Best Leggings!

I was looking for leggings that offered a bit of warmth for those cooler days and couldn't be happier with these! I own the regular Essent Leggings and am not the biggest fan, but these feel totally different. They are soft and warm and the fit is perfect (I bought my usual size 8). I've been wearing these non-stop, mostly paired with the Hallam Crew (which is also an amazing piece!). Tempted to buy another pair, that's how much I like them.

Drawstring is a game changer!

I absolutely love these leggings and I cannot put into words how excited I was to realize this version has a drawstring!!! I have only run in mild weather (0 to -5C) in these so far but I’m certain that I’ll be living in these all winter. They are super cozy and stay securely in place. In regards to sizing, I got a size 6 (usually 4 or 6) and although I was a tad worried they wouldn’t fit as I pulled them on, they are perfect.

Great material, odd fit

I bought this as a possible replacement for athleta Rainer leggings which I’ve been doing short winter hikes in. I liked the high waist, and the feel of them on my skin but the sizing was off for me. They seemed to be longer than 26” and were tight in the ankles (more than was comfortable for me) and in the waist. The lower belly area was fine but the waist line seemed smaller than it should be for size of leggings. I ended up sending them back. It’s rare for me to send anything back to arcteryx, I really wanted to love them.

Love these leggings!
7 November 2023

I love these leggings. They are warm and super comfy. They don’t fall down when running. I agree with a previous reviewer, I like the warm version better than the regular essent leggings. I did find they fit a bit small though. I originally ordered a size 6 (the size recommended by the sizing chart and the size of my regular essent leggings) and I could barely move. Ordered. Size 8 and they are perfect. New favourite winter running and cold weather climbing leggings.

New Winter Favorite
29 October 2023

Perfect balance of warmth, stretch, and fit. When other brands put out a warmer version of their existing leggings, the fabric tends to be heavier and less stretchy. But the stretch in the Essent Warm Legging is designed to compensate for the heavier fabric so that it's just as comfortable as the regular Essent. The high rise and the drawstring also make for a great fit. It's my new fave winter legging!

Nice work Arc
9 January 2024

Love the fit of these. I also love the sizing metric Arc is using in their leggings. I know that women come in so many different sizes, so just because these worked for me doesn't mean they'll work for everyone. The waist on these for me is snug but not uncomfortable - note that I don't tend to get waist gap, so that is not typically an issue for me. The height feels perfect and almost identical to Lulu. I got these in the same size that works for me in Lulu. Size 6 - I am almost 5'6 and just shy of 130. No muffin top or anything like that. Nice work Arc.

Overall great but some wear n tear fast
27 March 2024

Love these pants. I love that they stay in place when I’m running , esp on the descents!! High rise, keep the shape. My only problem is that the material around the thigh pockets are starting to pill and wear and I’ve not even had a full winter in them yet… so bc of that I feel the price is too steep.

Size Chart is Accurate!
21 June 2024

Love these leggings! The material is so comfortable and the drawcord is a great addition. Unfortunately, I ordered 1 size larger than my normal size because so many reviews stated that these run small. Nope! They run exactly as the sizing chart indicates. I’m 5’5” and 125 lbs with a 27.5” waist. I normally wear size 4 but I purchased size 6 based on other reviews. I almost kept them but the waist band was just a bit too loose and I read a lot of reviews that said the waist gets baggy with wear. So I returned them. Unfortunately, size 4 in black is sold out now 😩. If they get more in stock, I will definitely repurchase!

Too short, loose waist
21 December 2023

Good: material and stitching quality.Needs improvement: legs need to be longer to fit average height and taller women; waist should be higher rise by at least 1” especially in the back; waist should be tighter, calf and bum should be roomier to fit athletic bodies; remove inner leg seam as in most premium running tights.Fit notes: The waist is too loose and low, calves and bum area tight, and the legs are far too short for winter tights. They’re cropped length on me, and I’m not tall. I would consider buying a longer version with a higher rise. The current rise is too low causing a wedgie, particularly in the back - possibly due to lack of space for glutes. For reference, I am 5’5” with a hip-waist differential of 10” (i.e., matching the size chart measurements), ... MoreGood: material and stitching quality.Needs improvement: legs need to be longer to fit average height and taller women; waist should be higher rise by at least 1” especially in the back; waist should be tighter, calf and bum should be roomier to fit athletic bodies; remove inner leg seam as in most premium running tights.Fit notes: The waist is too loose and low, calves and bum area tight, and the legs are far too short for winter tights. Too small
2 April 2024

Legging was too small (4 is my normal size in Arc'teryx bottoms). Sized up to a 6 and they fit once on but require some effort to get on. I think the fit needs to be improved here as I dont think anyone should have to order 2 sizes up. I really like design otherwise (waist height, length, pockets). They are warm enough for outdoor activities in mild winter weather and I have also worn them under shell pants for snowboarding. Nicely breathable, when I was sweating on top my legs did not feel hot or sweaty.
