This 2-metre charge cable features a magnetic MagSafe 3 connector that helps guide the plug to the power port of your MacBook Pro. Pair it with a compatible USB-C power adapter to conveniently charge your MacBook Pro from a power point and take advantage of fast-charging capabilities. The magnetic connection is strong enough to resist most unintended disconnects, but if someone trips on the cable, it releases so your MacBook Pro stays put. An LED turns amber when the battery is charging and green when it’s fully charged. Made with a woven design for long-lasting durability. USB-C Power Adapter sold separately.

Product is genuine due to the quality of its packaging and it uses Apple’s own fonts. Cable is well built and can last long. It works well with my MacBook and now using it as the daily cable! I like it in white/silver because it is easier to see in dark places compared to my original cable. Now my black cable will be the spare. Delivered in 2 days in good condition at half its price. Production date is just April 2024 if you convert to AD the Thai calendar date at the bottom right corner at the back of the box. Thanks to the seller (which is trusted for genuine Apple products), Lazada and the courier.

This is the original cable that comes with the 2021 Macbook 14" and 16" models. It is 2 meters or just over 6 feet and is braided. I like the light on the side because you can plug in your Mac while it is off, and it will turn from orange to green when it is fully charged. However, at $50, it comes out to over $150 for the OEM 140w charger that comes with the 16" models; an absolutely ludicrous price. What it comes down to is this. Are you okay with 96-100W charging? If so, just use a USB C cable with a 96W 20v ~5a adapter. If you really feel the need to fast charge at 140w, you will need this cable as the USB C ports on the Macbook are *only* capable of 100W, whereas MagSafe 3 is fully capable of 40% higher current at 140W.Although it is convenient, the 96w ... MoreThis is the original cable that comes with the 2021 Macbook 14" and 16" models. If you plan on using the M1 *Max* chip, it can use over 100w in certain rendering applications, in which case absolutely do not hesitate to pick it up with 140w charger or it will discharge faster than charge. 14" or 16" with the "Pro" chip, shouldn't exceed 100w in any circumstances, so pass.If you don't have an extra 140w adapter to pair with this, don't bother. It's sole purpose is to allow more current than USB-C cables currently are rated for and will run you more than twice the price for the same charging speeds, unless of course you have disposable income and enjoy the satisfying *click* of MagSafe.I recommend it for the sole purpose of allowing over 100w charging for high power GPU renders only on the 32 core M1 Max. Otherwise, the only benefit is fast charging that most individuals will not need.

My Macbook Pro cord quit working after 8 months in use. The light on my computer was blinking orange. I had my computer at the Mac store for repair. They could not find anything wrong with it. The person that checked my computer said I needed a larger brick (from 70W) so I purchased a new one (140w that was recommended) but when I got my Macbook home it still didn't charge just blinked orange. So the only other thing I could think of was a new cord and it worked good. This one is a little fatter than the original cable and is white when I was very dark gray but the color doesn't matter. I would not be happier with the cable. It is perfect.

There's no better way to charge a laptop than MagSafe! The cord attaches easily, magnetically. If the charging cord is pulled away, the connector disconnects. The cord is expensive but worth it to charge via MagSafe.
Needed to replace my missing cable for my Mac Book Air. Nothing could substitute so, I paid $50 to power it up. Purchased the adapter as well, but did find that the next day so did an easy return at BestBuy. Both can be purchased together for $80 or separated for $90. They were out of the combo package, so I had to purchase individually. Worked out for me but $50 for a cable seems excessive. I won't lose it again! LOL
It’s a neat device that solves the bulky cord issue I’ve always had with laptop chargers. It’s satisfying to use and doesn’t present the same risks (magnets don’t tear off and leave nubs in the charging ports). It feels like Apple quality, which is to say, it’s expensive but I’m not worried that it’s going to break on me anytime soon. The flexible braiding is soft yet sturdy, reminds me of paracord. The connections are secure and power delivery isn’t really an issue.
works fine. I prever the mag-safe cables. I hated that some of the airs went to a USB C cable. they get bent and break to easily. the mag safes last longer, and it is nice that it is not permanently attached to the power supply like it used to be. still way to expensive for just a small cable though.
