Amazing! I cannot believe how easy and simple this gas lift bed was to put together! The speedy arrival, the unpacking of items, I'm no internet shopper nor am I one to put flatpacks together!I had family on standby just in case, but I actually put this together by myself! I didn't rush it and in no time could see you didn't need to be a rocket scientist to put the bed together!I had also already purchased a good firm mattress to go on the base, and bam, altogether and made it up and so happy with my gas lift bed.I would highly recommend if anyone is looking for a main bed, and have limited storage, this is the perfect bed!

Artiss King Single gas lift bed frame

Delivery of this product came in three separate packages. In my case the bed head the day before the other parts. The assembly procedure was simply a matter of following the provided instructions with drawings and giving yourself an hour and a half to two hours to complete. Incidentally, buying through Bunnings was approximately $150 cheaper than through Myer for exactly the same thing.Kudos Bunnings!

Best price bed in Australia

Best deal and price. Also the bed has the storage system which is very practical. Would highly recommend anyone to buy it. I bought 4 beds for my new house. The only downside is the delivery service with hunter does not update in real time and i have to chase up for couple of days. Not sure how can i attach photos to show all my beds.

Decent looking bed with some flaws

The bed is of reasonable quality. The colour description was not accurate. We purchased the grey as it looks like a mid neutral tone of grey but in reality it is a gunmetal grey with a strong blue undertone. So it does not really coordinate with our carpet well.The bed also came a week later than suggested, it sat in the Perth warehouse for 4 days. The instructions were quite good but one major detail was missing in regards to the frame for the slats. It needs to be installed with the holes facing up. Also the gaslift fittings are so strong we can't push them down or they may be faulty. I was told by the supplier to try and push them really hard and was worried we may damage the frame. We will try again.

Great value bed.

Brought this for our son and is great for purpose. Putting together is basic, if not a little fiddly. Ditch the allen key and use a cordless drill where you can otherwise you'll drive yourself crazy fiddling with the little included key.The gas lift is effective and the bed feels solid when completed and a mattress on top.The underbed storage is not overly high, but better than nothing, however the lack of any enclosure means whatever you store will be sitting directly on the flooring underneath.Lastly, the plastic feet and metal frame do feel a bit "cheap" - however considering that this is a great looking, functional bed at a great price, this is a small issue that is easily accepted in the overall benefits you get from this bed.

Guest Bed

As it is the new guest bed, I probably can't give it a five star rating. It certainly looks very good and I must say it is comfortable after giving it a test once the new Emma mattress arrived.All up, it took me 2.5 hours to assemble by myself. A tip for future purchasers, while the supplied Allen Key does the job, the little spanner is not so effective and I'd suggest making use of a small socket set, if you have one. It will save you a lot of time. (if you have a longer allen key that fits, I also suggest you use that as well).The only negative comment would be on how the bed was delivered. It came in three separate boxes, two of which arrived on 19 January 2023, with the final box having departed Sydney on 18 January 2023, we didn't receive it until 27 January ... MoreAs it is the new guest bed, I probably can't give it a five star rating. Incredible quality and value, with caveats

I purchased this on advice from a family member who bought the queen version. I'm using in a very small bedroom (converted verandah) so size and access is a premium.Price is incredibly competitive - gas lift storage usually starts at twice the price, and in this price bracket only very cheaply made budget models are available. So this is a bargain straight off. It also arrived very quickly in three easily-handled boxes. You could possibly fit this in your car at pickup (check dimensions).Fit and finish is exceptional (for price) material is fair quality, appears durable and attractive. Some parts such as the castors are cheap plastic but these can be replaced easily if needed. Over all it is very strongly made - steel, structural timber, fittings and lift mechanics are all good quality (in class) with the exception of the headboard which has very light framing (40x19?) and a bit weak freestanding - it works perfectly fine if used as intended flat against a wall.There is no longitudinal support rail and it has curved bed slats, to reduce frame weight for lift ability. These are fit for purpose and could be upgraded easily by a handypeep if required. I weigh 125kg + and it has no problems supporting me.Assembly is straightforward as long as you pay close attention and follow the instructions carefully. It is very easy to get parts upside side or back to front or assembled out of order. There is one minor illustration error but asides from that as long as you take your time and think it through, it's easy. Spare fasteners and all tools needed are provided, although the spanner is junk and lasted 10 seconds before I went and got a ratchet drive.As commented often, yes there is NO base floor, so all items stored just sit on the floor under the bed. Storage trays or crates are recommended. It would be relatively trivial to fit trim and fabric to enclose it to keep out bugs and dust, or even install a light floor. I found the bed a little low (am 183cm) and needed more storage so I simply chocked the bed up by 100mm, it can now store 8 medium storage crates with ease in a whopping 0.3 x 1.1 x2.0m.The lift mechanism is quite frankly unbelievably good, well designed and balanced for this price. You can lift the entire fitted and dressed bed with pillows (and in my case a 10kg weighted blanket) with almost no effort. You almost need to hold it back to prevent take off. Lowering, it is important to do so from very centre to prevent tilting and hold it up a bit to stop it coming down in a rush at the very end. Lift not suitable for small children due to potentially injury or trapping, but fine for anyone else. Struts appear they could be re-gassed or replaced as required.Overfall I am super-impressed with this. There are some minor deficiencies and build is not super-strong but this is absolutely dominating at the price point with good features and design you won't find anywhere else (usually in $700+ range). I cannot recommend this enough, looks snazzy, robust (if treated with care), and massive storage at a great price.

Nice bed with lots of storage

My son loves this bed and there’s lots of storage underneath. Looks stylish as well.There’s no drawers or anything underneath though, so what you store under the bed is just on the floor. We will buy some storage containers so that it’s a bit more organised under there.It’s also quite challenging to put together. We’re not the handiest people though but have put together quite a bit of furniture. This one was definitely one of the most challenging we’ve done!

Perfect! Great storage. Very Happy.

Bought it for my very tall teen. Suits him well. Very happy with it. I did lose it a little getting a couple screws in but on the whole it was easy enough. Be warned however that contrary to the photographs on line, there is absolutely nothing in the base storage to keep it off the carpet and dust free. You lift the the slats up and are just looking at your carpet. I know anything under there is still going to get dust coming in from under the bed so will have to be stored in low crates or something. Just so you know.Delivery was great considering covid slowing things down and driver was kind.Def recommend and the price through Myer was cheaper for the same product than on multiple sights I looked at.
