Mounted under soffit and in 18 months plastic lens has disintegrated. False alarms every time the wind blows and has very short detection range
I have bought two of these lights and they keep blowing the globes very unhappy with it😡😡
The PIR lens sensors are not made to last in Australian conditions. All my Arlec sensor light's lens plastic disintegrated within 2 to 3 years (outside of warranty and no they were not in sunlight). Arlec doesn't stock replacement lenses and lenses are hard to find elsewhere. Arlec said they would not replace the units. Essentially the entire unit has to be thrown out. To be fair most other brands have the same problem. Built-in obsolesces of their products. It becomes an expensive process to buy new units, and pay for an electrician to remove and install them.
Nice light but the Sun destroyed the UV sensitive plastic cover of the Sensor after a year.
