Armada Baking Paper 50m

Poor packaging. This is great baking paper and really good value. This is the first time I have tried the 50m roll and the big let down is the packaging. It seems like lots of effort has gone into making it sturdy but it is not user friendly. The serrated edge is sharp enough to carry a warning. But you have to get your hand past it to grab the edge of the roll. It needs to be the same as the smaller rolls and located at the front bottom of the box to allow safer, easier access.

Great baking paper. I’m happy with this product, and positively surprised. It did the job just as good as the well known brands and didn’t bake into my stuff like the last non-brand I used. The cutter on the inside of the box took some getting used to, but I’m happy it’s no longer getting stuck and rip off in my drawer, and it’s now my favourite thing about this product! Price wise, I’m happy to pay for it and will buy this in the future. It’s the same price/ a couple of cents cheaper than the big brands, however I do feel like that’s going to make it hard to market. Why would people pay to try a new homebrand item, if they can get their tried and tested brand for the same price, or next to nothing extra?

The product comes out easily from the packaging and it's not a herculean task to tear off. I have not (yet) undergone significant stress tests to see at what point it self-combusts but for my last couple of cookups I used it and it was fine. It is at a good price point, and, currently on special at 40%, it represents fantastic value for money. However... The Bad: the baking paper I usually get is unbleached & chlorine free. It is also sourced from European plantation forests, so it is not impacting on our native rainforests. THINK OF THE PLANET PEOPLE. Conclusion: I'll have this baking product in my pantry until I'm old and grey and using it in the apocalypse. I look forward to it's continued longevity and feeling like I don't have to skimp on baking paper, cos heck - I have 50m of it. I don't think it is good enough to convince me to permanently change to this product (as I care about the environment and like to take responsibility for the effect my choices have... unless there is an epic sale) however I do think it is a good match for similar products.

Good cheap option. I found this to be a good standard product. I used it for lining baking trays and it did it's job perfectly. I have an electric oven so don't know how it would go with an open flame. It's a bit flimsy but that makes it easier to mould around cake pans. In the past I've only ever used the cheapest home brand option that comes as a roll without a box and cutter edge, so I'm used to just ripping paper off as needed. It was weird to have a cutter edge but I'm guessing that's just what fancier people do! Kind of nice to be part of the fancy crew for 50meters of baking paper.

Needs a lot of improvement. I had been purchasing the Select brand baking paper which I loved however this has been discontinued so I bought a pack of the Armada expecting it to be of similar quality. Sadly it was not. My first issue is the 'handy' sticker that is not handy at all - in fact it wraps around the whole roll of baking paper to wrap over on itself and trying to remove it I ripped the roll. I then had to peel it off backwards and a little bit stuck. Why is it so long? Also it doesn't really peel off clean/easily. Please fix this up to reduce the size of the sticker and make it not rip the roll in trying to get it off. I've previously used baking paper to make my Orchid Muffin cases but I would not be using this Armada version as the grainy cheap appearance doesn't look at all appealing. The only saving grace is that I've still got 2 new rolls of the Select version in the cupboard. I've also kept my old box from the Select baking paper which I'm now using and I will use the Armada baking paper for things that have grease and will save the Select version for my fancy muffin cases. I think if you could please address the quality, texture, appearance, sticker, the box then you could have a great product. But considering the price for this is comparable to other well known brands I think I might be looking elsewhere and won't be buying this again.

Well priced product that works. I hate scrubbing trays so I use baking paper on pretty much everything that goes into the oven. The Armada paper is priced well considering it’s a generous size and will last for ages, even for high volume users like me. I have been using this product for some time now and it works exactly as it should. So far, it has managed to absorb any grease and not let it sink through to the tray. It also doesn’t seem to get as dark in the oven as other brands I have used. The only (minor) criticism I have is the packaging, as the tab has to be lifted out each time you open the box. Having said that, if this design actually keeps the box intact until the roll is finished, then I will happily retract my only criticism.

5 Star Product. I use baking paper a lot. Basically, I hate washing up and cleaning . I line baking trays, dishes and even wrap sandwiches for the sandwich toaster with baking paper! Makes clean up a cinch! So, I was excited to try this product and was not disappointed. The packaging was clear and does it's job. Opening the box was easy and the paper itself rips cleanly and easily. We've already used it twice today! We had toasties for lunch, and my daughter baked a batch of red velvet cookies this afternoon. This will definitely be a product I'll buy again!

My favourite baking paper. I do a lot of baking and buy this by the truckload. Good price compared to others. Good packaging that's functional. The paper is sturdy enough to reuse after a wipeover if my cookies have left only a few crumbs. I never buy any other brand unless it's on special and therefore cheaper.

Great all-round performer. I usually use the Aldi brand baking paper, and I’ve started baking cakes somewhat professionally, so I was really looking forward to trying this product. I really loved the sturdy box and cutting edge on this product. I’ve always struggled to use the cutting edge on any box, whether it be aluminium foil, cling wrap or baking paper. The packaging was very easy to use. The yellow colour also makes it stand out on the shelf-it was very easy to spot. So far I have used this paper to bake banana bread, pavlova, vegetables, garlic bread and rolled out pastry between it. I even used it to make grilled cheese in the sandwich press (to save myself from having to clean the appliance).
