Armada Freezer Bags Large 40 Pack

Very cold bags, haha. I use these all the time. Not entirely sure what makes them a "freezer bag" though? If anyone knows, please leave me a comment But these are great bags. I've never had a heat seal on the bottom fail on me, or have a bag tear (at what's usually the most inopportune time, lol). I must admit I don't often use the twist ties. I find them too fiddly, and much prefer a quick airtight seal I can get simply by twisting and tying a top knot, or using a bag clip. I appreciate the option of them being there, but at the same time I already have 3 or 4 of these strips in the kitchen drawer doing nothing, haha They're a good price and sometimes use these in the school lunch bag because sometimes ziplocks and cling film are simply overrated. Quite sturdy bags. Thank you bunch for this sample of generic freezer bags. I usually purchase freezer bags that have the ziplock, so I wasn’t if I would like these. I remember my parents using similar ones when I was young. This freezer bags come in at 60c for 80 bags which is a great price! They come with a twist tie, which we did not use, as we just knotted the bag. We had trouble opening the pack. We did NOT see the perforation ( could this please be made white) and went straight to opening the side of the pack were when you pulled one… they ALL came out, and in a mess! We saw the perforation after ‍♀️The plastic bags themselves are actually thicker than I thought they would be and kind of looked frosted. Good Freezer Alternative. I generally shy away from plastic bags wherever and whenever possible now so usually use containers to freeze anything I need to. However I gave them a go. Very cheap which is the first plus. Size-wise they are very generous. Not sure I'd call them medium, more like large, but that's a bonus. Don't need to buy large ones becasue these can cover most options from small to large very easily and without the need for lots of different sized products. They seemed quite thin, but no different to other freezer bags I've seen in the past. However the thinness belies how strong and durable they are. No issues with any tearing or holes. The second plus was that by removing the air and sealing them the bag takes up heaps less room in the freezer than if I'd put them in a container. With such a small freezer that we have this definitely helps create more room and better air flow between frozen products to save the freezer icing up when over-stocked. Haven't used them for long enough to see whether less or no freezer burn but so far looking good with no ice crystals inside the bag. Overall the price, size and convenience means these get a big thumbs up from me. I would probably not buy them very often but the ones I currently have will come in very handy and help when I don't need a large container for smaller items. I like the idea too of using them to help portion items so they don't stick together in the container and are easier to separate and defrost.

Flimsy & cheap. I purchased these freezer bags, they were not a sample. While not my preferred brand of freezer bags, when nothing else is available you make do. I prefer to freeze my food in ziploc bags. The freezer bags are on the thinish side of things, I would prefer them a bit thicker to make the bags sturdier when storing meat & chicken. The bag comes with twist ties, which I never use. Size of the bags are good, these are classed as medium 35cm x 25cm. These bags are a bargain price of 0. 60 cents, compared to brand name bags which cost over $2. 00 for the same amount of bags. Made in Thailand , not sure why these can’t be made in Australia . Not a product I would buy regularly, but if it’s the only option available to me, then I’m sure I can deal with it.

Good quality freezer bags. I’ve bought home brand freezer bags before and thought never again! They were thin, poorly made and I put my finger through them in no time. So I switched to the more expensive branded bags and loved them. But if Bunch has taught me anything, it’s that the Woollies brand is often as good as, if not better than the more known and expensive brands. So I tried the Armada bags and they are excellent, just as good as the more expensive freezer bags and less than half the price. They are strong and robust bags and come with ties. The packet has a little tear off area where you can access the bags easily and I found this superior to the branded bags. Excellent product Woollies.

They are Made in Thailand which is preferable to being made in China, and is the reason I have purchased this brand in the past. I always go on about wanting products manufactured or grown in Australia, but for something like this, a non essential, a plastic bag, I am OK with it being made in Thailand, though obviously it would be preferable if a manufacturer in Australia could produce these from recycled materials - it’s a long journey from Thailand to Australia. I cut the end off the packet before I noticed the “tear here” serrations at the top. My fault, but maybe a more obvious “tear here to open” might be helpful. I agree with others who say that it is difficult to dispense only one bag at a time. These bags serve the purpose, work well enough, and are handy for many uses despite being labelled as freezer bags.

They seem quite thin when you first feel them, but I've never had one tear or break so they are clearly quite robust. They are also a generous size, so most items fit in easily and it avoids the need for a drawer full of different sized bags!I love the little 'half circle' opening in the top. It's easy to access and avoids the bags all falling out when you first open the packaging. The contents are still easy to remove one-by-one, so this is a definite winner for me. In my house these bags are used for freezing meat / fruit pieces and bakery items, transporting 'potential leaks' (such as yoghurt tubs, watermelon pieces in tupperware and fruit puree) in school lunchboxes and also did double-duty as bags for small toys when the kids were a little younger (beyond the 'put everything in your mouth' age). My only complaint with this product is the country of origin (Thailand). I would much prefer to buy a locally sourced product (this explains the 'lost star' in my rating). Otherwise, I'm really happy and will continue to purchase.

We have limited room in our freezer so I prefer to put the pie filling in a zip lock bag and flatten them out so they take up very little room.
