I fully recommend!

Update (7/22): Arlo Support will NOT honor their warranty. My camera is without question defective and I've followed all Arlo Support requests and nothing has worked. The camera is without question dead after 3 months. I've not heard back from Arlo Support in over 48 hrs. I doubt I will ever get a replacement. I strongly recommend you chose a camera from a different company. That's what I'm going to have to do. Update (7/18): Camera died after 3 months. Customer support just kept telling me to connect the camera via the app which it wouldn't do. The camera wouldn't do anything and apparently you can't call them. I absolutely love these cameras! My kids are home a lot by themselves so being able to pop in and see what they are doing and talk to them through the camera is one of the main features I love about them! I have one on my front porch as well so being able to see if anyone is coming in or out my house and who may be at the door since I don’t have a peep hole is also nice. The night vision has very good quality and can be in color with the spotlight. However, the spotlight makes the battery die faster. I’m glad my apartments have a light on the porch at night so it isn’t always coming on at night. I got a set of 4 but only needed 2 so I gave the other 2 to my boyfriend for his house. I would definitely recommend these cameras to anyone! Definitely worth it!

Selective notifications would be a really great upgrade. The camera itself was awkward to get to connect initially, and while simple to install the bracket to the wall, getting the camera onto the bracket once that was on the wall is a bit of a pain so I'm concerned about when I'll have to recharge the battery. However it does appear that the battery life is very long, so I should only have to do that on rare occasions. The picture really is super clear and it picks up sound well too. I would have liked a slightly better angle of view, but it is not bad at all. I do really like too that you can turn off the spotlight so it isn't going off all the time potentially further draining the battery or giving away the location of the device and potentially inviting vandalism.

Yesterday I moved this camera from my living room to my laundry room and it picked up NO ACTIVITY at all until 901pm! So prior to 901pm the last activity recorded was at 446pm. Please believe that there were things going on that the Arlo should have recoded too! I was in and out all evening and my laundry room is right next to my garage entry door so at the VERY LEAST it should have recorded the sound of me coming and going. I didn’t check my camera because it’s a brand new camera and there was no reason for it to malfunction or just not operate at all. They charge above market pricing vs competition due to this feature. Fast forward not even 6 years later they notify customers that the product support will be phased out, including the cloud storage. At the beginning of January 2023 they gave us a 3-month period to scramble for alternatives. They ask you to pay for upgrades that are not necessary at all. If not, the product become bricks. Due to overwhelming criticism they have pushed the deadline back for another few months. This is not the kind of company that you should trust to protect your assets. Well after searching for a solution to the problem online it turns out this is a common issue with this camera. Don't get it.
