DO *NOT* BOTHER BUYING IF YOU EXPECT TO USE THE CONTINUOUS LIGHT MODE. There are supposed to be TWO Modes (as on the package) which can operate dusk to dawn: (1) a low level light from dusk turning up to full brightness upon detection by the motion sensor and (2) a continuous fully bright light from dusk until dawn OR until the battery runs flat. Modes are selected using a button on the back of the light unit itself and typically this will be mounted fairly high up on a wall. This light does NOT have two actual modes - just the one mode plus a party trick. AVOID. I now have 2 holes in my wall and no light to hang. On calling Arlec support line they did not want to know and hung up.

This light has to be one of the best solar lights. Bought one 6 months ago while touring Australia as an awning light just strapped to the awning extension bar with a couple of elastic straps and makes a great entry light at the front of camp. I have since purchased a second one to put at the other end with two running the entire awning area can be lit up. Also handy as a portable light with stand when required. Batteries last all night.

I bought these to put in my horse paddocks and they are fantastic. The low option works great and denser picks up movement and then lights up very brightly. It is mounted to a timber fence post. The last all night in this setting. Will be buying more
