I have bought this oil heater as an alternative to using the split air con, as i think its saving a bit more using it than split system. This is a very affordable nd very quiet, energy efficient, moreover, keeps a master bedroom in moderate temperature during these cold winter night

Maybe my expectations from an oil heater were too high but unfortunately for me it just did not work. Starts well but there is a timer for the 1000 watt setting of 10 mins according to its manual so after 10 mins it falls to medium heat which wasn't sufficient for me. The room was 3 x 3 for context. I did dry a matt on it and noticed that the cold matt made it switch into higher setting again but that only lasted till the matt got dry.All in all great price but no point if the heating is just not sufficient.

Great heater for my bedroom; works far better than Bar or Blow heaters, with the added bonus of being able to keep the door closed, thus keeping the heat from escaping. The only drawback is the wheels which don't seem to 'lock in' like regular castors and easily fall out when wheeled on the carpet.

Oil residual was found underneath the controller where the legs attach when opened the box. attached legs and turned on for an hour. Pool of oil found under the unit on the tiled floor. Lucky it was not on the carpet. Carton had no sign of damage. Absolute waste of time & money with this unit. Would never buy ARLEC brand.
G'day all.So I did my research for a cheap and good oil heater for value. Found this Arlec 1500w 7 fin oil heater and its a bang for buck.Its 3 settings obviously has its different wattage output so depending how hot you desire it. I did see some negative feedback from other buyer's but look aslong it has warranty you can't go wrong.If you read the instruction manual it tells you into details about everything including the first time start up and it's fume smell (in another words the powder coating smell)...in which it doesn't last long.Also the relay clicker is not as loud as other previous heaters I've owned.I hope my 5 cents helps you before purchasing.
Bought two. One for me and one for my elderly mum. They both work great. You may need to buy an extension lead though as the cord is not that long. Otherwise, I recommend this product.
I just bought this heater but I for the life of me can’t figure out how to use it!!I can’t seem to balance the thermostat and the timer and the red indicator lights turn on once in a while.Clearly I’m doing something wrong! So some user advice would be much appreciated!

Excellent heater. We purchased this to keep the baby's room warm, and it does this perfectly. Infact it warms the whole of the back of the house. Very simple to use, and assembly is a breeze. Highly recommend.
