The Men's Alpha GORE-TEX Jacket is an established climbing hardshell from Arc'teryx. Streamlined without compromising mountain functionality, the StormHood fits securely over a helmet. You can access the chest pockets when wearing a harness or pack. On strenuous routes, use the pit zips to release heat and regulate body temperature. Inside the jacket is a secure zipped pocket and a mesh drop pocket for quick-access storage. The Velcro cuffs are glove-compatible; adjust them alongside the hem drawcord to perfect the fit. An embedded RECCO reflector adds a safety element to aid in search and rescue situations. The Alpha's regular fit leaves room for technical layers, while articulated patterning improves mobility for comfort while climbing. Excelling in alpine conditions, the PFAS-free GORE-TEX Pro ePE membrane provides complete waterproof and windproof protection. For the outer, Arc'teryx used two weights of their proprietary Hadron Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) fabric. The LCP grid material is ultralight yet durable, with impressive abrasion resistance. The fabric is body-mapped, with a burlier denier used on the high-wear areas to enhance performance.
