Bought as a well-received Christmas present for my wife, the Apple Watch SE 2022 is so much more than a watch or eg a Fitbit. The smart Apple design looks great and offers a huge and versatile optional range of functional apps, especially when paired with an iPhone. As a first Apple Watch, it took only a short time to learn how to access and use the various functions, especially as part of regular gym and swim sessions. The cellular feature is very useful , especially if the paired iPhone is not immediately available, though there is an extra payment required by the phone service provider in order to achieve full cellular functionality. The watch battery is surprisingly fast to charge and battery duration time seems very good while in constant use as a watch. Two sizes of wrist strap are included to ensure a comfortable fit. I was so impressed that I later bought an Apple Watch for myself. The online ordering and delivery through John Lewis was easy, but it took a while to be delivered as the package originated in China, though it did arrive by the expected date. Overall very pleased with this purchase.

Pros: Being the basic version of Apple smartwatch is actually quite decent. In terms of functionality, it's great, fast and there's not weird bugs or lags which I'm all for. The design is great, minimalistic and simple. I really like the features although it's obviously not as advanced as the latest but way more expensive ones but it does what it should. It's great for fitness, socials and tracking overall, I love the Find My feature, sleep tracking which is actually very accurate, but also the timers and alarms. Great value for money and I would not buy a more expensive one! Cons: Battery is not great. It lasts for about a day and a half. It's a bit annoying that I usually run out of battery and I'm not even using it to its maximum potential. Love this Apple Watch SE 44mm. Truly awesome. Love how it communicates with my other Apple devices. I keep discovering great new uses for the watch.Delivery was much quicker than first estimated. One word of warning... the description erroneously says it's an "always on display." While this is a feature of the more expensive Apple Watches, it is not a feature of the SE. Fortunately, I had already gone to the Apple site to look at the specifications, and therefore already knew this before purchasing. I felt, and still feel, that I didn't need that feature. The display activates instantly when I raise my wrist just fine. That's all I need. However, others might be disappointed if they're expecting the "always on" feature based on the description here on FingerHut.

I had been buying another popular brand for years. Mainly because it was cheaper. So I decided to get the slightly cheaper Apple Watch so went for the SE. I wish I'd bought one sooner. It is so much better than the other brand. Though I did have the ecg app on my old brand which the se watch doesn't have. But I wouldn't pay all that extra for the Apple Watch series 8 just for that. One niggle is not being able to have my daily steps on the main screen. I like to make sure I've done at least 12,000 steps a day. I need to go into an app to see it. But overall I'm very pleased with it. I can see emails, texts etc. being able to type a reply would be better, you have to draw the letters on the screen, but that is quite amusing. This needs charging daily and has way more features but I'd have thought Apple would find a way to have better battery life. 2 days would even be better. I prefer to have the screen only turn on when I lift my wrist as this watch does, I know it can be permanently on with the other watches, I like it like this. I'd recommend getting the se over the series 8 as long as you don't need the extra features.

So I am a late adapter! I have had a Fitibit for the longest and have looked at the Apple Watch off and on. I work in an office where literally EVERYBODY has an Apple Watch. I was getting a serious case of wanting to be a cool kid. My birthday rolled around in January and my husband asked what I wanted. I said "Apple Watch!" He said "Let's go get you one!" I love my watch. I ordered extra bands off Amazon because I am one of those color coordinated people who changes the band to match my outfit all the time :) As a Gen-Xer I love tech, but I am probably only using a tenth of what this thing will do. I love the watch part of course, but being an on the go trainer and educator, I love that I can look down and see emails, texts, incoming calls, etc. The fitness aspect ... MoreSo I am a late adapter! Get the watch, you will love it!

Pros: I have always just had a little fit bit to track my steps/workouts as I didnt want to spend the money on an apple watch, however when that broke I thought I would upgrade and cant believe I have lived without it. The tracking of my steps/workouts is so much more accurate and the rings are a great motivator. I also love the walkie talkie feature and mess about with it with my friends. Being able to listen to music with just the watch and your airpods is also a brilliant feature, going out on a run without your phone but just airpods and wearing your watch is so easy! Having messages/whatsapp etc notifications on the watch was something I wanted to avoid and one of the reasons I didnt want one for so long, but it was easy to turn them off! Performance on a budget!

