Arrma Typhon 6S BLX 2020 Spec 1/8 Buggy RTR - ARA8606V5

A tremendously powerful buggy on 6s, such a hoot to drive. Build quality is excellent. It should have a motor cooling fan out of the box though, the motor gets very hot on 6s if you like to punch it and drive fast. The Spectrum electronics have some good features.

Best RC car for your money. Scary fast and easy to control. Takes a lickin' and keeps on ticken'. I looked at everything and the Typhon 3s V3 is a winner!!!! This thing shreds!!!! Can't wait to break it so I can upgrade it! Best car I ever bought!

It has been a good amount of time since I was in the RC hobby. I did a ton of research into materials, performance, and price with the newer RC vehicles. The Arrma Typhon was across the board what I was looking for. So I bought it. I am so happy I did. It's a BEAST! 4s running is fun, and super easy to control on any terrain. 6s is nuts! with the 16 tooth pinion, it screams. Plus there are a ton of parts out there for it. I curbed it second time out, and did mess up a couple parts. My bad hitting a curb at full speed... That being said, i spent $30 on the replacement parts, and right back to it. Be careful running on street is the lesson learned. I thought it would have been in pieces with the amount of times it flipped, and hit. Super happy. Highly recommend!

Fun but comes with issues

I wanted to give this a 5 star. Its really fun and has a ton of potential but there are some important issues holding this back: 1) the delay from the receiver to the car is noticeable and frustrating 2) on 3s, I cannot gun the throttle more than a couple times without the esc forcing lvc. This is not a battery issue. Does not happen on 2s. From what Ive read this is a common issue. 3) the motor mount has locations only for specific pinion gear sizes. Id like to use a 17 but its either a 15 or 20 Otherwise it is durable and quick and a lot of fun for me and the dog

Great buggy fast shipping. This buggy is a rocket. If youre on the fence on buying one just do it. I own a lot of arrma cars so this one fits right in to my fleet very well

One of the best RCs ever made

Bought this in june 2019 and been bashing it ever since. Ive been doing speed runs and jumping over 15ft. The only part thats broken were the shocks but i was still able to salvage them. Highly recommended

This thing is a spicy unit!

This thing is a spicy unit. I have been running 2 3s batteries, but I have heard that running on 4s is better for all the parts as it doesn't damage as fast and fail as often. I had my first time on a dirt track and I damaged a front wheel bearing and the front shock, although this was a used Typhon, so I imagine the parts were already going, I just did the final touch. It's a beast though and I love it. Tires are Badlands MTX, and 2-3s lipos that I'll be changing soon as they are puffed from many recharging times.

great product, have many arrma vehicles including the new big rock.. for the money and the simplicity of the design I think its a win. Certainly would recommend it. I cant tell you how durable as I haven't used it much but I'm expecting a good long life as I'm not a big basher but I love ripping it up. Definitely would buy it again.
