Armada Select Aluminium Foil Heavy Duty 30m

Great strong foil. I found this difficult to find in store as my local supermarket does not stock this sized roll. I did find it in another supermarket and found it easy to find on the shelf. I like the packaging and the design of the box, easy to tear off foil and store away. It is a much bigger size than I would ever usually buy but value for money for such a good product makes this very economical all things considered. I really like the foil itself, nice and strong, good for a wide use of cooking purposes that we use foil for. I was really impressed with the quality and think it stands up well to other more expensive products. A Great Bulk Buy. Been using 'Armada' foil ever since it took over from the 'Select' brand and have not had any problems with it. So I was pretty excited to receive this fab bulk roll in my samples. As the foil is quilted it is strong enough for all my cooking needs. The box is nice and sturdy and the cutting blade produces a nice clean straight cut that sometimes can create waste when using another cheaper brand on the market. Notice the quilt pattern on the foil matches the pattern on the box. I use this foil for covering oven bakes to prevent burning the tops, baked potatoes, and wrapping the fabulous garlic bread. Sometimes I use it for freezing leftovers too. So many uses. The box and tube is recycled but in our council the foil, if cleanish, can be rolled up ... MoreA Great Bulk Buy. It comes in a heavy duty box with plastic roller inserts that let the foil glide out smoothly and evenly. The cutter works well, making the foil easy to tear off in a nice straight line. The foil itself is of a good strong quality, although just a little thinner than some other well-known branded ones. Heavy Duty Foil. I'm so impressed by this product. Its thick, sturdy, durable and excellent value for money. I love that its available in wider sizes as well. The edge is sharp and easy to use when tearing the foil off the roll. The embossing makes it look nice and reinforces it. I really like the fact the box has little opening slots that can be resealed as it saves you cutting your fingers/hands on an open serrated edge when grabbing the roll from the draw. It also means I dont have to fight with a cardboard serrated pull tab when opening the roll that always breaks off half way down the rip tab and leaves you fighting with it or using a knife which well lets face it never ends well! The little sticky tabs at the start of the roll were also easy to remove and didn't leave a big rip in the middle of a piece of foil wasting it. Thick and pretty. I wasn’t sure what differences I could expect with a roll of aluminium foil, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is a mid size roll which is competitively priced. It is made in China, but the package and roll is recyclable. My first big tick is how the roll is properly contained, with an overlap and insert that full encloses the packet. It also means the included cutting strip is contained safely. The foil is thick, embossed and has an unusual pattern on it, which I thought was cool. It is noted on the packet it is heavy duty, which delivers. I used a spatula to remove items after cooking, the foil didn’t tear and the items didn’t stick too badly after cooking. Would recommend and will purchase again.

Whilst I don't personally do this, I was interested to read the warning but left puzzled as to WHY people should not do that. General: There is a lot of foil in this box! As I use foil maybe three times a year, this box will last me a LONG TIME! It seems quite strong and the cutting edge cut well. Not sure if anyone in Australia makes aluminium foil but it is disappointing to see such a heavy weighted product is being imported from overseas. Overall: - Seems to be good value and I would recommend to people who use foil regularly. - Personally, I wouldn't buy again simply because I choose not to use foil as I have read lots of bad things about the manufacturing processes being non-environmental and also small health warnings about not letting it touch your food. Just a personal opinion of mine. - I give this four stars out of five. It lost one star for being imported and for the non-recyclable plastic inserts.

Excellent! I will admit to previously being a brand snob when it came to foil - I don't know why I wasted all those $$ over all these years! This foil certainly stood up to the test in my kitchen. Have definitely switched brands now. Cutter was sharp. 150m lasts a long time - note that due to that volume of product, it is quite heavy (I keep mine in a drawer so not constantly lifting it). Overall a great product.

The blue colour is eye catching and the pack size is easy to spot with the big number "20" on the side (20 meters for this product). The cardboard strip rips off neatly to open the pack, without damaging the carton itself. I like that the metal cutting strip is adhered to the inside of the carton, only exposing the saw teeth when you open the carton. (see my other review - Armada cling wrap, which has a different design). The warning statement: "CAUTION: SHARP CUTTING EDGE" can be seen clearly before and after opening the carton. Fantastic foil. I've been buying this since it hit the shelves. It's just as good as other brands and half the price. Hold up well in the oven and on the bbq, great to cover food and perfect for for every day other uses like school projects and cleaning jewelry. Check out there freezer bags, also great quality.

The second one perplexed me 2. Do not cover stainless steel dishes or base of oven with aluminium foil.
