Apple Watch Series 8 45mm Midnight Aluminium Case GPS
Apple introduced the new Apple Watch Series 8 in the September event in 2022. The latest Apple Watch has an always-on display that is durable, dustproof, and waterproof. The cases are built from stainless steel or 100% recycled aluminium. The Apple Watch 8 is a great companion for various sports capable of detecting activities like swimming, running, and cycling and offering you versatile data on both the watch interface as well as on your phone. Basic Smart watch functionalities like sports tracking, sleep tracking and messaging are complimented by a versatile compilation of health trackers like ECG and measuring blood oxygen levels. The new Apple Watch Series 8 is built with a new temperature sensor that can track your body temperature even while you sleep up to 12 times a minute. Apple introduced a new safety feature, and the series 8 Apple Watch has improved the sensors and gyroscopes to detect car crashes when driving. The watch will automatically connect you to emergency services and notify your close contacts with location information. The battery normally lasts 18 hours in use, but Apple also introduced a new low-power mode that can extend the battery life to up to 36 hours with a full charge. The Watch also supports fast charging.

The battery from my Series 4 way on the way out, so wanted to upgrade. This is a modest but solid upgrade, with noticeable speed improvements making the watch feel a lot more refined and responsive in everyday use.The always-on screen is the biggest upgrade for me, and nice that you can set some details to auto-hide, like calendar appointments, unless you're looking at the watch. The slightly bigger screen is also a very welcome addition. I have small wrists so was worried about the overall physical size increase - even though it's just 1 mm - but it feels almost identical to the Series 4. If your current watch is a bit broken/dying or you're on a Series 3, you'll love this.

I absolutely love my Apple Watch 8. The screen is a bit bigger than I'm used to since I upgraded from a FitBit, but since it mirrors my iPhone I never miss a message (as long as my phone is nearby) and I love the reminders to move. I've become more motivated to close my rings each day. I would give it 5 Stars, except that the one feature of FitBit that I liked that is not available on Apple is the food tracking. On FitBit you entered your food on the app and it automatically tracked your exercise so you always knew how you were doing on calories in vs. calories out. With the Apple you have to use a 3rd party (I chose MyFitnessPal) app to track food and while the one I use does sync with my watch to track steps, I have to manually enter any additional exercise I do. ... MoreI absolutely love my Apple Watch 8. It's not a deal breaker, but I do wish that Apple Fitness (or Apple Watch) offered the ease of tracking calories in vs. calories out.One of the benefits of the Apple Watch over my Fitbit is that the sleep tracking on Apple is significantly better. Some of the sleep tracking functions that come standard on Apple are only available for premium subscription on Fitbit.Taking all of that into consideration, when I go to replace it - hopefully years from now - I will stick with Apple as the benefits significantly outweigh the drawbacks.

I never write any reviews, but the experience I had buying this watch was unpleasant, so I decided to write one. Hopefully, other customers don't experience what I had to go through.I ordered the watch on October 11 and received it on the 14th. One week into using it, I started to see that it was heating up and turning off while charging. Since I bought the Allstate protection plan, I thought I would contact them rather than return it to Walmart. They told me to mail the watch to them so they could repair it, so I did that. Two days later, in the morning, I received an email saying they had received the watch. The evening of the same day, I received another email stating they could not repair the watch and sent me a Walmart gift card for the watch itself, which was ... MoreI never write any reviews, but the experience I had buying this watch was unpleasant, so I decided to write one. Two days later, in the morning, I received an email saying they had received the watch. The evening of the same day, I received another email stating they could not repair the watch and sent me a Walmart gift card for the watch itself, which was $349. The total cost for that watch was 414.60(349 for the watch, 34 for the protection plan, and tax 31.60) They didn't even ask me if I wanted the watch back or the gift card. They did not refund the tax or the protection plan cost since they couldn't even fix it, and I only used the watch for barely 1 week. Not only that, they said that they would not return the watch back to me. If I were to return the watch to Walmart, they would have refunded the whole amount. The bottom line is there is no use in paying for the protection plan from Allstate. I called them to see if there was any way I could get the watch back, but they kept saying that they had refunded me the amount for the watch, and that is what the plan covers so they couldn't return the protection plan cost. I even told them that they could take that gift card back and just return that watch to me. They said they would get back to me soon. I really hope Allstate can fix this.I will come back and update the end result.

