My 11 year old daughter saw these at our local farm & country store & loved them. She didn’t stop asking me for them for like a month. So when she got a gift card to the store, as a late Christmas gift from a friend, she immediately knew what she was going to spend it on. Sadly, they didn’t have her size, so her & her dad traded the gift card & some cash so we could purchase them online 😆 She was excited to finally have these when they arrived. She says they are super comfortable, she loves the color (she got the all tan ones) & she loves how easy they are to slip on & off. She got a 1/2 size bigger so she can wear them for a while! She is very mature for her age, & takes good care of her belongings, so I have no doubt they will last long enough to get her moneys ... I received these shoes 3 days after placing the order, so shipping is fantastic! Unfortunately when I opened the box, my shoes were damaged, with some kind of stains all over them. I called customer service, spoke with Rhonda and she sent me a replacement pair, which arrived 2 days later, this pair in perfect condition. Easiest return ever!! Great customer service! Only giving 4 stars because the warehouse should inspect items before shipping them. The shoe itself is so comfortable and the cow print is so cute!! Other reviews mentioned them running small. I can wear anywhere from 7 1/2 to an 8 and purchased an 8. They fit great, so if you’re in between sizes like that, go with the larger size. Attaching pictures of damage and pics of the replacement.

I bought these to try something new and light for travel since I LIVE in my Ariat boots. They are cute but contrary to everyone saying they are true to size…. I didn’t feel that way. I ordered a 10 (that’s what I wear in boots and other shoes through the years). These dug into my ankle a little too much without much give. :/ I’d return them but I find shipping returns to be inconvenient. Am contemplating trying a half size up if they even make it.

absolutely love my Hilo’s, super comfy and light. I had to order a second pair. As a dedicated customer of Ariat. 66 pairs and adding to collection. I will continue to educated others of the history of Ariat. I sold Ariat at 3 Western Stores. I told my customers. “If your going to wear Ariat you have to know the brand, the meaning of the horseshoes, most important the meaning of the name and how to pronounce it.”
Cute design and very light but so uncomfortable to wear!I'm usually never disappointed with Ariat's boots and shoes. Never had any problems with discomfort, even when breaking new ones in. These on the other hand caused blisters on the back of my feet. Everytime I walked, I can feel it digging into my foot. It didn't matter what type of sock I used, the problem still occured. I had used these on vacation and required a lot of walking. Although they were comfortable on the sole, walking became nearly unbearable with the constant rubbing on the back. I ended up having to put bandaids on just to avoid more irritation but only gave minor relief. Based on other reviews, this seems to be a common issue.
I love these shoes. I wish there were more patterns of this style in the woman’s size 12. These shoes are extremely comfortable. I do factory work 10 hour shifts and my feet finally don’t hurt at the end of my shift. I’m so glad I found these. I do normally wear a shoe size 11 but the 11’s in this style(a different color but same style) were just to short so in my opinion you do have to size up. The size 11 is a 41.5 size and I normally wear a 42 eu sizing. I also can by the men’s size 9.5 and they are comfortable as well. I have bought 6 pair of Ariat shoes in the last 5 months and love them all. Style and comfort… perfect! If you’re on the fence about purchasing a pair, just do it you won’t be sorry.

Then when on I could feel the back of the heel wasn’t straight, but leaned hard into the back of my foot, which would have caused a nasty blister if I had tried wearing them. The toebox was also too tight. There’s no way I could wear these comfortably, and I had to exchange for a size up (no half sizes available). Not sure what happened with these shoes, as I own several pairs of western boots and slip-on shoes from Ariat, and they all fit just right! I’ve worn out a few pairs of Ariat boots over the years. All the same size that I ordered in these shoes… and when I held them up to one of my new pairs of slip-on shoes for comparison, I could even see ... I previously ordered a size 8 after printing and using the size guide. The shoes fit perfectly and were immediately the most comfy shoes I owned. Because I loved them, I ordered again, also a size 8, and the second pair is at least two sizes too small. They’re definitely not a size 8, even though they’re labeled an 8. I’m super disappointed. The return policy states that they don’t do exchanges, so if I return them and buy different ones, I’ll probably lose the great price I got on them over the weekend.
Great Looking Shoes! However, I didn't find them to be true to size. I am normally an 8.5 thus ordered such. My toes were at the end of shoe! Had to return the 8.5, and repurchase Size 9. Giving them a 5 Rating as the shoes are really cute! Just wish I hadn't relied on the reviews. Thought they would fit like a Hey Dude shoe, not so in my case. My Dudes are a Size 8, but keep in mind that some of the Hey Dudes run a bit big. Could be why I can pull off an 8 in them. This purchase was a tough one for me, as I didn't know how Ariat Hilo shoes would run size wise. Glad I didn't give up and decided to try the 9. Size 9 are good.
I was so surprised when I first tried on this shoe! Actually, I had tried one on previously, but thought it was too small. Welllllll, these start out tight, but loosen up quickly. I normally wear a 9.5, but sized up to a 10 in these to wear with socks. They still fit great, and although loose, don't fall off my feet. However, I would not be able to wear these without socks because they would be too big. I thought I would try some hey dudes, but was horribly disappointed in the lack of comfort and structure when I tried them. I looked around for something else, and found these. Wow! These are cushy underfoot, and have structure. My somewhat wider foot fits well, too. They're a win!
