Best to avoid all pressure sprayers at Bunnings, especially this one.
Yes it's cheap. A hell of a lot cheaper than any of the others. It's also built to go basically straight to landfill. Everything about it is poorly designed and awkward to use, and on top of all that, the flow is pathetic even when you pump it to the moon. The main top seal is already starting to show signs of failure after two uses, requiring it to be screwed as tight as my hands can possibly manage. The best value for money pressure sprayer I've used is a Hozelock, a brand that Bunnings for some reason doesn't stock anymore.... Show more

Best value sprayer available anywhere
I wanted a cheap 5 litre garden sprayer to spray a herbicide that mixes 60:1 with diesel on my rural property, as I didn't want to wreck an expensive sprayer so I thought I would start cheap and this one did come with a full set of spare seals. They were on special at the time so I bought 2 of these sprayers expecting to be onto the second unit fairly quickly and to my surprise 2 years and 1500 litres of diesel later my wife & I are still using the original sprayers, however we are on the second set of seals and have bought 2 spares if ever required. They have been pulled apart a few times times which is easy and had contamination (dirt/grass) cleaned away, and a smear of rubber grease on main plunger seal & trigger seal. We only use a fairly low pressure so not a lot of pumping in 5 litres and get on average 35 minutes out of each 5 litres. We never clean the residue diesel out after use, so when people say you need expensive pumps with viton seals maybe not the case. We do use better quality sprayers in the garden for fine spraying with higher pressure but can't knock these beauties. Have told heaps of mates that do the same spraying. Bunnings please don't read this and triple the price.... Show more

Cheap piece of garbage. Beware.
I have bought 3 of these sprayers over the 18 months or so. Mainly because they were cheap. No more. I have learnt my lesson. These sprayers are garbage. Total garbage. The seals don't last more than a couple of sprays, the tubes break down almost immediately, and the unit simply doesn't work after a few sprays. It is a cheap piece of garbage, which is okay if all you want is something to get you through one single spray job - but if you want something that works reliably after that - this product is not for you.I have learnt, the hard way, to pay a few extra bucks to buy something that actually works. It is cheaper in the long run.... Show more

for the price, it's a pretty darn good little spray unit!
probably getting on for putting about 50 tanks of (round up) through it over past couple of years. The wand comes right apart and the (tank filter) mesh is all easy to get at and clean too. I've cleaned the wand out 2 or 3 times now, the trick is to really flush it out every time your done spraying, but sometimes i get lazy. now, not dismissing those who got a dud unit, but what I can say is, if you show this little sprayer some love, it will keep spaying until the cows sing.. buying another couple of units next time i go to Bunnings..... I'm evidently one of the lucky ones
Bought my first one two years ago for weed and feed. A little assembly was required, but nothing major. I followed the directions and was soon using the sprayer for the purpose I bought it. Works like a charm and the only problem is that it fell off the shelf and bent the rod which now leaks. I'm hoping I can buy a new rod from either Bunnings or the distributor. In the meantime, I'd bought my second, no problems with that one either. If the worst comes to worst, I can interchange the rod. I'm about to buy a third to use on insect control on my vegetables. I agree that the cap was a little difficult to get off, but that's what the lugs on the handle and cap are for; if you press firmly against the cap with the handle, you can successfully tighten or loosen the cap. ... Poor handle release design.
Poorly designed. The pump handle fits into lugs on top of the screw lid. When pressure gets low and you have to release the handle from the lugs to pump again the direction you have to turn the handle is the same direction as the whole top unscrews so I keep unwittingly unscrewing the whole lid and losing all pressure rather than just releasing the handle from the lugs for 1 or 2 pumps. It's annoying and keeps happening so interrupts the nice flow of spray. Other than that it does the job eventually. The $9 cheapie alternative didn't have this problem but it was sold out and I needed a relacement for my 11yr old cheapie.... Show more

Poorly designed
After reading many negative reviews i bought this product anyway as it was cheap and available. Other better brands sold at other stores had sold out (spring time and lockdown in Sydney).I used this product on 2 consecutive days and i have to say it was difficult (bordering on painful) to use. The shoulder strap is absolute rubbish. It is poorly designed such that one or the other of the straps continually falls out of the hook. As a result i had to either avoid turning in any way while carrying it, or, tie the straps around my arm and hold the cannister. I have since bought one from hoselink as another reviewer suggested and am just waiting on its delivery for the 2nd spray.Bunnings - it does you a disservice to be selling rubbish like this. Pro’s of this option
This is an excellent economical option for the variety of necessary uses that you need to use them for in your garden.Ideally, if you can afford a far more expensive option thst comes with warranty then that’s great. But if you have 3-5 different purposes that your budget cannot cover the pricier options then these will have you sorted. They have a reasonable lifespan of intensive use and the cost balance does work. (I.e. having to replace one a couple of times over a year or two is still economically viable.... Show more

Started leaking pressure after a couple of weeks
As it says on the title. The sprayer started out great, but after a few weeks' worth of use, it began to leak pressure, seemingly from the central pump. Many fixes were attempted, including swapping out all the seals, loosening and tightening all potential airlocks, cleaning every part of the sprayer, buying a new set of seals, etc. The worst part is that there is no clear defect or damage to the product, so for all you know you might be getting another such 'lemon' when buying one of these. It's cheap, but sometimes you really do get what you pay for.... Show more

Works great if you clean it after every use.
Bought this 4 years ago and used it 50+ times to spray large lawn and 83 fruit trees. Today the pump started leaking. Went on line to buy replacement, and noticed it comes with spare parts. Checked my tool box and sure enough, found spare o-rings and check valve. Ten minutes of fiddling and the old one is good as new. (I always thoroughly clean after use, otherwise it would have been toast long ago!)... Show more
