Let me preface this review by saying up front that these are the best arch support thongs i've ever worn, and the only reason they don't get a 5 star review, is going to be posted below.ME: on the wrong side of "young", overweight yet active (cycling, snowboarding 35+ days a season locally, 20+ OS during Nth Hemi Winter every other year) -- significant ankle / arch issues, as well as serious over-pronation, brought on by an over-ambitious attempt to lose weight via serious walking, in barefoot style shoes, in a concrete urban environment, where my enthusiasm WAY overshot my foot support and stretching regimen -- OH OH OH, ALSO!!! I am blessed to be endowed with the worst type of foot possible - US M Sz 10, 2E wide, broad forefoot, and REALLY high arches ... MoreLet me preface this review by saying up front that these are the best arch support thongs i've ever worn, and the only reason they don't get a 5 star review, is going to be posted below.ME: on the wrong side of "young", overweight yet active (cycling, snowboarding 35+ days a season locally, 20+ OS during Nth Hemi Winter every other year) -- significant ankle / arch issues, as well as serious over-pronation, brought on by an over-ambitious attempt to lose weight via serious walking, in barefoot style shoes, in a concrete urban environment, where my enthusiasm WAY overshot my foot support and stretching regimen -- OH OH OH, ALSO!!! ESPECIALLY if i was in my flip flops after putting some healing cream on my heels / wearing them whilst washing the car / soap flying everywhere in the shower as my dog tries to escape my whilst I'm washing him in the shower -- blowouts were a real thing, most often either between the toes or otherwise on the outside of the footWHY ARE ARCHIES WORTH A LOOK? : 1) mold injected (i guess?) is always the best way to go, guarantees as much uniformity in integrity as possible / 2) like advertised, no blow outs (yet!!) / 3) wide enough to accommodate a 2E wide foot in a Sz 10US, in the standard Archies Sz 10 / 4) on the previous point, i have not worn any other arch support footwear EVER (flip flops, sandals, insoles, shoes -- Birkenstucks, heh) that fit my foot, provide the support and durability i need, and yet stay SO streamlined around the foot shape, without burdening you with excess foam in front of the toes / hanging out the back of your heel.GET THESE. THEY ARE GREAT. WHY NO 5 STAR? : these are the best arch support flip flops i've ever used. They deserve a 5 star. The reason they don't get that 5th star, is a good reason -- because these are the little brother to the slides -- the slides step it up a notch, in terms of "sticking to the foot" via the big strap over the forefoot, and due to their greater amount of material required to construct the slide vs. flip flop, the slides just feel more stable -- not just some arch support, but a more whole system of controlled foot movement and support -- 100% get both the flip flops and the slides, you won't regret "guinea pigging" yourself to decide which ones you'll stick to for the rest of your life!!Happy arch support hunting!!!

When I was reading the reviews for this product I was slightly skeptical, as they seemed too good to be true. I have to use orthotics in my running shoes, and wear arch supportive sandals inside most of the time. After using intermittently for a few weeks, they seem amazing! The arch has not lost any support, and the strap has not stretched, allowing for a continued good fit. Also, my feet haven’t felt tired or achy deviating from my regular footwear.I bought these for an upcoming vacation down south, as my last trip landed me with my planters fasciitis due to walking around in unsupportive footwear at the beach and most of my trip.I’m going to test these out for the summer and re-purchase for my trip later in the year if they hold up. I bought these after walking around in a sub-par pair of sandals for the first few weeks of spring. I was almost dreading summer because my feet were already starting to hurt from wearing cheap sandals. I didn't want to wear tennis shoes all summer, but also didn't want my feet to hurt. I'm a busy mom with kids who have lots of activities, so we are on the go a lot, and I like to go for walks. My husband and I walk almost a mile and a half every evening. My husband is a physical therapist and I mentioned before buying these sandals that they are "physical therapist approved" - to which, he had a response of something like "they are probably too good to be true". So, I ordered them with low expectations. I'm also 25 weeks pregnant and I have almost no hip, knee or foot pain, or even fatigue despite all of the walking we have been doing! Sometimes, we even go for 2 walks a day! I have worn these flip flops non stop! They are so comfortable and supportive! I'm so thankful I tried them! The summer would have been miserable without them, but thanks to these flip flops, I'm more active than ever! 10/10 recommend!

