macbook was delivered in less than one week, damaged exterior is normal wear and tear, nothing that cant be covered by a case. my gripe is with specifications which saavy computer buyers are cognizant of. i ordered a 512gb ssd and got a 256, additionally, the product details specified a 1tbhard drive which i have yet to verify. unfortunately storage was 2nd priority for me and cane up short. contacted seller through walmart and no response for 2.5 business days

Having never bought a laptop, much less a used one, I was skeptical. I knew there was no way I was affording a new one, and this site came with pretty good reviews and a 30 day return policy. I had some specific needs for recording music, and it took me a bit to find what I thought was the best for the application. I've had this for a couple weeks now, and have zero complaints. It's screaming fast, has lots of memory, and everything works as it should. There's a couple scuff marks on the outside but the screen is crystal clear and the keyboard is perfect. The touch pad is perfect. I will never spend three grand on a new one of these for sure, now knowing that a refurbished one works just as well for a quarter of the price.

When buying refurbished items, I am very skeptical about the actual product. The description that the seller gave, matched up with the laptop. This laptop came in a generic brown box.with a charger (which works), instructions about the laptop and trouble shooting techniques. The laptop looks brand new and has very minute cosmetic ware. Overall , I am very satisfied with the product I received and the price I paid. I would recommend buying a product from this seller (based on my experience.) PSA : always read the description posted by the seller.

Listed as Very Good But keyboard and touch bar don't work properly
31 July 2023

Very disappointed with OWC, I've purchased before and they seemed as a respectable company. I purchased an used laptop listed as "Very good conditions" I needed the computer to replace my older laptop, so I was king of in a hurry to get my new computer up and running. It tools me a couple of days if not more to get all my applications, passwords, settings on my new computer, after receiving it,only to find out lather that some the computer keyboard keys are not working, the navigation touch bar works on and off, and the trackpad gets stacked.obviously the computer must have fallen or was damaged in some other way, I mean... really good conditions? It looks like no one took a minute to inspect this laptop before reselling it.Now I'm stuck because I need it for work ... MoreVery disappointed with OWC, I've purchased before and they seemed as a respectable company. I'll be using it connected to an external keyboard and use a mouse. Shame on you guys!Nick Biliotti

This MacBook Pro is everything tekdeals said it was. I am very pleased with this purchase so far. Came with a new compatible charger and cord. Thing runs like a beast. In great condition for being refurbished. Should serve well for these years of computer science to come. Thank you Tekdeals.

Refurbished "good" condition 2018 MacBook Pro
2 November 2024

I was a little worried buying a refurbished 6 yr old MacBook Pro for $100 less than a new MacBook Air, but am very pleased that it all worked out. This was rated as "good" and to expect some scratches and dings but I would rate this as "excellent", but not "like new". The packaging was poor. The MacBook was unwrapped and unprotected in the FedEx box, although the charger was in a small box and there was a wad of bubble wrap in the bottom. The charger block looked identical to an Apple charger, but was a knock-off and it got very hot... almost too hot to hold. I've ordered an Anker charger and am using my iPhone charger in the meantime. Battery life is "fair", although the battery health in settings says it's "normal". I think it could be better, but seeing as how ... MoreI was a little worried buying a refurbished 6 yr old MacBook Pro for $100 less than a new MacBook Air, but am very pleased that it all worked out. I think it could be better, but seeing as how this is a 6 yr old laptop it could also be much worse. I'm happily writing this review on the said MacBook Pro. Cons: generic battery charger, and poor packaging. Pros: everything else!

The MacBook Pro is what a Window laptop should have been.
18 April 2019

I have been a Window PC user for 30 years. Have always remembered using Macintosh in 1986 to write my master thesis. But using PC in business allows you to easily exchange documents with peers, although PC's unstable OS is very frustrating. As an independent consultent, my work depends on my laptops. That's right, I always have two models of laptops, one is my backup PC in case my laptop suffers a "blue screen". That exact problem occured last month to my first laptop after WIN 10 update 1809 installment, my laptop won't restart but stuck at a blue screen. Before I fully recover from that crash, my backup laptop suffered exact same blue screen death after another round of WIN 10 update. Before I fully recover from that crash, my backup laptop suffered exact same blue screen death after another round of WIN 10 update. Words can't describe my frustration and diappointment with Window OS. Any other company with such unreliable product as Window OS would have been bankrupted long time ago. Microsoft has said last year that they will stop updating WIndow 10 OS after a few more years. I guess MS is fed up with their own OS software. But the rest of PC dependent public will have to continue to suffer. That's why I decided to buy this MacBook Pro. I knew that migrating from PC to MacBook OS won't be easy. But you have to start at some point. This MacBook Pro 15 is a beautiful product with stable OS. Every bit a business laptop should have been. The only problem so far? Apple's Pages/Numbers/Keynote are not exactly compatible with MS Office 365. When I ported a Powerpoint file from PC to my Keynote, some lables & statements in the ppt file have different format that messes up the presentation. I'll have to fix the format in Keynote slide by slide. It's a pain, I know. But that's better than your laptop dies suddenly, and when you get it back from GeekSquad after they helped you reinstalled WIN 10 OS, none of your familiar software will be there including the Office 365, several donzes of your files can't be reconsiled with your back up files. The unreliable Window OS will kill PC, hope it will be sooner.

Walmart has great refurbished laptops
5 June 2024

I needed an affordable Mac Pro option for my sons Music projects , I actually purchased a similar refurbished laptop from Amazon first . The darn thing mediately said the battery needs replacement ! I had to return it . Walmart has the best price and options for laptops , with great extended warranties . I also have purchased my own refurbished PC laptops twice with Walmart.

Was supposed to be in very good condition. Not so.
13 July 2023

The MacBook Pro was supposed to be in very good condition but wasnt. It appears to have been dropped on front left corner. The body and lid are badly dented there. I decided to just keep it because I was afraid I would get one in worse shape if I sent it back. Its been a few weeks and I realized that the specs on this MacBook dont even match what I ordered. Apparently they sent me the wrong computer. Oh and the battery needs to be replaced. It says in the settings that it needs attention. It might last 2 hours at most. Im disgusted with this purchase.

the best you can get for under 500

Brilliant laptop for All types of computing, but if its power and speed you are after then this machine has it in abundance. the 6core i7 processor is a serious piece of hardware. more than capable of running any software you can throw at it .And at under 500 you really cant go wrong. New this machine was 2.5K , but why waste your money on a new one when this will serve you as well as most new Macbooks, because the hardware is so much more advanced that the software, So whether you are doing graphic design, or Djing, uni, business, or standard use, the quality and performance of this modern macbook for the money you pay , is unrivalled
