I bought these under the impression the bearings could be great and not too noisy. Bought 3, only 2 worked properly. The 2 that work are doing as they should but with a slight hiss, which if you have audio is not noticeable at all. Definitely an improvement over the awful Corsair case fans that pulsed and vibrated that could be heard over audio. Overall I think if you get a good batch these fans are good at £5.99 vs £20 for a single Noctua fan.Also is it normal to ask my age, gender and location for a product review? Weird.

Replaced two case fans (exhaust) that died after 7 years with a PST linked dual. Replaced the back exhaust fan, then added 2 (intake) behind a mesh filter. All operated without a hitch and the PST links means I still have a second CPU FAN PWM header on MB if I need more. Rig is running cool and quiet.

Not much to say about fans. They work, are reasonably quiet and a good value. Only had them for a few weeks so can't comment about reliability but all 5 fans worked straight out of the box as expected.

This computer was being built for an extended family member so I wanted to keep the cost low. At the sale price I wasn't expecting a whole lot of these fans so I bought 3 of them (2 for the front, 1 for the top, 1 rear fan came with the case). When I pulled these out of the box I noticed that they were actually Swiss-built (or at least Swiss-designed). Switzerland makes quality stuff so my expectations were immediately raised. Once I had the computer all together I booted into the BIOS to set up the fan profiles and was shocked to (not) hear how quiet these fans are! I don't care about LEDs and was actually kinda disappointed that the case came with an LED fan. I considered replacing it with another F12, but as I said earlier, the goal was to keep costs down. After the computer was all set up and running well, I set the computer to bake for a few hours on Prime95. Running the blended test to wring out the Ryzen 5 1600 and 16 gigs of Team Dark RAM, my board and chip temps never got above 65C (about 58C with the case front open). Moving forward, I expect to use these in all my builds! CONSIDERABLY cheaper than Noctua, and while Noctua may offer better longevity, the difference to me between a 3-year fan and a 6-year fan isn't important. 2 of these is still cheaper than a Noctua and the amount of effort it takes to replace a fan is minimal. One caveat, the front case fans wouldn't quite reach the fan pin header on the motherboard so I used a Y-splitter to tie them together and gain the extra few inches that were required. The Y-splitter I used was actually a left-over from a previous build in which I'd used Noctua fans, so I guess it's fair to say that the extra money you pay for Noctua in part goes to the niceities that are included, like splitters, noise suppression resistors, and rubber mounts, but again, when a Corolla will do, do you really need an LX470?

I realize that for a case fan, you mostly worry about the volume of air, but my CPU cooler uses this exact same type of fan to push air through the heatsink, so it would be interesting to know if it's optimum for that or not. The instance of the RMA is unfortunate, but that is the nature of the beast of ordering things online. In the past, I had to RMA my ASUS brand motherboard, so even with quality items it's still a risk. Even though I had to shell out more money, and essentially paid double for a single fan, I still paid (roughly 33%) less than if I had paid the absolute premium for what is considered a top-tier quality fan. That is why I'm still giving the item five stars.
I bought this to lower the temperature inside my case while playing games. I somehow measured it by placing a temp sensor above the case (case has holes above), and while playing there were 32 degress.After installing this FAN to take the heat and expel it through the BACK SIDE of the case, the temperature while playing decreased at 28.5 degress (on top of the case). So even if my measurement is not so accurate, at least I could see a difference.btw, when you screw those wide screws, make sure you insert them correctly from the beginning.
I Have an Alien Area-51 790I, purchased, 11/2008, and it runs 24/7 (99.9% of the time). All of the original fans still work except for the one I replaced. I just found the new fan was dead after 4.75 years. The original are not Bearing Fans, but still work perfect. I guess 'Long Service Life' would be around 4+ years. Fortunately, I purchased 2 so I would have a backup :) Check your fans people :)

I purchased three of these to help cool a now RMA'd r9 390 card, and they do a fantastic job especially at their comparatively low noise level. I've been using Arctic fans for around 6 years now, from case fans to HSF units and I've yet to find anything to really complain about. I do a lot of computer builds and have tried all sorts of case fans, but always keep an eye out for this brand if the budget allows. No, these are not completely silent, but neither are the exponentially more expensive Noctua, and these look a lot better to me anyway. At eight bucks they're really reasonable, especially with the daisy-chaining feature. They don't really seem to move enough air until they're over 1000 rpm and by that point they're screaming like a chainsaw. Not pleased with them and won't be buy any Arctic fans in the future. Installed 2 in the front, drawing air in. One went in the back blowing out. The two remaining were put in a mount blowing up on to my GPU. The front and the back were chained to reach one of the 2 PWM on my MB. The GPU adds went in the other. My bios couldn't handle that, so I reinstalled a fan controller. Put the front two on one, the back on another, and put the two GPU on a third. At 1000 rpm they really ... MoreFinally got around to installing these.