Archies thongs were originally recommended to me by a physio 2-3 years ago, as I had foot pain from heel pronation and some metatarsal Inflammation. They make such a difference, especially as we have stone floors.I recently ordered 2 new pairs. Archies sizing has been slightly changed over time and I felt the new ones might be a little small. I contacted customer service on the weekend (not expecting a reply until the following week) and almost immediately received a reply by email.I had a few helpful email conversations with customer reps and after new measurements it was recommended that I try the larger size. As this was an issue secondary to a slight change in the Archie's sizing, Justine sent me two new pairs to try BEFORE returning my original purchase so that I could compare the 2 fits. I was then able to return my original purchase using the pre-paid sticker, confident that I now had the perfect fit.I wear 1 pair all the time indoors and have others for outdoors and travel.I have also purchased thongs for my husband and have asked my sons to do their measurements so I can order them a pair each.Honestly, I think everyone should have at least one pair of Archies thongs: the comfort is amazing and I have never experienced such responsive customer service.
When they first arrived I glanced quickly and thought they looked like regular flip flops you can buy in Walmart. Then I put them on and immediately felt the difference. I took them off and took a closer look and saw that they were not like a Walmart flip flop at all, way better. little ridges where the toes go so they stay on with no effort even if you have lotion on your feet (I have very dry skin and wear a lot of lotion). Then I noticed the arch support that fit exactly where my arch is (or used to be). I wore them for the rest of the day, was thinking my feet didn't really feel any different, I didn't feel like I was walking any different. Got home and took my pups straight out for a walk, didn't even sit down for a breather like I usually do. Got home and took my pups straight out for a walk, didn't even sit down for a breather like I usually do. The next day I put them on first thing in the morning, and my feet seemed to instantly mold into the flip flop shape. Then it hit me that it wasn't that I couldn't feel any difference in my feet, it was that I had no pain in my feet or knees, and I felt like I had more energy and didn't need to sit and take my mind of the feeling in my feet. I had no feeling in my feet. Not that they were numb, I am usually aware of every step I take and how I have to roll from my heel to my toe and try and hold my feet straight to support my (weak) ankles and knees, in my Archies I just walked. Fantastic, no pain, anywhere, and they just stayed there on my feet, no gripping or slipping. Next question how well do they last. Well, I have only had them just over a week, but, I have put my slippers away (which I couldn't wait to get on my feet when I got home before-now I don't want to take my Archies off) and literally wear my archies from 4:45am until 9:45pm every day so far so good, the soles are still showing no wear, the heel area is not indented or listing over to one side, and the arch hump (not sure of the correct term for that) is still supporting my arch area, right where it should be. Even my Puma flipflops had started listing to one side with less wear time.
I have suffered with painful plantar fasciitis for several years. I wear inserts in trainers, boots & shoes which does help but haven’t been able to find any sandals which the inserts can be used with or slippers which have arch support so after reading the reviews on Archie’s I thought I’d give them a try. I ordered a pair of pink flip flop style for wearing around the house. Easy to order & delivered the next day. Because I’m used to a strong arch support I thought it wouldn’t take any time for me to feel comfortable but it did take a couple of weeks, well worth it though because my feet are now used to the correct position, what a difference, I’ve not had heel pain at all.!!! I’m basically using the Archies as slippers at the moment & am being a bit precious about them 🤣. I’m not a fan of sliders, they’re just not my taste but I will be ordering a pair so that I can wear socks in the winter & I’ll be using those as my indoor footwear, the flip flops can then come out to play. Archie’s seem a tad expensive but if you suffer from foot pain they are so worth the money & be patient while your feet get used to them because it does take some time but absolutely worth it in the end.
