Replacing a pair my kids got for me a few years ago. I do love them in silver, they’re very versatile. I will admit the silver cracked a little after a few years but I wore them a lot. I’m still breaking these in, I had the ones that go in between the big toe so I’m getting g used to these. A little stiff at first.

I find. Birkenstocks to be rigid and uncomfortable. I bought a pair last year and hardly wore them because of the hard plastic they use to go in between your toes. So when I bought a new pair the other day I returned them a day later thinking “why spend more $ on a bad product”. I don’t get why their so popular when they are so uncomfortable

So I was hesitant to order these given the mixed reviews with sizing. The red (which is currently on sale) came back in my size so I decided to go for it, and I'm glad I did! I have pretty narrow feet as it is, so the sizing of these work for me. That said though, they obviously don't work for everyone's feet. I typically wear a 7.5 so I ordered a EU 38 and they fit me perfectly. My feet are snug in there. I plan to start slowing breaking them in but my initial reaction is that they're really comfortable. I have collapsed arches so my feet hurt after awhile; I have a feeling these will provide at least some comfort! The Arizona normally comes in the “wide” Birkenstock width; narrow is *not* the default.Their statement, which proposes the narrow as the new default, only adds to the tall skinny athletic outdoor woman stereotype of the outdoor industry. This is disappointing. I’m quite close to the outdoor athletic climber stereotype, and I even have average to narrow feet, but this narrow is too narrow.I love REI (I give them soo much $$). This is my first pair and I'm anxiously anticipating when they are broken in. I usually buy a cushy type of sandal/shoe but keep coming back to these for the cute style. It's the exact look I wanted I almost purchased Dansko sandals that look like Birks but are a cushier footbed. In the end, I preferred the color in the Birkenstock. I chose the mocha with the rose gold buckles. These will be my go to sandals this summer so I hope I chose right. I'll give 5 stars because I know they are quality but I'm still unsure how supportive or comfortable they will be wearing all day. Wish me luck!! Happy Birthday to me!! Btw, I'm 58. Old feet!! Arizona sandals are unisex - both men and women buy them. (Ditto for all Birkenstocks, although some styles are more likely to be purchased by women or men.) They're sized EU 35-46, and they come in "Narrow" (filled in footprint) or "Regular" (open footprint) width. It is NOT true that Narrow is good for everyone who wears a B width, as your website says. I wear a B and I own many pairs of Birkenstocks, all Regular width. Purchased four pairs of jeans from Urban. Kept one. Urban saying they never got one of the pairs back. Now they have flagged my account. It’s absurd on many levels because they can see through tracking and weight that the items were returned. It’s more principal of the thing at this point, because frankly I think I’ve outgrown what Urban has to offer and prefer Girls of Dust and You Must Create. Just annoying though, that they can do this to a decades’ long customer.
They are Birkenstocks, need I say more? They are comfortable, stylish and lightweight. Break them in by wearing them around the house a couple times and you are good to go. I tend to make the foot area wider than needed during the break-in period. Since these are metallic the leather is a bit harder than other birkenstocks.
Sad these have to get returned. I’m a huge Birk lover and have 5 pairs. I wanted a new black slide. This new leather is rough and painful. It’s not the old soft leather that doesn’t need much breaking in. I bought a second pair in hopes I just got a bogus pair but they both are stiff and rough so both have to get returned. Bummer but hopefully they change it back to the old style!
The sandals arrived in a completely torn apart box, though the actual sandals appear to be fine. They were a gift for our teenage girl so it's kind of janky to have such a destroyed box - they're all into unboxing videos now (yeah, that's totally silly but whatever). I tried to tape it back together but it was hopeless. for $140 I think it would have been nice to have the item in a new box. If these were a returned item, it would be nice to not have been charged $140.
