A necessary evil but can't Apple make a watch charger than can also do the phone and the AirPods? Annoying to have a different form factor and another cable to carry around. This does the job and is a necessary evil for an Apple Watch. So the product itself is fine but I am waiting for Apple to step up and simplify.

This is a must if you own one of the latest generation Apple Watches. I was lucky to find an Open Box Ultra at Best Buy, but it came without the charger. I tried using my Gen 3 charger at first, and while it works, it’s very slow to charge and doesn’t take advantage of one of the best new features of Gen 7 or later: fast charging. With this, I can top off the Ultra to a full charge in about 45 minutes. I may need to get a second one to replace my travel charger, which isn’t fast charging.

Fast charging on the latest Apple watches with these pucks is so convenient that I wouldn't look at another brand in case the charging was not as fast.A little pricey, as Apple stuff tends to be, but you forget the cost and appreciate the quality of the product and the charging.So long as you have a USB-C charger that is 20W or greater you are good to go.this is not the braided cable that ships with the Apple Watch Ultra, which is a shame for the price of the charger.Collected from my local Waitrose the day after ordered, same price as direct from Apple but earned points with my JL credit card - what's not to like?

Genuine Apple Watch fast charger (metal puck, USB-C). Charges my Apple Watch Series 7 at exactly the same speed as the one that came in the box, and with the same temperature control (no overheating like with knock-off or cheap third-party brands, which can damage the battery health). Not a problem at all that it's 'open box', it's less than half the price and amazing value for money.
It works great for charging an Apple Watch Ultra. It takes 30 minutes to go from 50 to 100% charge with an Apple 30 watt USB C power adapter. This is just the USB C charging cable. You provide the USB C power adapter. You must use an USB C power adapter for fast charging.
I purchased this thinking it would be compatible with my Apple Watch 6. It will charge it but will not fast charge. It must be paired with Apple Watch Series 7 to fast charge. This is mentioned on the Apple site. This does not take away from the quality of the charger, but I am disappointed that only one series behind the latest model makes it incompatible. Was able to get a small CAA discount as well, so remember that if you are a member.
I lost my charger while traveling. I needed one right away so I decided to buy what was available which was a replica made in China. So to make a long story short, the replica didn’t work. And as soon as I found a Best Buy store, I bought the original charger, and it worked! I’m never going to buy a replica again, ever!
picked this up to have an extra watch charger to throw in my go bag. I have used it a couple of times with the USB-C charger that came with my iPad Air and it works great. Charges the watch very fast and has a good magnetic grip. The cable seems sturdy and the 1m length is just right for use on the go. Since the watch needs to be frequently charged it will sure get more use.
I always like to have an extra charging system for travel so that it stays packed in my travel bag. That way you always have your home charging system left in place. Plus I like a set of charging cords and plugs in my vehicles just Incase you end up spending an unplanned stay somewhere. That way your set for your vehicle and with a plug your worry free as most new vehicles not only have a place for the cable to plug in but if it fails then most new vehicles have a regular 120 volt plug so you can’t go wrong.
