I've been wearing Birkenstocks for years and constantly tried to persuade my other half to get a pair. Typically, after speaking with our son in law who wears them, hubby asked for these as a birthday gift! Very lovely leather, they will last ages. As typical for this style, size down by 1. How can you fault this footwear?? There is no comparison I’m afraid. The quality, comfort and high standards met by Birkenstock to deliver such a comfortable yet hardwearing sandle is second to none. This is my second pair in 5 years and I will not buy any other brand. Maintain the tradition guys, you’re on a winner 👍

Birkenstock sandals, along with Levi's 501s and Ray Ban Wayfarers, have been a mainstay of my wardrobe for as long as I can remember.I've worn my Birkenstocks in all weathers and to all occasions and they invariably draw approving looks; however, never wear with socks.I think the Arizona Habana variety are the most stylish. The leather naturally fades with the weather and wear, and they gain the appearance that only a well faded pair of 501s can match.I keet two pairs constantly on the go. One newish pair for a slightly more formal occasion; a well worn and faded pair for the beach and sundowner beers.Birkenstocks: forever stylish and cool. Fortunately for me, every few years I become trendy again without even trying.

Nice sandals but unfortunately Office do not specify the width required. I was sent a narrow fit sandal but there was no way of saying what I wanted, which was a wide fit. So they had to be returned. Bad website management? I bought a pair about 18 months ago, and again, no width specified. I got lucky with those and was sent a wide fitting. Weird.

Last year I also got Arizona's but in a brown leather which I still love but the black just feels so much more fashionable. I love the fit - I'm wide at the toes and also have a high arch so finding sandals that fit that aren't "grandma shoes" is a struggle. I take my normal size (9/40). I chose to size down for the first pair I got (mayari style) on recommendation and although they were still the most comfortable shoes I'd worn to date, by the end of the season my feet had split the cork at the widest part so I decided to go my normal size next time around. I always thought birkis were about the ugliest shoe you could get…but then I got old and I’m all about the comfort now.I have very flat feet so the anatomical footbeds in these sandals are very good for me straight off the bat. And the brown leather coupled with copper coloured buckles is a winner in my books. Totally converted Birkenstock fan right here!Yes, they do run large. I’m normally a 43 but went with 42’s in these and they work for me however I would recommend trying on in person to get the right fit if at all possible.
Using these as my house slippers. The previous ones I had (also Birks) disintegrated after many years of use. I was so happy with them that I decided to get Birks again.The sippers are unmatched in quality (made in Germany, duh!) and are super comfortable. Note that there's about a week long break-in period and they will not feel great at first, so just be cognizant of that. One week later and they fit like a glove. Make sure you use the size chart provided on the Birkenstock website and actually take the time to measure your feet properly - it'll go a long way in making sure you'll be satisfied with them for many years to come.
Love love love these Birkenstocks.I've previously had a pair I wore nearly every day for 3 years. Decided to get a new pair recently. Not because they're worn down, (quite far from it!) but because of the big sizes.These always run big, HUGE! I'm usually a UK 8.5/ 9 but I've gone for a 7.5 because the old ones I felt were always a little too big. These new ones fit perfectly. **5 STARS**
Purchased for my boyfriend as a present. These sandals are excellent quality and definitely worth spending that little bit extra for, as they're really comfy, an excellent fit, and they really feel very long-lasting.I was worried about Birkenstock sizing and so I purchased two sizes to compare, and the return process was really straightforward.
