It was time for me to upgrade my Apple Watch as I currently had the series 3, this one came up first at a really reasonable price and the updated look was lovely. I ordered click and collect to a Waitrose near me (so handy and easy) and it arrived the next day which was fantastic.I think the watch is very user friendly, the upgraded internal systems are amazing and look brilliant. Its fast and responsive to touch which my old one wasn't, I am all round very happy with my purchase and especially for the price. My only issue is the battery life isn't as good as I was expecting, it dies after about 1.3 days, which is quicker than I thought it would be. That is with doing 1/2 exercises with the watch a day. The battery life is verging on similar to my series 3, hence ... Be aware that if you keep Bluetooth enabled on your iPhone then, incoming calls will go straight through to the watch. I have used the feature but find it strange answering calls this way. Texts and emails are notified on the watch if you enable these features which I have done.So worth buying if you already use an iPhone.

I was given the Apple Watch for a milestone birthday gift. Originally, apart from wanting a new timepiece, I wanted to be able to answer my mobile without having to run into another room to find it. However, I'm still discovering just how much more the Apple Watch offers - from sending and receiving messages to keeping up your fitness levels - it can even remind you to move if you've been still for too long. The list goes on and I haven't explored it all yet. The options can be turned off if you don't want to be reminded to stand up. It's a little larger than a conventional watch but it's surprisingly light and comfortable to wear. The strap is easy to fasten and it's changeable if you want a different style. I purchased this as a replacement for a Fitbit Charge 2 which dies after 5 years faithful service.I conducted a lot of research into a replacement and, despite being underwhelmed by poor battery life, I chose this product, which is a Which Best Buy. Another negative from the Which review was that it's not particularly good at counting steps if you're inside a lot.I already own an iPhone & this watch interfaces seamlessly with it, giving masses more functionality than a Fitbit or similar. As with all tech these days, it doesn't come with any instructions but you can find anything you need on the web or at Apple Help.I haven't found the battery life a problem as yet (it only lasts a maximum of 24 hours) as I charge it during periods when I'm sitting down. ... Similarly, the lack of step-counting I have countered by using Calories Burned as an activity measure instead.Very pleased with the purchase & would recommmend.

The watch’s battery life easily lasts through a full day, even with frequent use.Perhaps most importantly, the peace of mind it offers with health features like fall detection and Emergency SOS is invaluable. Instead, Apple has just polished it, giving it an even lighter-weight body, a new processor to future-proof it, new colors, and a small price drop.If what you want from this Apple Watch SE 2 review is to know whether it's worth upgrading from the original Apple Watch SE, the answer is no. You don't get any big new features here – the most notable is car crash detection, which is obviously desirable, but I don't think too many people will pay $250 / £250 just for that.If you're wondering whether you should go for the Apple Watch SE 2 or the Apple Watch Series 8, that comes down to the specific features you may want, and what you're willing to pay for them. The Series 8 has an always-on screen (which I think feels like a worthwhile upgrade), plus an ECG, pulse oxygen sensor, and temperature sensor that's designed to help women manage their reproductive health. If you don't feel like you care about any of those health sensors, then the Series 8 is a lot more money for not much of a different experience.Because the overall experience is what the Apple Watch SE 2 absolutely nails: this is a full-fat Apple Watch, with no complicated questions over what's been cut out compared to the higher-end option. The omissions are listed above. You don't get an older processor that means you have to wonder about speed, and you don't have software restrictions. The screen is a little smaller than the one on the Watch Series 8, with a slightly thicker bezel, but this is not a big deal, especially given Apple's focus on black backgrounds in watchOS.For the last four years, I've always had whatever the latest flagship Apple Watch is, and I've used it every day. I swapped from my Apple Watch Series 7 to testing the new Apple Watch SE, and I've not felt any diminution in my experience at all, outside of the lack of always-on screen – and I'm living with that perfectly well. While I wish Apple could fit the always-on screen in here at the price – or would help to democratize home health monitoring by including the ECG and/or pulse oxygen sensor on this cheaper model – there's no question that this is the best Apple Watch for those on a budget, and is one of the best smartwatches of any kind in terms of balancing features and price.Apple Watch SE 2 review: Price & release dateReleased September 202240mm version from: $249 / £259 / AU$39944mm version from: $279 / £299 / AU$449The Apple Watch SE 2 isn't defined by its status as the low-cost Apple Watch option – but it's not not defined by it. It starts at $249 / £259 / AU$399 for the regular model in the 40mm size, and $299 / £299 / AU$479 if you want cellular connectivity at this size (this is the version we tested). This is a price drop of $30 in the US compared to the original Watch SE, and £10 in the UK for the regular version, or £20 for the cellular version. A price drop was important.
The budget Apple Watch is probably the best Apple Watch. Let’s face it most people get the watch to look at daily metrics like step count and heart rate and have a quick glance a text messages as they come in. Well this delivers that just as good as an ultra watch. Trust me I have both. If you aren’t sneered the celular, I recommend this option over all the others, because the price is very reasonable and you get all the important features and none of the fluff. You can’t find your phone, it can ping it and make it ring. You get a text message while at the movies, you can see the message without having a super bright blinding screen distracting people. You like to control your music while working out? what a relief an easy to get to control. You need a quick timer ... MoreThe budget Apple Watch is probably the best Apple Watch. And for what it’s worth I own the ultra 2!
