This is a very good rivet tool with a nice plastic carry case, complete with 50 rivets. The case even includes a snug holder for the two different size drill bits needed for installation. The tool is made of solid metal construction. I am sure the bad reviews are people that tried to use steel rivets with it. You cannot use steel rivets with a hand tool. It will break it. ONLY use aluminum rivets. (It's not designed to build a ship.) Match the same size / type rivets that came with the kit and you will use it for many years.

The RL100K is the best , was easy to use and worked great on a motorcycle chin fairing that I put metal over the plastic and rivet them together . and its looks great and clean and is very sturdy now. Arrow products are the best !! Larry R. Wiggins

I recently purchased my first pop rivet tool. I needed to make collars for bathroom roof vents I was going to install. It has worked flawlessly. The collars are sturdy and should last at least 100 years. If I were a professional using one every day, I would probably purchase a sturdier model. But for the occasional use around the house it is perfect at a fair market price.
I'm not a handy man. I had to take a practice rivet to figure out how it works. I used it to fix my gutters that lost its rivets. This tool works fine. I used the smaller included rivets. Maybe the negative reviews is from a person who doesn't know how to use this tool.
Used to repair seat supports on a kayak. Seat supports became loose and 1 broke out of the fiberglass kayak . replacing the support rivet which the seat straps attach to was a breeze.
