Apple MagSafe Battery Pack [MJWY3ZA/A]

This MagSafe battery pack is overpriced for what it does.1st it only charging iPhone 12 at 5watt when you are out & about2 doesn't come with plug & cable apple assumes you already have it3 doesn't fully charge your iPhone 124 you need a MagSafe compatible case5 it's not eco-friendly mean I can't share with anybody else who don't own iPhone 12 series6 I've rather buy a Belkin USB-C PD power bank for the fraction of the price7 if you want to find out the percentage of the MagSafe battery pack you need to connected to your iPhone to find it in the widget icon. I have one and I use it on the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Might sound silly with such an excellent internal battery already, but it’s awesome to hold the phone and get better more stable pictures. It’s integrated tightly into iOS (watchOS and AirPods OS?)? So a couple of caveats. It’s able to charge the full 15w with a capable charger if you plug in - but unplugged it charges at a paltry 5W to minimize wear on the battery. It won’t charge >90% because the last ten percent on the internal battery’s the toughest to fill. Apple can’t beat physics but it does keep you topped off and it pushes double the voltage of the Anker so it’s not as significant a difference as on paper. Plug pack in first and vice versa. It also works as a wireless MagSafe charging puck for AirPods or Apple Watch, etc. unfortunately we still can’t use the iPhone the same way. It’s only able to accept charge from the puck not give. Unless plugged in together.But that’s a huge battery saving deal and will show it’s reasoning a year in. For me and my ownership of every iPhone since 2007 and most Apple peripheral devices for iOS - including the built in charger cases which were decent but this is a great step up. It’s very ‘sticky’ magnetically and a satisfying ‘click’ with a graphic on display showing it’s connected correctly and the energy remaining in the puck. For me, well worth the c note I paid and I use the Apple leather case on iPhone and it’s still extremely sticky. Much better, all MagSafe devices are with the iPhone 13 series than the 12 - and I have both the big ones. 12 & 13 Pro Max’s. I handed down the former to my son so plenty of time with v1.

This was bought for a holiday, where I'd need battery power in my iPhone right to the end of long days out.The MagSafe battery isn't designed to charge an empty iPhone - it doesn't have the power for that, which seems to be the source of a lot of negativity around it.However, attaching it to my phone at the start of the day, and letting it top up the battery through the day, it works brilliantly.
