Do Not Recommend: Dries/Cuts Lips

I usually always read the reviews but I’ve always heard good things about this brand for moisturizing the skin BUT lips and skin are different. My lips are usually really soft and look soft but lately I’ve been trying new chapsticks so they haven’t been as soft SO I tried this one. I definitely do not recommend because I got a cut on the outer corner of my lip (within 2-3 days of using) since it dried and it actually hurts and my my lips are SOO dry-the worst they’ve EVER been!! TikTok be influencing me on what I should use sometimes which is why I decided to try different brands but I’m just sticking to what worked which is CARMEX. 10/10 works the best and is the holy grail of chapsticks in my opinion.

I really appreciate that this doesn't have a weird chemical taste or a fruity/sweet/tropical flavor, which seems common in SPF lip balms. I prefer lip balms without flavor because flavored ones make me more likely to lick my lips. It's also very moisturizing but not greasy, with no white cast. This is something you could put under or over a lipstick for SPF protection without it messing up your makeup. It also doesn't have oxybenzone as one of its sunscreen filters, and I prefer to use sunscreens without that ingredient. I was looking for a lip balm SPF not just for the lips but also to use around the eyes. For sunscreens that tend to cause eyes to burn, using a lip balm SPF is a great option since it sticks better instead of a liquid formula. I was thinking of ordering just 1 to try at first. Glad I decided to get the dual pack since lip balm SPF can get used up pretty quickly after reapplication. It’s best to reapply every time after drinking and eating or every 2 hours around the eyelids and under eye areas when outdoors. The formula is hydrating and has no noticeable scent. Ideal for chapped and dry lips as well. I’ll repurchase this item and buy for my family members next time.

My go to for the sun now

I purchased this lip balm with sunscreen because every year at the beach my lips get burnt, sore, and chapped. I tried the hawaiian tropic and didn't care for theirs that much, so I decided to try this. After wearing it every day for two weeks while at the beach, my lips are in great shape. I had no issues the whole time we were at the beach. Did the lip balm taste great? No but I mean it's not awful. I don't expect lip balms with sunscreens to ever have a great taste to them. My husband even used this while we were at the beach and was happy with it. I'll be using this for when we go to Mexico for sure!

Sunscreen taste is so so bad.

I’ve used the Aquaphor lip repair stick before and loved it. I thought it was nice this one also offered protection with sunscreen, but it taste horribly! As soon as I apply it to my lips, all I taste is sunscreen. No matter how little I put on I can still taste it. So weird! I was sad thinking this was the new normal for the repair stick. But comparing it to my old one there is just the difference with sunscreen added or not added. So make sure to buy the one WITHOUT sunscreen. Honestly so upset I spent $8 on this.
