Ordering shoes or boots online can be tricky. I have found Ariat Boots come in wide width. I was able to find a pair I liked. Most cowboy style boots have pointed toes, which I cannot wear. The Roper boot has a nicely shaped toe and the toebox is a bit wider. I ordered a 7 1/2 wide and they fit me perfectly and they look great. These boots are of the highest quality and workmanship. I love them and I know I will be wearing them a lot this fall and winter. I highly recommend them for anyone who needs a wider toe box. They are super comfortable and look great.

I'm so happy that I bought these 'Heritage Ropers'! I had an old pair of Justin Ropers that I got in the early 90s and had them resoled 3x and my wife said enough, buy some new boots. Because I wear 13ee, I have a hard time finding boots that fit & ARIAT's website made it very easy for me to find a pair that fit at a reasonable price. It took about a week to break them in, now they fit like they were tailored for my big feet. At my job, I have to dress business & these boots look great with anything I wear. Not to mention, on my feet most of my shift; very comfortable and none slip for my kitchen rounds. Best boots I've ever owned, wishing I'd bought them sooner.

Purchased these boots last night, been looking for the lighter distressed color for months at seven different locations across the state. Been wearing this style since mid 90's, this would have been my fifth or sixth pair. Wore today for first time to break in at the office so I wouldn't mess up. Just walking up and down halls, nothing strenuous. Toke boots off when I got home, noticed one boot was coming apart at the seams. Needless to say I am very disappointed. I have been a loyal Ariat customer for over twenty five years without any problems. Have four other styles of ariat that I wear regularly that have held up fine, hope this isn't the future, please fix quality control please or I will have to go back to justin entirely. So what do I do now, this has been my ... MorePurchased these boots last night, been looking for the lighter distressed color for months at seven different locations across the state. I love this boot! It's comfortable, sturdy, stylish, and keeps my feet warm. Some boots allow you to feel the cold through the soles, this one does not.It took a 3-4 times wearing them for a day to break in a small part of the boot where the top of my left foot was hitting the upper portion of the boot. That was definitely an issue with the shape of my foot. The boot adjusted and now they fit like a glove.I wear a 9 or 9.5 depending on the shoe. I ordered the 9.5 and I am glad I did because my toes have plenty of room and there is room for thicker socks.I call them my "tough girl boots" -- you may or may not relate.
Just give em a try! They have the styling of a classic roper boot so they can be cleaned up for formal occasions, but they are more than durable enough to hold up against abuse. I've worn them in thick mud, freezing cold, cleaned stalls, gone fishing in them with the water past my ankle, all sorts of stuff and they just keep going. As the leather has naturally distressed and aged they've grown a personality all their own.The inner stitching around your heel is really tight at first and rubs your skin pretty bad, but once broken in they fit perfectly in the heel. The heel spreads out in such a way that it almost acts like a socket. You heel has enough room to move around, but its just tight enough that your heel wont slip out. And they allow your heel to pop out ... MoreJust give em a try! To begin, I bought these boots in my regular gym shoe and flip flop size 7. I walked around the house a bit but my pinky toe was rubbing raw and my toes in general felt compressed. The length of the boot was perfect. While I've never bought a wide boot (I have normal to thinner feet) before I decided to return for a 7 C or wide size. This boot fits perfect. I have a few pairs of a higher costing, designer, western boots but am just as happy with these at half the cost. I like the roper style heel because I have a lot of acres that need walking on our property/farm. But I don't just where them for that. They are cute with my dresses too! On a different note, I was walking around the grocery store and my children made note that my footsteps were so quiet I was like a ninja. Lol. It's true though, these are some stealthly quiet boots. Over all I give them 5 stars and with the money I saved will try out another Ariat boot in the next few months. Just remember instead of sizing up, try the wide!
I wanted a pair of western boots that would be comfortable to walk long distances in when I’m out with friends, running errands, etc. I have a pair of Laredos, but they will make my feet hurt after a while. So I did a lot of research trying to find a pair that would work well, and settled on the Ariat Heritage Ropers! At first, they were very comfortable. I broke them in around the house. But when I tried to walk for a while, they gave me blisters on my heels and pinched/hurt my toes and balls of my feet. I’ve tried moleskin, but it doesn’t help that much. I’m really sad, because I was so excited to wear these!! They’re my first pair of Ariat’s so I’m not sure what the others are like, but I hope I can find a pair that works well for my needs!
This is the third pair of Heritage Ropers I've owned from Ariat. They are amazingly comfortable and durable. The smooth-toe design lets me wear them with my uniform and they are my primary 'work shoes'. Wearing them every day to work, in all seasons, traipsing from the office to the parking lot, city streets to dirt paths, through snow and winter salt (anyone from a northern state knows the kind of nasty chemicals they use to melt all the white stuff). The only reason I needed to replace them is my lack of 'leather maintenance' this last winter (had I done my 'conditioning routine' they would've lasted even longer). My last pair was 11 years old and still looked great. My first pair lasted 10 years. This pair should take me easily through retirement...and beyond. ... MoreThis is the third pair of Heritage Ropers I've owned from Ariat. They are amazingly comfortable and durable. I ordered these Heritage Ropers (Black) as a boot to go with my pilot uniform. The fit, the look and the ergonomics of the outsole were all heavy considerations when I made the purchase. I was not disappointed. The break in time was very very short. The black leather takes a very nice shine when being polished and the rubber outsole is very important especially when walking on slippery ramps full of water, snow, ice or de-ice fluid… also the rubber outdoor takes a nice grip to the rudder pedals unlike the leather out soles. This is a comfortable simple boot at a very affordable price. I would recommend this to my pilot buddies.
These boots looks great. Simple & Clean. They take about a week to break in. They’re very stiff right out of the box. First thing I did was change the insoles with better ones to make them more comfortable, and I rubbed mink oil on them to soften them up (it will change the color to a much darker brown) which is actually what I prefer. I usually wear a 10.5 EE but these run a little big. I reccomend a half size smaller. If you’re looking for a simple inexpensive boot that gets the job done, these are a great choice. You get what you pay for. When they’re tore up, throw em away and buy another pair.
