That model was a decent, not great laptop, but this new 14 inch model is a monumental leap in quality from the Intel chip models. It easily surpasses the Windows laptops I have been using since 2017. The image quality of the Pro's screen is wonderful, the sound from the speakers is great, and the overall speed of the new M3 Pro MacBook Pro is superb. It easily handles every task. I have yet to find any flaws in the design or operation of this device. The new Space Black color is very good at hiding fingerprints, which I was initially almost afraid to get, but I am glad I did. ... MoreThis new MacBook Pro represents my return to the Mac operating system after an absence of about six years, after I traded my only previous MacBook model, a late 2015 13 inch Pro, back in 2017. Easy-Peasy smooth ride, instantly transfers data from my old (2013) MacBook Pro. And the special bonus is that my iPhone 13 seems to be much happier too. This model pairs effortlessly with air pods, magic keyboard and track pad. Apple products are built to last, so yes the price point is a bit painful, but worth it. I preferred to invest in a new MacBook Pro since my old one lasted over 10 years. And over a 10 year period the original cost translates to roughly $170 per year ($14 per month for those who are into long term budgeting) compared to purchasing a refurbished one off Amazon that will likely have me crying and stressed for about that long. PS. I also purchased a Laptop hard case to keep my Mac "tucked in" and happy for the next 10 years.

The most frustrating PC experience I've ever had. I've been using a Mac to complete some work, and it was working nicely. After using Windows PCs and Chromebooks, I can not fathom why anyone would make operating a computer so incredibly frustrating to use. Want to change or do anything? Type in your password. Want to adjust the time? Of course one can't just click the time and go to the settings- why would that ever happen. Search for settings. Search for Time. Scroll around, just to find out you can't. You can only do it if you're connected to the internet. JFC. Even the scrolling- after googling how the heck to even change it, their "natual" setting that follows ones finger specifically does the opposite of ones finger. Dark mode is incredibly bright. Just Fantastic

As someone that has exclusively been a windows user since the days of Windows XP, I am having an amazing experience with this MacBook. The OS is pretty intuitive, is very similar to iOS and iPadOS and seamlessly integrates with my other apple devices. The battery life is the main reason I made the jump and it does not dissapoint. I can use it for lighter tasks all day long and maybe go below 50 percent. With a heavier load, such as Blender or Maya, it certainly drains quicker but still outlasts my previous MSI gaming laptop. The build quality is, of course, best in class. The difference is really astounding compared to similarly priced ultrabook/thin+light performance laptops.Overall, I am very happy with this product.

As for the seller, they were great. Everything went smooth and the order arrived on time without issue. As for the product... There's no arguing that Apple makes a solid computer with a steady and consistent OS, but their underlying anti-consumer market strategy and general spirit of pretentiousness make me cringe a bit when buying, or considering to buy one of their products. That being said, while the price is a bit high, the MacBook is still a good machine.Just be aware that this laptop only comes equipped with 2 usb type-c ports and a headphone jack. I think they could have easily added at least 2 more of these ports; especially since there are no standard usb ports, but that's par for the course when it comes to Apple's current offerings. I think they could have easily added at least 2 more of these ports; especially since there are no standard usb ports, but that's par for the course when it comes to Apple's current offerings. This means that for any traditional storage device including sd, micro sd, USB drives, etc., you will need a peripheral adapter device, sold separately of course, in order to use them. Also true for any other device/ peripheral (such as a wireless mouse or keyboard dongle) that doesn't directly connect via type-c usb.All in all, the MacBook is light, slim, and easy to carry, making it convenient for on-the-go work or study. And if you can't live without the mac OS, this is the way to go. However, just be aware that there are more affordable windows-based machines on the market that match and even exceed the power and portability of the MacBook series of laptops. Shop around and do some homework before committing.

Terrific laptop with terrific build quality. Feels substantial, but not too heavy. The perfect level of thickness without being too thick, or too thin. Also, visually very attractive. Runs quick and can handle a great deal. However, and after 15 years of the same, this is par the course - as far as the hardware itself goes, you get comparatively little if you were to invest the same amount of cash into a windows laptop. One thing that is somewhat concerning is the magnetic charger - there's nothing wrong with it, it's fine, but it *feels* like apple is trying to move away from the usb-c standard that the whole industry (including apple) had finally adopted across the board. Like, just, come on. Don't do this, apple. Don't push another niche cable.

Video Games or Music Production?

It’s a thing of beauty, but from what Ive heard and read its been somewhat neutered by Apple intentionally to “force” people to upgrade to the Max version. Idk, it’s a significant upgrade for me from my 8gb ram M1 Pro. The XDR (Apple’s proprietary HDR) implementation is a sight to behold. Apple released their liquid motion 120hz display last gen in M2 Macbooks, which I very much wished they had done for M1 Macs, so it’s lovely having that now. That alone makes it feel far faster/better.Apple’s push into pc gaming is great to see, and this ran the whole excellent game of the year Baldurs Gate 3 really well, however oddly when I logged into the Elder Scrolls Online I was quite disappointed in the performance. My ROG Ally at nearly 1/4 the price plays it better, although not as well as the M3 plays BG3.I love streaming games locally from my desktop pc rig to my ROG Ally which does a great job de/encoding and handling the wifi, so I tried it using Moonlight on the M3 and unfortunately I was disappointed again - the input latency is worse and it has a tendency to lose frames somehow. Its not terrible and its better than the M1 imo, but again outclassed by the ROG Ally at 1/4 the price.Alright - all of that said - the main reason I am even using a Mac instead of a Windows PC is to produce and play music on the Apple OS. The Apple workflow, environment, the stability, the efficiency while on battery - and the clean, efficient file/folder structure makes Apple computers stay fresh and new feeling. It appears to be the exact opposite in Windows computers which makes me want to (and actually do) reformat and reinstall Windows OS fresh at least every 6-12 months because of how cluttered and inefficient the OS and file structure is! Windows is a HOARDER, and I cant be inspired or as creative in that environment. I guess Im a neat freak. So be it.It sucks, because I am such a life long gamer and it would have been really really nice to have the power of that 13th gen i9 Intel + RTX 4080 combo I saw for $600 off on sale at $1999 (I think it was an alienware?), everything about it seemed perfect for me including a sweet AMOLED screen. So if you’re in a position where you prioritize work/music/creativity/graphic design over gaming - I say go with Apple. The M3 Pro can still do some moderate gaming, but not nearly as well as a Windows machine. If you’re in it mostly for playing video games and work/business/music is not much of a consideration - then the choice is easy friends.
