The pump vibrates a lot and is a lot noisier than the one that has run for over 20 years which couldn't be heard unless you were standing right next to it, the pump was a model called "THE PUMP 40" type SSP-40GJ-L I wish they were still available .

Excellent pump for ponds around 2000-3000ltrs.Would recommend, and have also purchased, the Aquapro Prefilter to reduce the frequency that cleaning is required.
