I bought one of these, with the intention of buying another if I liked it. I wondered how it would be safely shipped, or whether it would come in sections and have visible joints on the light - my concerns were unfounded! It is shipped in a box only about 45cm long. While the metal frame has three sections plus feet, the light itself is encased in one long tube of white silicone, shipped folded, and unrolls safely and with no joins or creasing. The instructions are not particularly clear but the frame is simple enough anyway. The vertical parts fit together so tightly as to be a bit difficult but after some persistence they somehow just work. I was concerned about how to manage the ridiculously tiny screws (screwdriver included), but the parts fit together so well I didn't even use them! I chose this lamp over other similar ones because I wanted the light to face forward rather than into the corner, and that is how I've set mine up, but you could rotate it to any angle whilst having the feet stationary in the corner. Be aware that they are USB powered; this suits me as I have USB power points in the corners where I planned to use them. If you don't, you can get adaptors from mainstream stores including Big W. There are countless different single and multiple light functions, controlled by a remote which comes with batteries and runs without an app. I set mine to blue when I wake up in the morning and red to help my indoor plants photosynthesise in the afternoon. The remote has timer options which are good in the morning so I don't have to remember to turn off two lamps before work. The brightness is more impressive than expected from a USB power source. Needless to say, I did get my second lamp, and was surprised to find the remotes don't use infrared light - I can use one remote to control both lamps, in different rooms, at the same time. If this is inconvenient, or if someone in another room thinks it's funny to cause a disco in your room in the middle of the night, individual lamps can be turned off as they have an inline switch on the power cord as well. The only improvement I'd like to see is to make the lamp taller, and I couldn't find any that are, so given everything else, this is the best of the lot. They've thought of everything.
