Bought two, both connected to a mirrabella Genio without issue, however, the battery clearly states 'Do not recharge', using the cable supplied does not recharge the unit anyway. Was unable to detect motion but it may be due to me using another hub.Product packaging and quality is good and may work if you buy into the Arlec range.

I have spent several hours testing and playing around with various Grid Connect App commands and have come to the following conclusions for my final opinion:With my SG023HA movement sensor, movement is picked up immediately BUT there is a 35 second delay after motion has ceased for ‘No Motion’ to be detected. Initially, I thought this would not be a problem, HOWEVER, if you add ‘delays’ or countdowns in the actions, undesirable things appear to happen if you wish to simply turn a light ON if there’s motion and OFF if there’s no Motion. eg Actions don’t happen when you want or don’t happen at all etc. The only simple way I could see to get around this was to create two automations:One with an Action to switch the light ON, when movement IS detected and . . .One ... MoreI have spent several hours testing and playing around with various Grid Connect App commands and have come to the following conclusions for my final opinion:With my SG023HA movement sensor, movement is picked up immediately BUT there is a 35 second delay after motion has ceased for ‘No Motion’ to be detected. Fortunately, in my situation, this is just tolerable.I hasten to add, I have had no such problems with the old SGS02HA motion sensors which have proven to be very flexible and very reliable. (However, the battery does have to be replaced now and again.) In my opinion, the new SG023HA sensors should be discontinued in favour of the old SGS02HA sensors.PS: I’ve been running the SG023HA sensor plugged into an old 5V phone charger with the battery removed without any problems. If I have no power, the sensor won’t work BUT neither will the light I wish to control.A quick search on the internet confirms the CR123A batteries used in this sensor are single use, non rechargeable. The current drawn by the sensor is so low, I was unable to read it. Therefore, given the 1600mAh capacity of these batteries, the sensor could possibly run for years on the battery alone; if you wish to run it that way.Accordingly, as I mentioned in my previous review, the micro USB port is NOT a charging port, just an alternate way of powering the sensor.

Can't get it to detect movement at night. Also unable to pair to Grid Connect app without the power Hub, then when power Hub is off doesn't work

works as it should. greeat produc tot make your home smart for cheap. make sure oyu get the smart home hub though.
Still testing this unit but it appears to work OK. Does not have an LED to indicate it has been triggered which is a little disappointing but probably a 'power saving' feature. There appears to be a 30 second delay after motion has been detected until the unit changes back to 'No Motion' - this is probably OK. Other reviewers have mentioned that the battery states 'Do Not Recharge'. The micro USB port is NOT a charging port. The unit will work without the battery when connected to a USB power plug. The battery appears to be their just for pack-up purposes in case of a power failure. Given the size of the battery and the fact that the unit draws almost zero Amps, the battery may last for ages (yet to be proven).
On the back of the box it states that a Bluetooth hub is required (SG120HA or SG121HA) however both of these hubs are no longer sold at Bunnings or anywhere. Therefore unless you already have the hub this product is completely useless.
Pros: Easy to setup, look great on the wallCons: You need a hub which bunnings doesnt sell individually2-3 second delay to trigger lights after sensor picks up movement
Have had 2 of these now and both have been returned as the the charger port won't take the charger cord provided. It's like the port is not close enough to the outter case for the charger to go in like it should.
I bought a Smart Home Control Kit and an extra motion sensor. The first one would pair but wouldn't connect and appeared as though its battery was flat - although no alert for that appeared.Returned it to Bunnings and got a replacement that while it would pair and connect it wouldn't do anything other just send alerts that motion had been detected. Sometimes, but mostly not, it would complete the automation tasks I had entered. If you are buying these products as toys then that is OK but I by no means would rely on them security purposes. They are the price of a toy - so you get what you pay for!I have returned the additional motion sensor and will treat the other units in the kit as toys.