This is my wife’s watch - but I bought it and I also own an Apple Watch so I’ll leave this review. I also own a Garmin Fenix 7 solar…but the two watches shouldn’t be compared. If you’re an athlete and all you really care about are athletic measurements and data related to your workouts - the Garmin is what you want. The battery life on the Fenix is ridiculous, too - so if you plan on running Spartan races for a weekend, the Garmin is probably also what you want. All that said, if you need a smartwatch - I’d challenge that there isn’t a better choice than the Apple. Most of what the majority of people will be doing with their watches can be accomplished with the Apple Watch. Chances are you won’t be running races all day every day and you probably won’t be running ... MoreThis is my wife’s watch - but I bought it and I also own an Apple Watch so I’ll leave this review. Most of what the majority of people will be doing with their watches can be accomplished with the Apple Watch. Chances are you won’t be running races all day every day and you probably won’t be running ultra marathons - if you were, you wouldn’t be reading this review. The Apple Watch acts just like a mini version of your iPhone - it shows pics and messages, it controls your Apple TV, you can be all .007 and talk into it, and somehow it always knows when to display my boarding passes. It just works more in everyday life than my Garmin - but I’m good with not having all the features for the most part. If I had to choose between the two watches as an ONLY watch - the Apple Watch would win. Short battery life aside, it’s a fantastic watch and you won’t regret having one on your wrist.
In the box:• 45mm Apple Watch Series 8• 45mm sport band• USB C charging cableAfter 6 years with my Series 2 Apple watch, my 42mm Milanese mesh band developed a snag and it was next to impossible to fine another that size. I opted to upgrade to the 45mm Series 8 watch instead. What a difference! The 45mm doesn’t feel that much bigger than the 42mm on my wrist, but the 58% larger display (396×484 vs 312×390 pixels) is very noticeable. I was startled the first time someone texted a photo to me. The image was amazingly clear on the watch display.I was always annoyed with the Series 2 when the display would not come on unless I moved my wrist in a particular way. I was startled the first time someone texted a photo to me. The image was amazingly clear on the watch display.I was always annoyed with the Series 2 when the display would not come on unless I moved my wrist in a particular way. This problem was solved going to the Series 8. The new display is a low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) OLED which dynamically adapts the refresh rate. This allows the watch to reduce the refresh rate and use far less battery power for static images (like the watch face without seconds displayed) and enables the use of the “always on” feature. Thank you, Apple!I used to charge my Series 2 overnight. With the Series 8, however, I am now charging during waking hours in order to wear it while I sleep and track my sleep patterns. It keeps track of time spent in deep, core, and REM sleep stages and detects intervening episodes of awakening. Charging time is remarkably short with the 20W Apple USB C charger (not included). My battery typically drops to 50% over the course of the day and fully charges in less than 1 hour.Other notable new features in Series 8 (compared to Series 2):• Electrical heart sensor• Blood oxygen sensor• Temperature sensor• High-G accelerometer• HDR gyroscope• Altimeter• CompassCompatibility: In order to connect your iPhone and Series 8 Apple watch, you will need an iPhone 8 (or newer) running iOS 16.

I purchased this online through the chat and I wish I had gone to the store to see it first. I have had it maybe a month now. It's very masculine and the magnetic wrist band catches my arm hairs. When I went into the chat and ask questions, the person chatting with me was brief, asked if I wanted this watch, I was unable to switch between the online verizon chat and the pictures of the actual watch, I just thought stainless steel would be the color of the watch band and silver would be the color of the watch, no not at all, the watch band is magnetic metal and the watch itself is heavy and a flat silver, so that was the second thing I didn't care for unless I was a masculine and it's probably more fitting for a masculine person. The first week I got it and wore it everyday, except to charge it but I noticed my arm started to ache, the second week goes by and I notice my arm is really achey, it felt as if someone had hit me in the arm over and over again. I took the watch off for the weekend just to take some of the heavyness from the aching arm. On Monday I noticed my arm wasn't hurting and I thought nothing of it, by Wednesday my arm started hurting again so I took off the watch to see if that was it and by Friday my arm had stopped aching. I had to go buy a bumper for my watch anyway so I picked up a light weight more feminine watch band. I don't wear it as much as I did when I first got it because tho its not as heavy as it was since I took the magnetic band off, my arm is still slightly achey so I don't wear the watch when I sleep anymore, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of why I got it, so I could keep track of stuff regarding my health. It's going to cost money to switch the watch to my husbands phone and then money to switch my old watch back to my phone so it's kind of a waste of money since I am now only wearing it when I leave the house, I havent even had it a month. The shiny excitement has fizzled. Sad.
As a long time Apple phone user I had high hopes for this my first Apple watch. However, I was disappointed coming from an older Garmin Vivivofit 3 with the fitness capabilities and display of the Apple product. With the Garmin watch? I could easily see step data immediately on the face. With the Apple Watch, seems like it took 3 steps to get there. Ridiculous. Especially while I'm working out. I decided that the Garmin Venu 2+ was a better fit for me and my exercise centered focus so I took the Apple Watch back - saving hundreds of dollar in the process. Also I can get days of battery life on the Garmin but not the Apple. I also hated the watch band with it's tuck under and snap engineering rather than the conventional style that everybody and their grandmother is ... MoreAs a long time Apple phone user I had high hopes for this my first Apple watch. Sometimes what works well should be left alone. Now, if you aren't fitness focused so much? The Apple watch will work fine and you might appreciate the integration with your Iphone centered universe. With my Apple Phone in hand, I just felt like it was repeated overkill (and on a much more difficult to see and navigate screen.)
Switched from Android and the Apple Watch is the first accessory I got . Very happy so far. Use it for tracking workouts and other activities. Very well integrated with Apple Health app. Stats are presented well and easy to understand. Sleep tracking was the surprise package . Didn’t expect to have much use for it but it’s the one I look forward to reviewing the most every day. Super helpful to be able to have insights into sleep quality.ECG was a must-have and it’s incredibly handy to have in my case (get the occasional palpitation related to mitral valve prolapse) .tbh not sure if the ecg feature is designed to capture such a thing - so that remains to be seen .One knock is the battery life. Getting ~24 hrs on a charge . Shorter on a activity heavy day. ... MoreSwitched from Android and the Apple Watch is the first accessory I got . Very happy so far. Basically you’ll have to charge it once a day IMO.If you’re on the fence about getting something more “robust” like a Garmin or this…..odds are you’ll be more than fine with the Apple WatchPS- the stock silicone band is actually not the most comfy after a few hours . Look at other options
