A new lining, incorporated into the top front of the suit and extending down the back of the leg provides greater muscle compression for targeted areas and improves core and leg support. I bought this for my 10 year old daughter. Sheâs 5â tall and 96 lbs. We bought a womenâs size 22 and it was perfect. It wasnât too tight to where it limited her movement, but was compressing like it should be. There was no puckering at the top of the suit above the chest when she put her arms in a streamline position. There was no gap around the sides on the back where the opening is. She tried on 3 brands of 12 & under compliant kneeskin tech suits. The Arena was by far the most comfortable. The Speedo Vanquisher was comfortable everywhere except her legs where the leg openings are. They were too tight and no rubber grippers at the bottom. The TYR Thresher was comfortable except for the straps. They were the worst out of all of them that she tried on and there was ... MoreI bought this for my 10 year old daughter. She was able to put the Arena suit on by herself in about 10 minutes. Be sure to rinse the suit with cold water after each use and let it air dry on a flat surface. Surprisingly, the suit took a while to dry completely. Be sure to clip your nails and use the pads of your fingers when moving the fabric up, not your fingertips. We were in a time crunch and did the overnight shipping. It was delivered the next day as promised. My daughter dropped 11 seconds in her 200 IM, 3 seconds in her 100 back, 2 seconds in her 100 free, 1 second in her 50 free and 1 second in her 100 breast. Not sure if it was a mental thing or the tech suit or both. Either way, she dropped time.

These suites never disappoint! I have two competitive swimmers - ages 13&15, 125-130lbs, 5â7 & 5â8, both wear 26 in this suit with is 2 sizes below their practice suit size. Itâs a great middle of the road suit, not what they call a âtechie-tech suitâ like the taped seams suits they might choose to wear at a high stakes meet but an excellent suit for most competitions. My distance swimmer particularly likes this suit for the 500+ events. Each suit usually lasts them a full SC or LC season - much longer than a taped seam suit for sure. Highly recommend!

I purchased this suit for my 13 year old daughter to wear at a championship meet. She shaved time in all her events. Iâm not sure if it was the suit or just her hard work. But she said the suit was comfortable. We sized down two sizes. She normally wears a 28 and we bought a tech suit size 24. Great first tech suit purchase for her. Arena is our preferred swim suit brand.

Overall this is a fantastic choice for a first kneeskin tech suit. Even at full price it's not too bad, but they always seem to be on sale somewhere, especially if you are willing to buy the special print or bright color. Based on my daughters body type, we find that Arena suits, in general, fit her better. As to the fit of this suit. My daughter is between several sizes. Bust put her in a US 26, waist and hips put her in a 28, and the torso loop put her in a 22. After much research, information I read indicated that if your child was between sizes, choose the size that fit their hips. Therefore we went with the 28, which didn't seem unreasonable because she has the Arena ST Classic in a 28 and it fits her perfectly. Therefore we went with the 28, which didn't seem unreasonable because she has the Arena ST Classic in a 28 and it fits her perfectly. When it arrived she tried it on and thought that maybe she could have fit in the 26, but we weren't overly concerned. She raced in it that weekend and felt the suit was falling the in the crotch area. I reached out to Arena, gave them her measurements, explained how she said it felt, and asked them what size they would have recommended. They said based on what I explained, the 26 would be the size to buy. I ended up purchasing a second suit in the 26, low and behold it fit her just right. Moral of the story, if your child is between sizes and their torso loop measurement is sizes lower then their hip measurement (my daughter has long legs), start at the hip measurement and size down one.I have no regrets about buying this suit (even buying it twice - got it on sale for a fantastic deal both times), hoping that this information can help someone choose more wisely the first time.
Just got this suit for our 13YO for her championships last weekend, she wore it to practice a couple times to get used to it and was comfortable for a busy all-day meet. Good range of motion in all four strokes (sheâs an IM and breaststroker), no chafing, and she can manage getting the suit on independently. We bought one size big from the measurements on the chart because sheâs actively growing and thatâs about right. Overall one of the better suits sheâs had.
Love this tech suit. Got one years ago bright turquoise. The navy with red stitching looks great. The lines from the seams are flattering accentuating your waist and leg length. I tried another brand tech suit but had to return it do to fit as the body was too long. Iâm a bit on the short waisted side and Arena suits work great for me. Iâm 5â6â and 130 lbs. I got size 30 and am like the fit but know I should have gotten the 29 since tech suits should be significantly tighter
My daughter really loved the color (royal/aqua blue) and wanted this suit to work out for a big meet for which she needed to cut time. I loved the discounted price and quality of the suit and was hopeful for a good fit as Iâve seen several swimmers with the same suit at various meets. When I saw the item on Swim Outlet, I decided to give it a try based on the cost and reviews. My swimmer is 11 yrs. old 5â2â..97lbs with a strong, lean build. Unfortunately, the Arena Powerskin size 22 was too big. Her normal practice suits are size 24 or 26. I noted that it only took her 10 minutes to get it on with no assistance. Typically putting on a new tech suit presents a challenge taking a minimum of 30+ minutes to carefully squeeze into with help. It should feel snug to provide the needed amount of compression, but it was not. So, though the suit was nice looking, we returned it. I recommend going 2-3 sizes down for a better fit. We wonât be purchasing this particular suit again until my daughter grows a bit as the smallest size currently available is a 22. Luckily, as a backup, we also ordered a slightly less expensive tech suit in a size 22-Speedo PowerPlus Kneeskin. It was perfect (tight, but not too tight) and she cut time in every event over a three day meet.
The swimsuit fits my daughter well and she likes the design and colour. However, the thread on the lining are coming out and the sewing looks uneven. Not sure is normal. Tried asking if can be exchanged.
I bought this last-minute tech suit for a championship meet and it was awesome! Other tech suits cost sooooo much money but this one was inexpensive yet super fast. However, it does feel different than an expensive tech suit meaning it doesnât slide through the water quite as easily (but thatâs how all 12&under tech suits are designed- and why they are so much cheaper). I (5â10, 125 lbs) bought a size 26, I probably could have sized down in the body because it was so easy to put on (5-10 minutes, did it by myself no problem) but the shoulder straps were very hard to get on- I ripped the shoulder seam a little just the first time I put it on, but that was probably due to my height (still wearable and didnât affect anything). Many other people on deck were wearing the same suit, probably because of the great price AND performance. I believe that this is THE BEST DEAL for a 12&under suit, first tech suit, or last-minute suit. I would totally recommend as a starter suit because thereâs less pressure if you rip it, you can learn how to properly size it/put it on/wear it and itâs super durable. I really hope that this helped!
purchased for my daughter's final club swim meet. it is a nice looking suit. we got it about a month ago and it does have the FINA approved patch on the back. she wa able to get it on in about 8-10 minutes. (we did watch a few YOUTUBE videos which helped.) while we have only used once we have no complaints and after carefully putting on and taking off we have every reason to think it will last through high school swim season. she typically wears a size 6 and is 34C. regular 32 in SPEEDO, ARENA, UGGLIES. we sized down to a 28 and she was pleased with the comfort and performance.
