Battery is awful

Love everything except battery life. I had it for ten months working well and lasting almost all day, charged it every night and then around ten months it wouldn’t hold a
charge more than a few hours. Sent it to be “fixed”, sent back and still the same issue. Called and after a long phone call they sent an express replacement but this one also
won’t hold a charge more than six hours. I can put it on low battery mode and it still dies before dinner. I’m over it. They say the battery health is just fine, but it absolutely
won’t stay on through a day. What good is it if I can only use it through mid afternoon? I only use it for texts and calls pretty much. I’ve turned off automatic down... Show more

The budget Apple Watch is probably the best Apple Watch. Let’s face it most people get the watch to look at daily metrics like step count and heart rate and have a quick
glance a text messages as they come in. Well this delivers that just as good as an ultra watch. Trust me I have both. If you aren’t sneered the celular, I recommend this option
over all the others, because the price is very reasonable and you get all the important features and none of the fluff. You can’t find your phone, it can ping it and make it ring.

This is my third Apple Watch. My last was a 3rd generation, and this is a very noticeable upgrade. It's beautifully crafted, but the balance of features and price are what makes
it a winner. It may be missing a few of the health features, but has the main ones most people need. It's also quick and responsive with a good screen. I like the fact that my
straps from my old 3rd generation watch fit. Apple has a page on their website to help you check compatibility. I've been using it for over a month now, and it's fully lived up
to expectations. The added year of guarantee from JL is as always, nice to have. If you don't need the extra specifications on the models above this is a really solid choice.

And for what it’s worth I own the ultra 2!... Show more

Great Basic Apple Watch
20 October 2023
I’m coming from the Series 5 44mm watch. I realized that I didn’t use a lot of the functions and I simply wanted something that would track my steps and also something that would allow me to see my messages while at work in case my mother or family needed me. We can’t use our phones on the job. This fulfills just that for me. I’m enjoying the smaller 40mm size more because I have small wrists. The starlight color wasn’t my first choice, but I’m very happy that is the one I chose. It goes with everything because it’s such muted color. I’m super pleased with it. I had absolutely no issues activating it. It paired with my 14 Pro flawlessly and it’s nice that it has cellular so I don’t have to have my phone by me to be able to receive calls. Lovely upgrade from my Apple Watch 3
5 August 2024
It was time for me to upgrade my Apple Watch as I currently had the series 3, this one came up first at a really reasonable price and the updated look was lovely. I ordered click and collect to a Waitrose near me (so handy and easy) and it arrived the next day which was fantastic.I think the watch is very user friendly, the upgraded internal systems are amazing and look brilliant. Its fast and responsive to touch which my old one wasn't, I am all round very happy with my purchase and especially for the price. My only issue is the battery life isn't as good as I was expecting, it dies after about 1.3 days, which is quicker than I thought it would be. That is with doing 1/2 exercises with the watch a day. The battery life is verging on similar to my series 3, hence ... MoreIt was time for me to upgrade my Apple Watch as I currently had the series 3, this one came up first at a really reasonable price and the updated look was lovely. Love This Watch
17 June 2024
Being an all Apple user who is getting her fitness under control, I graduated to this watch from a Fitbit.Yes, it does need to be charged daily but the pros outnumber the cons for me.The watch is extremely comfortable to wear, especially in bed (unlike my previous brand). The data options covers my needs.Notifications are very useful.Easy to put on "silent"when necessary.I'm not a runner so it's not an issue for me to have my phone with me to answer calls etc., and I cannot justify the cost of buying the models that support that option so am pleased that Apple offer a wide range of this phone.40mm face suits me.Option to change the clock face is really good.Very happy customer!... New Apple smart watch
13 January 2024
Previously I have used Fitbit but decided on a change. I already have an iPhone/ 2 iPads and 2 I iMacs so an obvious route to go.I bought the cheapest one as could not afford to pay for the pricier models. Arrive well packed. Seamless to sync with my iPhone where I have the Apple watch app installed. It took awhile to get used to it as I was a user of amother well known brand. Now okay. So I go swimming in my local pool with no issues and just dry the watch when changing. There is a feature to eject water from the watch but I cannot see any water when using it. I also use a feature that activates when you wash your hands to time for optimum hand washing cleaning. The battery life is not as good as some other brands but I made a conscious decision not to wear it ... MorePreviously I have used Fitbit but decided on a change. Be aware that if you keep Bluetooth enabled on your iPhone then, incoming calls will go straight through to the watch. I have used the feature but find it strange answering calls this way. Texts and emails are notified on the watch if you enable these features which I have done.So worth buying if you already use an iPhone.... Show more

Save your time and money if your thinking of using with a stand alone plan
9 July 2024
Got my son this watch on a stand alone cellular plan with Verizon and not sure if it’s the watch, apple or Verizon that I’m fed up with. 1st off shouldnt take 3 hours to set up a watch (had to do this twice since they replaced a new one after just 2 weeks because of the issues) and 2nd we are luck if out of 12 times trying to call my son one of the calls actually goes through. Or the fact that calls he tries to make on the watch are about 1 in 10 that go through. In the first 2 weeks of having this watch I spent a good 8 hours in person and on the phone with Verizon and the best they could come up with is “it’s a known stand alone apple watch issue”. Not sure how that’s ok to sell a product as working one way and then say ohh that’s a known issue and too bad and we ... MoreGot my son this watch on a stand alone cellular plan with Verizon and not sure if it’s the watch, apple or Verizon that I’m fed up with. 1st off shouldnt take 3 hours to set up a watch (had to do this twice since they replaced a new one after just 2 weeks because of the issues) and 2nd we are luck if out of 12 times trying to call my son one of the calls actually goes through. The gift that keeps giving
23 June 2024
I was given the Apple Watch for a milestone birthday gift. Originally, apart from wanting a new timepiece, I wanted to be able to answer my mobile without having to run into another room to find it. However, I'm still discovering just how much more the Apple Watch offers - from sending and receiving messages to keeping up your fitness levels - it can even remind you to move if you've been still for too long. The list goes on and I haven't explored it all yet. The options can be turned off if you don't want to be reminded to stand up. It's a little larger than a conventional watch but it's surprisingly light and comfortable to wear. The strap is easy to fasten and it's changeable if you want a different style. I purchased this as a replacement for a Fitbit Charge 2 which dies after 5 years faithful service.I conducted a lot of research into a replacement and, despite being underwhelmed by poor battery life, I chose this product, which is a Which Best Buy. Another negative from the Which review was that it's not particularly good at counting steps if you're inside a lot.I already own an iPhone & this watch interfaces seamlessly with it, giving masses more functionality than a Fitbit or similar. As with all tech these days, it doesn't come with any instructions but you can find anything you need on the web or at Apple Help.I haven't found the battery life a problem as yet (it only lasts a maximum of 24 hours) as I charge it during periods when I'm sitting down. ... MoreI purchased this as a replacement for a Fitbit Charge 2 which dies after 5 years faithful service.I conducted a lot of research into a replacement and, despite being underwhelmed by poor battery life, I chose this product, which is a Which Best Buy.