Hi John Lewis readers! Today, I want to share my thoughts on the Apple Watch SE 2. First things first, let's talk about the design. The SE 2 has the same design as the Series 6, with its sleek, modern look and large, bright display. However, the SE 2 lacks the always-on display feature found in the Series 6, which might be a downside for some users. Moving onto the performance, the SE 2 runs on the same processor as the Series 5 and performs well in day-to-day tasks. It also has a good battery life, lasting up to 18 hours with normal use. However, it doesn't come with the blood oxygen monitoring feature found in the Series 6. However, it doesn't come with the blood oxygen monitoring feature found in the Series 6. The SE 2 also comes with several fitness and health features, such as fall detection, heart rate monitoring, and GPS tracking. These features work well and are accurate, making it a great fitness companion for those who enjoy tracking their workouts. Overall, the Apple Watch SE 2 is a great option for those who are looking for an affordable, yet capable smartwatch. Its design is sleek and modern, and it comes with a variety of fitness and health features. While it doesn't have all the features of the Series 6, it's a great value for the price. Fitness tracking: The Apple Watch SE 2 is packed with fitness tracking features that are accurate and easy to use. It has a variety of workouts that it can track, and it can even detect when you start a new workout automatically. Battery life: The SE 2 has a battery life of up to 18 hours, which is impressive considering all of the features it offers. You can wear it all day and not have to worry about running out of battery. Price: The SE 2 is significantly cheaper than the Series 6, making it a great option for those who want an Apple Watch but don't want to spend a lot of money. You can get most of the features of the Series 6 at a much lower price point.

Probably The Best Apple Watch For 85% Of Us!

I bought this for my wife as a Christmas gift. She had been wanting a Smart Watch for a long time. She got a iPhone 14 Pro Max for her birthday so I knew when I got her one I would go with the Apple Watch... The question however was which one? I highly recommend that you educate yourself on the different versions of the Apple Watch that are offered. There are slight differences between the SE (Gen 1), SE (Gen 2), Series 8, Max etc. The key is finding the ones that checks all the boxes (or most of them) at the price point you are willing to spend. The biggest features the SE Gen 2 lacks vs the Series 8 is 1. No AOD (Always on Display) 2. No EKG or SpO2 sensors (More extensive health monitoring) 3. Pros: - Easy to put on band - Display - Colorway - Fast Charging - Comfort - Battery Life (My wife tends to get a day and a half charge on average. This could possibly be stretched by further customizing the alerts you receive.) Cons: - Charger (Make sure it is sitting on it just right there has been a time or two that it was magnetized but not charging. Ensuring you see the icon popup will take the guessing away though!)

The best Apple Watch for most.

I have been greatly enjoying my watch so far. The integration with my other Apple products, especially the iPhone, is completely seamless. It provides me with all of the relevant fitness and health data and allows me to have a consistent record of it in the app. Having used other bigger and more expensive Apple Watches for work, I believe that this form factor and set of features is essentially perfect for most people interested in getting one. I find the other models to be too bulky and ugly, so I appreciate the 40mm variant more even though my wrists are not particularly small. It lasts about a day and a half for me, which is more than enough for someone that charges overnight, but given that I want to track my sleep stats I have to find a moment to plug it in during the day. Aside from that, it would be nice to see Apple's sapphire crystal offered in the SE next generation, but I understand that this is an easy way to cut costs and sell at this price point. Durability is so far so good, but I'll only really be able to tell once I've used the device for longer. Overall, very satisfied!

I love Apple products but have put off buying an Apple watch for years as I relied on sports watches to monitor my fitness, read texts etc. However, i am delighted with this, one of the key factors for me (apart from the brilliant technology it offers) is the simplicity but functionality of the strap. I have spent so much money replacing straps on watches as they snap due to being caught on clothing etc but this clever design tucks everything away. The fitness app is great and does everything it needs to for my needs, there are a good range of activities on there which cover my exercise regime well. I love that i can carry out most of my communications on the watch, as well as paying for items. The display is brilliant and I am delighted with the look of the watch ... MoreI love Apple products but have put off buying an Apple watch for years as I relied on sports watches to monitor my fitness, read texts etc. However, i am delighted with this, one of the key factors for me (apart from the brilliant technology it offers) is the simplicity but functionality of the strap. The only downside is the battery life which is really disappointing, i need to charge it up most days.
