Im grateful it came to me in proper mailing carrier and not a box or flimsy bubble wrap package. It's so nice, I've always loved this album and having it on vinyl is satisfying. There are like two scratches on side B and very very tiny dents I noticed but it didn't affect the playing quality. It sounds great and so far has no skips. I will say the vinyl sticker in the center has a stain? (ref. picture 3) and the inner sleeve it came in was weird. I went to first pull it out and the side of the vinyl was peaking through the right seam on it (reference second picture). Either way it's great so far and I'm so far pleased.

Not sure if i should keep it
29 June 2022

This is my replacement order. The first one didn’t even fit onto my record player. This one slightly warped but playable. The center sticker is cracked. And the vinyl wasn’t trimmed right. Whoever manufactured this release did a terrible job. Luckily target has good customer service.

Record came unplayable

Bought record brand new as a birthday gift for my daughter she was sadden. Record was unplayable it just keeps skipping. Tried cleaning it and it still kept skipping. I missed the returnable date due to having surgery and now i cant return it. Its her favorite band too.

Skips Every 30 Seconds!

VERY disappointing. It’s a great album, I’ve always listened to Arctic Monkeys, but the vinyl itself is horrible. Side One does skip horribly, almost every thirty seconds. Expected better… :(

Warped and skips
11 January 2023

Returned the first album due to it being warped and excessive skipping. The resold cement copy was worse and unplayable. My experience with buying vinyl at Target is poor. This rating is not a reflection of the music at all.

trash pressing
1 May 2022

like the title says, trash pressing. the outer rim has 2 separate spots where it feels like the record was whittled by hand. the playhole looks melted, glue stains on the label, and side b skips. great album, wish it worked

Who knew it was possible to hear in monochrome? Arctic Monkeys’ 5th studio album is a wickedly seductive record, draped in black leather and wielding a switch-blade. Alex Turner and co. had spent years shapeshifting from pointed indie, to sun-stroked desert rock to whimsical psychedelic pop. It wasn’t until AM that they created a sound so assured and so spellbinding. The thick grooves underpin the album. Unfaltering drumbeats and dark bass-lines dripping with fuzz leave you with a sense of dread and paranoia. That chest rattling dread associated with the likes of Black Sabbath. The haunted atmosphere is compounded by Jamie Cook’s guitar, flexing its muscles over the hip swaying rhythm. Even through the familiar Motown swing of 'Snap Out Of It', the bubbling G-Funk of 'Why Do You Only Call Me When You’re High' or the Velvet Underground melodies on 'Mad Sounds', you feel violated. Turner’s sinister overtones are palpable. His voice is demonically possessed. On songs like 'R U Mine?', 'One For The Road' and 'I Wanna Be Yours' he is joined by a chorus of fellow doomed souls. His fresh-faced cheek is dead. He retains his humour but the lines linger for longer, your hair stands up straighter and just like Turner, you can’t help yourself crawling back. AM is darker, sexier and better than anything Arctic Monkeys have done before or since. Play it after midnight. Turn off the lights. Watch your back.
