It was a good buy. Weird that the colors on the fan didn't match, but they are not visible from where they are installed inside the case. It's not a big deal, but it just puzzled me and the guy behind the counter. This store is like a candy store for me. I cannot wait to go back.

I have bought two of these fans for both my pc's in my study. They are good quality and run quietly in both pc's. With the PWM feature (4 wire connector) the system can run the fan as efficiently as possible whilst maintaining the temperature withing the case. I did have to extend the lead on one of the fans but that was due to the main board having the sys fan header all the way at the other end for some reason. Great quality product, best fan i have ever had in a PC.

Hardly 'silent'. Had to order a fan controller to slow them down but still quite audible.

Awesome

First time I've ever bought fans and first time I've ever installed them. Sadly I could only use 1 of them because my mobo only has 2 fan connections in total and the splitter I bought was the incorrect one. I really don't want to have to pay another $15 for delivery just to get the right splitter. But anyways, as a first timer the install was easy. The fan is indeed incredibly quiet and honestly I can barely hear it.

Great PWM solution, but not reversible
17 September 2009

I really like the anti-vibration design of these fans. Basically the fan is suspended by four rubber mounts to the part that you actually screw to the case. This eliminates the need for special mounting screws or dampening pads. With the design of this fan, all moving parts are isolated from the chassis, so anything else would be redundant and totally unnecessary. Screw it to the case and you are done. This fan is non-reversible. It is for exhaust only. Not a con as long as you know what you are getting beforehand. If you need an intake fan, buy the AF12025 PWM instead. However, if you are installing it in a Cooler Master Cosmos as I did, you can indeed use it as an intake, using the supplied plastic fan mounting brackets that came with the case. I have five in my Cosmos. 2 intake, 3 exhaust. They fit the brackets just fine. I took off only one egg for the daisy-chain wiring, however I suppose for most people this will be a non-issue.

Great update or upgrade for any system
6 August 2019

With a splitter Ive put these onto my grandfathers PC that was running hot temps of like 80c gpu and 60c cpu, with a single .35 amp 120mm fan 100% under load. Now with these fans set to 30% using .1 amp all up, and temps 60c gpu and 40c cpu under load. Sooo quite because the high airflow means they can run ultra low on idle web browsing. If you have to run them at 100% they would be a tad loud.

These Arctic F12 fans are out of this world!
28 September 2019

I recently upgraded my Studio Audio workstation PC to a newer AMD 8-core cpu, but it was running extremely hot, so I upgraded my quiet water cooled corsair H55 to a H80i solution, but the dual stock corsair fans constantly sound like a jet fighter taking off. This is no good for recording anything acoustically. Way too much background noise. I just fitted these arctic babies and now my workstation is nearly silent. No exaggeration 1000 percent reduction. I really recommend these fans if you need to run cool and quiet. Just for you information running a Digital Audio Workstation with multi-track recording and playback is very resource intensive, it eats CPU cycles and RAM like they're going out of fashion. Especially if you use a crazy amount of plugins like I do.

This fan is pretty good
25 April 2017

Great Value. I wanted a 120mm fan with PWM and this fits the bill. It seems to make a faint clicking noise below 30% output and also seems to have trouble reporting it's RPM at those low outputs. If you try to go below 20%, it will actually just go to 100%, which is about 1450RPM (with no obstruction). I don't let it go below 30%, which is about is still pretty high RPM wise (I think about 600RPM but I am not in front on my machine right now). I would greatly prefer a fan with the ability to be at 20% PWM or lower. Keep in mind that this may also be an incompatibility with my motherboard, an ASRock Z270 Gaming K6. I can't hear it at its minimum 30% output over my relatively loud power supply. At 1450RPM you can hear it, but that's obviously what the PWM is for.

Very quiet and solid quality
11 October 2019

Some reviews suggest that these are loud. There are not at all loud. Their quality is also solid. I've managed to reduce my pc temperature by a few degree just by placing these in the right position and direction.
