not know that you could now do that. So awesome) Because most of my recordings are self made or burned from CDs,I did have to transfer my iTunes library to the PC via a usb stick. So there was a little bit of a learning curve on getting the iPod set up...but I could not be happier with the investment. I understand Apple getting rid of the product but I hope they reconsider. Maybe by the next 10 years, someone else will have figured out how to make a user friendly MP3

OK but these have gone downhill for music lovers
29 January 2023

I've had itunes/ipods for a long time, as far back as the little Shuffle for on the go/workouts, only buying new when mine was getting worn or needed more space etc. Those Shuffles really lasted well in my experience, the last one I had finally stopped charging suddenly and now I’m not going to look for another. Anyway I'm selective and don't buy technology gratuitously, mostly because I prefer to keep it simple and not be bombarded by it, and as a music lover I liked being tactile and detailed in my music library approach. Since Apple discontinued the Touch I still wanted to replace my last one, and have been underwhelmed by my experiences since to say the least. Since Apple discontinued the Touch I still wanted to replace my last one, and have been underwhelmed by my experiences since to say the least. Had an awful experience trying the refurbished items on here, service was responsive but the items were bad; not what I'm rating this on but still mentioning it. This new item has been better which is why I put up the money, but there are definitely some differences from the previous models for the worse that I never dealt with before. Despite the advertisement of the same amount of space, something is definitely different, I CAN NOT fit nearly the same amount of songs as I did. I removed just about everything I could from the device, and have had to hack into refining and splitting into playlists my music in ways I never even thought about previously because everything fit. I can't give the exact math of songs fitting as I stopped thinking about it a little while ago when I decided to keep it and go with it, but it's not the same for sure. Also when I connect this to a stereo, yes I still have a stereo and cd player, normally my older ipods would play at a great volume with the stereo moderate volume no issue, but the ones I tried recently including this new one are VERY QUIET, at least halved in volume if not more. The stereo turned all the way up is still not a powerful volume. So it's just another big bummer for wanting to enjoy music which is why you have this product to begin with. It's still fine and louder hooked into the car with a cable. I believe bluetooth is usually quieter even with my previous Touch and I don't use that much. Anyway, it seems this already "old" way of listening to music is somehow being discouraged as they are encouraging everyone to be on streaming, subscriptions, etc and their resulting effects. Also, I've never had to unlock it or enter my password so many times in just using it functionally, and don't think I've seen a way to lessen that. This product gets a few stars for still holding music at least and being good in the car or with headphones.

The last generation iPod; A “Micro iPad”
3 July 2022

I have a first generation iPod and have owned (and still have - and they work) others. Current-generation smartphones replaced much of what I used the iPod for (music library) so I didn’t buy the later ones. This final version was interesting because it has many of the features of the iPad, but in pocket size. So I bought one. I backed it up from my iPad and almost all the apps will run on it. It is basically a mini (well, maybe “micro” would be a better description) iPad. It is also much faster than the earlier version iPods I have. I am using it as an ultraportable iPad. There are some apps that don’t work, I think because they need the larger screen pixel counts of the iPad and the associated graphics processing for that.
