Apple MD825AM/A Lightning to VGA Adapter

BIG warning to buyers, this blacks out DRM protected videos, like Google movies, Netflix etc, but plays free regular videos, like Youtube. That’s fine with what I watch, but you’ll be disappointed if you wanted to play mainstream movies you pay for from apps.I got it for streaming in a truck, wanted to connect with truck audio via bluetooth and stream to TV, does job great.Design is idiotic, should have two female lightning adapters, so I can control it from my phone connected with lightning cable from bunk. Instead, I’m holding phone connected to dongle with clumsy VGA cable and lightning charge cable attached, and cant find female male lightning extender on Internet.

Everytime I go on Vacation I always make sure I take my hdmi cord and this adapter. We all know movies at hotel sucks. This is a small price to pay and guess what you won't miss any of your favorite shows. I would 1000 percent recommend this to everyone. And it's so easy to find. This adapter is easy to use, and works great . Small format makes it easy to carry and just add to the backpack with the laptop and The picture quality is excellent too. Simple and effective

This was such a great gadget it lets me use multiple outlets at the same time and finish up work that I need done without waiting till my phone is charged enough. This has been a game changer and it’s so versatile

Easy, reliable, but comes up short...

I'm using the adapter in a Multimedia car audio setup. Love it. It was easy to setup and and use. However, I would of liked to see Apple extend the lightning cable part to be longer. Not just for my setup, since the adapter, VGA cable and Lightning cable into the adapter are all right next to the phone making it a bulky setup. I have found an extension cable online but at $ it would of been nice not to have to purchase something more. I would say would be a good adjustment beyond just my setup too. For people that travel with presentation A/V equipment or us an iPad (without an Apple TV) to present their slide via projector, it would be nice to have the extra slack from where everything junctions. My only issue though...go a get the quality and ease is still worth it.

Issue made by lighting to HDMI adapter solved.

I used a lighting to HDMI adapter to connect my ipad to a LCD display via an HDMI cable, but it caused no sound issue (which I think Ipad should not transfer sound to LCD display via HDMI since it does not support sound playing). I did a lot of researches on internet but none could work. I now can use the lighting to VGA adapter instead and the issue is solved. Now sound still comes from Ipad itself and the LCD display can display whatever Ipad's screen in a big view. Perfect solution and it's an apple product, and worth to trust.

Not right product

Wanted HDMI not VGA. Search brought up this unit under HDMI. I tried to use it with a VGA adaptor does not work. Going in garbage. Thanks
