It quite literally feels like magic, or at least something that has not been matched. The mousepad is the perfect size, keyboard is nice, compact and has an impressive backlight! Apple has outdone itself in my opinion. The magnet is both strong but not so strong that it is hard to take the IPAD off of the holder. The only thing I didnât like is the limited angle adjustment. It doesnât bother me too much, but sometimes I would like to get a wider angle to view the IPAD from. There are several alternatives out there, but they dont touch the greatness of the Magic Keyboard. I bought and tried a several b4 bitting the bullet and going for this one. The one thing that was holding me back was the protection of my ipad edges, i wanted some way to keep it safe when i pulled and put it on my bike or tread for peloton. The solution was to add(i know more money) a switch easy cover buddy case, its awesome and fits the magic case and perfectly folds your pencil. Back to Magic Keyboard, it quickly snaps your ipad in place, keyboard and function is good(miss function keys). Keyboard firm enough to use in my lap while watching tv. Close the case it shuts down ipad, you can charge thru the case. Itâs expensive but its the best.
I am primarily a Mac user. I looked at my iPad as not much more than a book reader (in the likes of a Kindle but much nicer) and a toy. There was no way I was going to use it to do every day tasks.A lot has changed in the week since I purchased the Magic Keyboard. Though there are some tasks that require my Mac, lots of things are now being done on my iPad. Things that I would not have considered before the addition of the Magic Keyboard. My iPad now goes with me wherever I go (no ways I was going to carry either one of my Macs with me).My only complaint is that it (the keyboard) is hard to keep clean. I looked at my iPad as not much more than a book reader (in the likes of a Kindle but much nicer) and a toy. There was no way I was going to use it to do every day tasks.A lot has changed in the week since I purchased the Magic Keyboard. Though there are some tasks that require my Mac, lots of things are now being done on my iPad. Things that I would not have considered before the addition of the Magic Keyboard. My iPad now goes with me wherever I go (no ways I was going to carry either one of my Macs with me).My only complaint is that it (the keyboard) is hard to keep clean. Problem solved.There are still some things I must get used to, but if I am loving it this much in just one week of use, I am sure Iâll figure those things out soon enough.
This keyboard is very light on its own, but once you add your iPad Air or pro it will be a bit of a weight and you can feel that weight. Other than that, the upper keys such as functions keys, your finger will bump to the underside of your iPad. I feel it needs more space between those upper keys and the bottom of the iPad. I feel this an Apple design flaw. Something Apple can better the ergonomics behind this keyboard design. It has a USB-C port where you can charge your iPad. Other than that, I recommend Best Buy protection over Apple care plan, itâs cheaper and they can replace it if it canât be repaired. I prefer black over white as time will get the white keys dirty and look ugly.
I bought both the Apple Magic Keyboard and the Brydge Pro+ for my new M1 11â iPad Pro. I took the Magic Keyboard back and kept the Brydge Pro+. I have had Brydge keyboards since my iPad Air and iPad Pro 10.7â. The Brydge is Bluetooth and has to be recharged every few month's but once paired, works as soon as itâs opened. The Magic Keyboard pairs automatically and charges from the iPad. I liked that I could easily âSwipe Upâ and remove my iPad from the Apple Magic. The âhang in the airâ design of the Apple was only good for typing on a table. The Brydge is good everywhere from recliner to sofa to bed and goes from 0 - 180 degrees verses 125 degrees on the Apple. Brydge also has an extra row of function keys which is missing on the Apple. If you plan to keep it attached and like using it âeverywhereâ, get the Brydge Pro+, which I found on sale at BB for $120 last year.

After only 1-2 months of use, the keyboard stopped working,I am unable to type anything, leaving me unable to use it for any of its intended purposes.The keyboard was supposed to be a reliable and convenient accessory for my iPad, but it fell far short of my expectations. I tried resetting it, and troubleshooting the issue in every way possible, but nothing worked.Furthermore, the keyboard is quite expensive, and for it to stop working after such a short period of time is unacceptable.
