Ardell Brow Tint - Medium Brown

My eyebrows are a source of contention- inner me refers to myself as Nomorebrowski for spite. As I have aged my eyebrows have become thinner, lighter, and moved slightly south. I used to have perfect eyebrows -I never even had to shape them! In hindsight, I should have appreciated them more. I have tried everything -pencil, gel, pomade, powder not to say they aren't all great products in their own right, but it is an artistic ability that I do not possess to make any of that look close to natural eyebrows. My mom, a retired beauty professional, helped me do this the first time, as I had no clue what I was doing - turns out this is something I can do myself! It took about 15 minutes total for prep, application, sitting time, and removal. You mix a powder developer. Getting the mixture off places I didn't want it was a sinch with a q-tip. I was extremely relieved and pleased with the results. The difference is subtle and natural. It looks like my old brows are back (except for the southern relocation)! I can still enhance them if I want (I am digging powder for that right now) or leave them as-is for a completely natural look. I am not sure how long they last, yet. I will try to remember to update you on that and how the second application by myself goes. I had no sensitivity issues with this, though I would recommend you read the back about possible allergies allergic reactions. The only thing that could improve this product would be to include something in the kit to measure what needs to be mixed to ensure a precise mixture ratio and thereby optimum tinting. I will use it again and hope it will be my forever brow care. I recommend this for a natural-looking brow option. The top photo is after (ignore the broken blood vessel on my eyeball I woke up with[no clue why] and that I had just-out-of-the-shower-unbrushed brows) and the bottom is before. It brought out those nearly invisible brow hairs that old me now possess.

6 Drops of Developer + 1 Scoop Powder

I have used this product for years because it works! Finding the right amount of developer and color was a little tricky for me tho, in the instructions it says to use equal parts but its really hard to tell cause one is a liquid and one is a powder. However I have found the perfect ratio. 6 DROPS OF DEVELOPER + 1 SCOOP OF POWDER COLOR (its the perfect amount for both brows) into the clear mixing container. Mix it up with the flat spatula for about 10 seconds and then use the mascara wand looking applicator thing to finish mixing, pressing it up against the sides of the mixing bowl to really break up any little clumps or color. Use the mascara wand applicator and apply to your brows (dont be shy with it!) use a q-tip to wipe off any excess dye, let it sit for about ... MoreI have used this product for years because it works! I bought this product from Target and didn't use it until months later. Now, I'm almost in my mid '40's. I've been dying my hair literally since the early 90's and have never had one single issue let alone an allergic reaction. Things are different now lol......I decided to use this product on a Thursday morning. By the following Sunday morning, my eyes had swollen shut. By Monday morning I was in the ER.It took just over 3 1/2 weeks for the swelling to go away. When the ER Dr. said 48hrs at the most 😄. Only bonus is that if I come in contact with this product again, I will most likely have another allergic reaction and it will be worse. Could even possibly end my life 😔. Don't usually write reviews but this product was THAT bad

I've been tinting my brows for years and figured I'd give this brand a try, and since it was at ulta, I figured it'd be good. I disregarded the negative reviews as some people just misuse products and get bad results to no fault of the product itself, but not in this case. I've tried many different tints over the years, and some are better than others, but none have ever been BAD, until now. You have to do a lot of trial and error to get this product to even work at all, and once it does, the result is subpar. Save yourself the hassle and just get delia or godefroy elsewhere.

Don't waste your money

Nothing about this product is good honestly. I was super excited to see a brow tint product in store that was affordable. I got it and it is just awful. I followed the directions and got this thick clumpy paste that would not go on my brows at all. It dries instantly in the mixer and when you try to apply it, it flicks right off and gets into your eyes. Not to mention, it doesn’t even do the job! So so disappointed I wasted my money on this.

Easy to use and non-dramatic. Realistic.

My daughter relentlessly complains that she has no eyebrows. No matter how often I reassure her.. it’s a constant concern for her. I bought this on a whim today, and used it during her facial this evening. Turns out.. she has more eyebrow hair than I realized.A small bowl is provided with a mini spatula and a scoop. (Its actually white cute) you mix the powder color and developer. (This takes a little more stirring than you would expect). Eventually you get a very dark brown creamy consistency. Using the brush provided, we applied and faithfully let it stay for ten minutes. We used a cleansing makeup wipe to remove the product. It did take a moderate amount of effort to remove from the skin, but that is to be expected.I am pleasantly surprised. I bought this today, I tried mixing this exactly as said 3-4 times, it's not only clumpy, it's a gritty texture like coffee grounds. I'm honestly very disappointed I even spent as much money on this as I did. If I could refund it I absolutely would. Definitely not like advertised what so ever, you can't even mix it smooth at all. It kept clumping and almost getting in my eyes. I'd rather stick with beard dye this is awful and super disappointing for how excited I was for finding eyebrow dye and it turned up to be a huge flop..

Not that great

I have microbladed eyebrows, which has faded. I wanted to try this at home before getting someone professional to do it (trying to save time and money). This product will tint your brows to an extent. Not as well or as dark as I would have liked. Maybe lasted 3-4 days at best. I followed directions exactly for 1st app. 2nd time I let it sit longer. Same results. If you just need something temporary, this is great. Otherwise, I would look for something else.

Reallt great natural result

I did not know what to expect with this since I’ve never tried to dye my (mostly) blonde brows before. I am not ready to commit to a permanent solution, but also am tired of looking like I have no brows every time I wash my face or spend a day at the beach because inevitably whatever I use wears off. This went perfectly. I am shocked at how good my brows look. I usually use a taupe pencil and the light brown was a perfect match for me. My skin is fair and it did not discolor at all. I had no idea something over the counter could work this well. They look very natural on their own and then I can fill them in a little if I want a more dramatic look. Super happy with this purchase

Tried and true: a great substitute for daily brow

I bought this a long time ago and used to use it successfully to darken my blondish brows. Today I found it in the back of the closet and decided to dye my brows. I forgot how well this works! Just make sure your brows are completely dry before you use it. I need to keep on a full 10 minutes. The developer has gotten a little runnier over time, but the product still worked. This used to be sold at the national drugstore chains, but I never see it anymore. It is such a nice alternative to using the brow gel I out on everyday. Recommended. Do one brow at a time. The spoolie that comes with the kit is not the best tool to apply dye; a Q-tip works better IMHO.