I don’t normally review things, but this is truly life-changing for me. I have tried just about every brand of arch support shoe on the market. I have found some that have been relatively helpful and others not helpful at all. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I have spent on shoes. When I first ordered these shoes and put them on, I felt dizzy. I wore them for a few minutes and took them off and then put them on again and felt the same sensation of dizziness, but I left them on for a couple of minutes and didn’t feel dizzy any longer. I have been wearing these nonstop ever since. My knee and hip pain is SO much better. I believe it’s a true testament to how out of alignment my body was. It’s really hard to find shoes to wear when you have all the issues I have including plantar fasciitis. I really do think it’s all about the proper support and the fact that these shoes have arch support but they’re also cushioned just the right amount. Not too much not too little.I really want to try the Secra brand of shoes, but I am very leery that the support and cushion won’t be the same and for the price, I’m going to hold back at this point. But for now, I will be buying every color of the Archies flip-flops and maybe a pair of slides because they have made a huge difference in my life!
Got a pair for both the hubs and myself and we are done with all other flops. We love that they actually “flop” less than other brands and feel very secure on our feet. I got our exact sizes (10 for him and 7 for me) and we both like that the soles aren’t excessively long but still cradle our heels and completely protect the tips of our toes. The sole can be a bit slippery if you step into them dripping wet but that’s not a shock - otherwise they are the most sturdy feeling and the arch support is great. We use ours primarily as beach or poolside sandals, demoting the cheap (and not so much) other brands as lowly “shower shoes” when camping. Since they are more spendy than others, we’ll watch for good deals, but these will be the only brand we buy going forward. The tan color looks great on my olive-toned skin as I like the best match I can find in “beige” colors. The hubs got a pair in taupe which is a bit darker that his skin but its a nice “tan” against his skin that is not flashy which he appreciates. We are very happy with our sandals and will recommend them with gusto. Thanks Archies; its nice to meet you!
This is my second time ordering the Arch Support Flip Flops from Archie's. My first pair I got after seeing an ad, because I have really bad ankles (past injuries that never quite healed properly, and some connective tissue issues), and flip flops have always left them aching. These were amazing!! I was unsure at first, because the arch was too high and hurt quite a bit, but after messaging with a wonderful person at customer service, I trusted the process, and wore them around the house a bit. They molded wonderfully to my arches, and the next time after that, were very comfortable. I wore them all summer, and all around Vietnam and Thailand, and my ankles were so happy! They molded wonderfully to my arches, and the next time after that, were very comfortable. I wore them all summer, and all around Vietnam and Thailand, and my ankles were so happy! Due to someone accidentally stepping on me while walking down a ramp, one of the toe pegs snapped (this was after MUCH use, and a good amount of force from the incident, not due to poor quality), and after much hilarity in super gluing it to get through the next week or so (I did not want to go without them, haha), I finally had to throw in the towel. Ordering a new pair before this summer was a must. I got both this black pair, and a mint green pair, and am very happy with both.
I have frequently looked at those massively overpriced, branded flip flops (you know the ones I mean) and thought, " I would NEVER spend more than a tenner (and I would consider THAT expensive) on a pair of flip flops"! However, as someone who lives in this kind of footwear in the summer months and who suffers with fallen arches (and the consequences on an ageing back and knees), I thought I would give Archies a punt - and I haven't looked back! In my humble opinion, these are THE BEST flip flops on the market - extremely comfortable (I have been on long walks in them) and the arch support that they offer make a massive difference to my poor old joints (just ask my osteopath)! I have bought 3 pairs so far - not because they've worn out or broken - but because I like ... MoreI have frequently looked at those massively overpriced, branded flip flops (you know the ones I mean) and thought, " I would NEVER spend more than a tenner (and I would consider THAT expensive) on a pair of flip flops"! I have bought 3 pairs so far - not because they've worn out or broken - but because I like them so much I wanted a variety of colours (I will buy a 4th pair if they ever come out in a bright red!!) and on one occasion, to replace a beloved pair that some b*****d stole from outside a sauna...I am not one to make unsubstantiated claims on products that I have bought and it is rare for me to give 5 stars to anything but in this case I am happy to do so and would rate them higher if the system allowed (and before you ask, I am neither affiliated to the company or being paid for this review)!! If you are unsure about buying a pair, don't be; returns are free and easy (I bought the wrong size initially and had the replacements on my feet within a week) and if the price is more than you would generally pay, think of it as an investment - you won't regret it...
