Arctis Nova Pro Wireless Ear Cushions - WC Freeze Cooling Gel, Gold Marble

These are a good replacement for the earpads that come stock on the Nova Pro Wireless. They definitely take care of being able to feel the ANC bumps when wearing the headphones and for that alone it gets three stars. The cooling gel itself gets it another star, because it is cold when first putting them on, but they don't stay cold for very long. Granted, they aren't supposed to stay cold the whole time, but they remain cooler than the stock earpads even after sometime. Overall, they are very comfortable and plush compared to what SteelSeries provides and can support long periods of use. Wicked Cushions does lose a star when it comes to shipping. Shipping is through USPS but it goes through a third-party shipper first, OSMWorldwide, which drags their feet when it comes to shipping. If they were to cut them out, I believe that I would have gotten my package way sooner considering the distance that I am from where it shipped from if they just shipped directly through USPS.

I originally ordered a set of Hybrid Velour earpads for my SteelSeries Artctis 7 wireless around 4 years ago - close to a year after I originally bought the headset.. Those were amazingly comfortable and after four years of heavy use, only the surface faux leatherette on the outside of the cushions are finally starting to crack and flake off some. But the cushions themselves are still in great shape after so many years. In fact, the cushions have outlasted my headset. I've tested these and they are better than the original ones from Steelseries in many ways.1. They breathe!Yours ears don't sweat up the same.You all know what I'm talking about 😅2. They don't press on your ears!3. They have a better feeling against your head.There are some things that are better with the original tho.1. Original have better sound. It's easier to hear at lower volume. Easier to fine tune the sound volume. With the WickedCushions I have trouble fine tuning the sound - either too low or to high!2. Better sound dampening. The original cushions have a deeper cushion edge agains the headset making the sound travel more directly to your ear and tighter insulation. I was expecting some amazing experience with these, but just not so. In fact, I find there to be less bass and the cushions don't seal anywhere near as well as the stock Artic Nova Pro Wireless cushions. The bottom of the ear cushions don't even make contact with my neck and form very well at all. I think the bass issue is primarily because I don't have a big fat neck for these to press and form against. I put the stock ones back on, and bass is back and sounds better. Likely sending these back for a refund and find another less expensive brand that will get the job done. Nice concept, easy to replace/swap with the stock. Just not working for me personally.
