It's essential to note that the official servers have been shuttered. I'd strongly advise against purchasing this game unless you intend to play online with a friend on a private or unofficial server, or in single-player mode. The game did indeed have its fair share of bugs, glitches, and frequent lag problems.However, none of these issues really matter when you're part of a wonderful community and have incredible friends like the ones I had the privilege of meeting, even if it was only for around half a year. I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to game with than those I met on server 1040. Farewell, ARK, and here's to hoping you'll be just as enjoyable, if not even more so, as you continue to evolve. <3

Best game ever. So much to do. If you can see it in your head you can build it. Dino taming or breeding. Hunting end fishing, dino and magical beasts. Had the game 4 years now a rarelyplay anything else! Btw. Check out the rubblr battle ducky my son mady in the pics. Lol.

I love Ark.So much gameplay and interaction with other gamers. There are a variety of maps to choose from which is great. My favourites are Ragnarok and The Centre.You can join a tribe or go solo and build, tame and raid until your heart is content!The building / crafting system and menu are pretty straightforward. The grind is a little OTT sometimes, but worth it when you have a great base established. Not so worth it though when five minutes later your base is wiped by another tribe! Lol. For those that dont want their progress to be destroyed there is a PVE mode and for those a little more adventurous there is PVP. This game has had me hooked, no lie. I’ve played 1000+ hours, and not just because! The game is intense, has multiple DLC and if you are playing vanilla, requires tons of time and grinding to do the story. Now the reason for only 3 stars. Wildcard has a really hard time with updating, fixing bugs, and correcting issues. It seems every update put out causes a new problem. At least on PS4, the game blue screens relentlessly, lags, etc. the biggest thing is you gotta be patient if you want to play this game… or else. Adding a goofy screenshot from the game because why not :)

Who doesn’t love dinosaurs? This game is hours of fun. Sometimes I step away for a few months and then come back and play again for long stretches of time. My husband, daughter, and I all play together. I like to tame the Lystrosaurus (I call them “happy dudes” because they dance when you pet them). I feel this game is a more advanced game of Minecraft, but with dinosaurs. It does have some down sides though on occasion like the game crashes or sometimes glitches, but I still think its worth playing.

Love this game! It took me a while to get a good grip on it but once you do it’s fun. I loved the process of building everything from the ground up. I loved having to catch the Dino’s. It’s a frustrating process but it’s fun. Building was one of my favorite things to do in this game. There’s so much you can do with builds. I love the process of mating Dino’s as well. I used to love the special events where the Dino’s would come in certain colors. Very exciting to see the color schemes. So I actually have this game for the pc, not ps4. However, I still wanted to review it. The game is actually still being finished, its still not complete, but I love it. My boyfriend downloaded it when they first started letting people buy it and try it out. Then after watching him I decided I needed to try it out. I love survival style games. Well it is awesome! It's like Jurassic park because you get to take all these awesome dinos. It's so cool because you can build your base however you want and even mate your dinos. I've had so much fun and I've logged so many playing hours. I can't wait til they finalize the storyline! I highly recommend this game to anyone who likes survival style games. This game is so fun! My boyfriend and I will occasionally buy our own survers so we don't have to worry about other gamers taking over our bases. Id say its worth it because then you can lock it so others cant get on to wreck your base and kill your dinos. Adding the different mods to the gameplay is pretty sweet too. You can increase the rate of taming so it doesn't take as long to tame a dino. Thats really useful! There's multiple maps to play on. That's really fun getting to play the different ones.

Ark Survival is SO MUCH FUN to play. 5 -stars.

Ark Survival - On the negative side, the game does not allow you to reload a saved game. Upon your death, (killed by dino, etc) you will respawn to a random location, no clothes, no weapons and no inventory. Best advise, is to quickly create a storage chest and leave stuff there for when you die and respawn. Also the game is a split screen when playing with family friends on same location (sofa) and the text in game is small and difficult to read on even the largest tv screen. On the positive side, it is SOOO much fun to play. Graphics are good. Game is entertaining. Quickly addictive. Love it.

Great game based off of work and achievement

First off, this game is immersive and addictive. I originally bought it while it was still in early development, like most of the people leaving comments here. I read the comments with regards to the developers and the product bugs. Until the middle of August 2017 the game was in an early release for the sake of development. This game was in early development for 2 years! Yes, there were many bugs and fixes along the way, causing frustrations, however, that's mainly from PVPers. What the negative Nancy's don't tell you is that they still play the game because it is so awesome. Everyone's initial reaction, once the game is loaded, is one of awe. Based on the number of youtube.com videos, you can see there is still a thriving community and love for this game.
