Armaf Club De Nuit Sillage - Eau de Parfum 30 ml

Armaf’s take on Creed Silver Mountain water is a must have for fans of the scent profile. The opening may lean a bit synthetic to some and could be off putting so I wouldn’t call this a safe blind buy. Once the opening gives way in the dry down is where this fragrance shines. Citruses and black currant are the prominent notes with soft floral notes following close behind. A soothing tea note is also present in the mix throughout the life span of the scent. Lives up to the name with great sillage and equally great performance of about 8-10 hours.

Been meaning to try this for a while as a regular user of the Club De Nuit in the black bottle, so glad I did as it's a lovely scent the bottle is gorgeous looking also in the chrome finish, it looks really classy. The scent is very fresh smelling, and longevity is pretty good also, only got it yesterday and tried it straight away, this morning I could still smell it on myself. Can imagine myself buying this one again. It hasn't got that harsh toilet cleaner chemical smell like some of the others have until they have calmed down. I like it!

Before buying this make sure you like Creed Silver Mountain Water. I personally have like for like compared the two fragrances and the Creed version has a better opening a slightly more magical aura. However, the Creed version lasted an hour or two this lasts 6-8+ hours easy hence vastly better performance and otherwise very similar profile overall. It must be said that you need to let this fragrance settle after transport and spray from a distance of at least 30cm for maximum dispersion as opposed to close range concentrated sprays. The opening is slightly challenging to begin with but quickly dissipates and the middle notes and dry down on this fragrance is then utterly heavenly. Once again I'd take this over the current watered down and overpriced Creed fragrance any day and for the price it is a no-brainer! Total bargain and stunning addition to anyones collection. BTW packaging and bottle is impressive and high quality. Very happy!

Great Alternative to SMW

I think it's a great alternative to SMW. All of these overly dramatic reviews are so annoying."It's not exactly like SMW", "it gave me a headache", "I wanted to throw up", "I didn't like the opening", blah...blah...blah! It's not that serious.Start buying samples and test it for yourself before you blind buy. As well, stop listening to everyone's made up description of what a cologne or perfume smells like and all of this unnecessary crying can be avoided.People just say anything...LOL. "It smells like an elephant with wings flying to the clouds on a spring day!" 🤣

I adore Silver Mountain Water and although I have a bottle I really don't think it (or any Creed fragrance) is worth the stupid price attached to it. I've tried a few dupes in the past and although some get fairly close if you don't sniff too close, none really get near the depth of the original. I'd heard good things about this one and having found CDN Intense to be a very decent approximation of Aventus I decided to give Sillage a try. I asked the mother in law to get me it for Christmas, so at the time of writing I've had a month to form an opinion... It's very good. Almost perfect. In some ways its better than the real thing and in others not quite. In a back of the hand side by side test, it's 90% the same. I found as both dried down, I struggled to smell the Creed as Sillage is significantly stronger and lasts longer too. There is that missing little bit of magic that you get in SMW - just a bit more depth, a slightly smoother blend, slightly higher quality but honestly, unless you're sniffing this up close and know the original well enough, it's impossible to tell. On my skin, SMW is all but gone within a few hours, becoming a close sitting skin scent. Sillage goes on much longer and projects much stronger. My only real criticism comes in the far dry down. Armaf have used an ingredient I've smelled in other cheaper perfumes (I'm no expert so I don't know much about the terminology) - it's a kind of synthetic, slightly smoky note that I've come to associate with cheap perfume and it's here, right in the far dry down. It's definitely not a deal breaker though, as we're talking next morning, just before I shower and it probably won't bother most people. But it's noticeably not present in SMW. Anyway, as far as my limited experience (and nose) goes, this is a very, very good dupe of Silver Mountain Water. And when you consider the price difference it's really a no brainer. I'll just keep the real thing for when I want to feel a bit more luxurious. Fantastic!

The bottle is a fingerprint magnet and has this weird keychain thing attached to it. Tbh I quite like it but I can't decide whether its tacky or classy. None of that really matters as for the average person as let's be honest no one gets judged on how their perfume collection looks. Onto to the fragrance... On the opening I there's citrusy blast with the soapy musk and a powdery bitterness that's balanced so wonderfully. If so, I can't compare them because I never had the original fragrance. But on its own, it's a nice smelling cologne. It didn't make an immediate impression on me at first, but I guess it just needed to set. It's got kind of a citrusy type of smell, evoking lemon I guess. I'm not a expert on breaking down notes in fragrances, but that's what it reminds me of. As far as longevity, I wouldn't say it lasts the longest, but the more I wear it, it seems like I've gotten a little more out of it. Now I will say this, and I don't say this to imply that it isn't worth getting. The woman that complimented me on this told me that it's the kind of fragrance that she would probably wear herself, which doesn't bother me at all, but some men may not want to hear that because that may imply that it isn't strong enough. I say that as this is kind of a light-smelling cologne. It's not overpowering. I think that is a good thing, although I myself am not above some more bite also. But all in all, it's good for what it is.

You approach a soggy old carpet that's been lying there for years, there are empty Tennents lager cans under it. Those cans, thats the metallic note. I'm not even kidding. If Silver Moutain Water smells even remotely like this and you pay 170, you deserve to be robbed. I will say this though, its waaay more palatable than Milestone which is just plain nauseating! I implore you, spend the 40+ on another frag. Prada Luna Rosa Sport is a bit different from the usual and can be found discounted to the 40 mark. Get that instead. I have seen so many different reviews on this scent , i have ARMAF Club De Nuit Intense Eau de Toilette of which is a little " Hyped " by people .... I was going to buy ARMAF Club De Nuit Milestone but reviews on numerous fragrance sites vary messing about letting the bottle " air " and longevity problems . Scent pleasant and different Longevity super and out preforms some top names but bare in mind this can vary from person to person , i recommend if you have dry / dryish skin do as i , shower apply non scented moisturiser and then spray it on , some peoples skin maybe fine without moisturiser ... Also take in to account this is more a summer scent but 09/09/22 i still had many hours . Would i purchase this again , yes over more top end scents and for the 30 mark its cheap and strong . People just do not wear this thinking it is CREED , just think you are wearing a strong nice scent and people shall compliment you
